  1. Could potentially be riding Jennifer Eccles in the Cox Plate. A nice carrot for Jason in making this decision. Good luck to him.
  2. Good luck Red Rum. I like Strategic Phil in the same race with Tom’s Billy Egan aboard. Perhaps quinella the Sardine with Phil. Good punting
  3. Indeed Tom. Billy has been in top form lately. Another up and coming jockey to keep an eye on is Lachy Neindorf. He rode a couple of winners at Murray Bridge yesterday and will be riding in Victoria shortly. He’s a gun. Very talented young hoop.
  4. VPN is a virtual private network Red Rum. They allow you to access international websites that are not accessible in your own country. They are very popular in China where Google and Facebook are not accessible to the public there.
  5. Nice tipping with Opacity. I thought Miss Einstein had him but she peaked on her run. Milwaukee forgive. Didn’t handle the heavy one bit. The Astrologist ran well without ever being a winning chance. Tough day on the punt today!
  6. Cold wet miserable day in Melbourne. Good day to spend inside watching the races. Flemington Race 6 #7 Milwaukee Currently paying $4.20 Fixed Race 9 #11 The Astrologist Also currently paying $4.20 Fixed Randwick Race 6 #10 Miss Einstein Has been strongly backed and will relish the heavy track track today. Now paying $2.80 Fixed Good punting
  7. Was this when Rod Stewart & Rachel Hunter attended Ponderosa?
  8. Indeed Red Rum. The science experiment is working a treat. Unstoppable even
  9. I’ll add Almond Eye to the experiment today boys. Tokyo Race 11#12 Good luck with Proud Mia Rusty
  10. Tough day at the office Red Rum. Rupture found to be lame in the off fore. Had a picnic in front and stopped at the 300 like he was shot. Run too bad to be true. Good time of year to have freshen up before the Brisbane winter carnival.
  11. Good luck Red Rum. She’s paying a good price $7.50 Fixed.
  12. Battled on well without a realistic winning chance HD. I’m very confident on Rupture to make it 3 in a row at Flemington in race 7. Currently paying $2.20 Fixed. He should be odds on in my opinion. The whole of Australia will be cheering him home!
  13. Flemington Race 3 #3 Top Pins Should get a nice run run up on the speed from a soft gate. Currently paying $8 & $2.70 Fixed Good punting
  14. Scone Race 6 #2 Hit The Target Unbeaten on the track (2 starts for 2 wins). Romped in by 5.5 lengths last time. Expect him to go straight to the front and do the same again today. Good punting
  15. Good price for a horse in form Red Rum. Will make sure I tune in for Empire Liberty tomorrow night.
  16. Moruya Race 7 #6 Revitup Rednut Should make it 3 on the trot today where she is a course specialist (8 starts for 4 wins and a placing) Currently paying $2.50 Fixed
  17. Race 7 #5 Mean Mister Currently paying $7.50 & $2.60 Fixed Will love the soft track where he’s never finished out of the money (6 starts for 2 wins and 4 placings). Should sit handy in the first 4 or 5 and be too strong late. Good punting
  18. Here’s a wrap from 2 of the pros Dicko & Scoot. Very entertaining viewing. Dicko is very keen on the spruik horse Russian Camelot to win the SA Derby tomorrow. Currently paying $4 Fixed.
  19. Yet again your biased perspective is to the fore here Colin. It was actually Baz who referenced Neil Davis in this thread. I merely retorted his comment after the fact. If Baz hadn’t mentioned Neil Davis nothing would’ve been said about him. That’s clear bias. You’re only seeing what you want to see.
  20. To honest with you Bazzy I was fully prepared to lose the full $500. That being said, even when the bank was down to around $70K with just over an hour to go, I never lost the faith. But if I had done my dough completely the entertainment provided over the 2 days was totally worth it. Seeing 5 professionals dissect the form and punt aggressively in real time is a sight to behold particularly when you’re dealing with the calibre of these guys. With a few unlucky seconds they could easily have ended up with over $600K doubling the starting bank and the electrifying finish where they went BANG BANG BANG with 3 consecutive big collects was crazily good!! They would’ve lifted the roof off the joint if Nashville Sound had won!! (Even the race caller Ric McIntosh called him the “BOOLDOZER horse” in his call)
  21. Of course it’s all about the ratings Barry. Would you prefer listening to someone like boring old Neil Miller bitching and moaning about the same old shit that is the perpetual dismal state of NZ racing? Yaaaaaawn.
  22. Sounds good Tom. We may see you in Christchurch beforehand as we were supposed to be flying to The States yesterday. The South Island could be a viable alternative in the meantime. Will keep you informed if they run another punters club. Was definitely a lot of fun over the 2 days especially with the “Kiwiesque” type finish in the end!
  23. Percentage cut? There was no percentage cut. On the contrary they awarded 4 bonus bets of $1,000 each for every $100,000 we bet with them. They also offered top fluc so we received best odds of all the corporates with the bets placed.
