Must go down as the most respectful reply ever seen on this website.

Shad reacted to Huey in Training costs AU
You've still got to win , that's not a given in this game.

Shad got a reaction from La Zip in Trainer for stayers
Baker Foresman be my pick, although wouldn't be a smaller stable, the art of training a stayer seems lost these days.

Shad reacted to Dibbles in Underrated Broodmares
Another nice mare who was with an owner/breeder who had a lot of fun breeding and racing all her progeny herself.

Lautenschlager (Forensic Evidence) - 13 wins Listed winner
Schockemohle (Senor Pete) - 6 wins Group placed
Bechtolsheimer (Remind) - 7 wins Cup winner
Schmeckenbecher (Senor Pete) - 5 wins

Shad reacted to Blue in NZB May Sale today
Not "ouch" at all Scotchy. That's the risk breeders take be they horses, cattle or anything that goes to auction. If a breeder pays $7K to get his mare in foal he doesn't neccessarily have the right to expect someone to pay $20 or $30K for the offspring a year later. That's what the market says they're worth on the day. And as an Aussie cattle breeder told me years ago "it's always better to be sorry you sold than sorry you didn't sell."

Wise men ride them, fools breed them, and old fella sold me some years ago, have never forgotten his words of wisdom, pity didn't take his advice.

Shad reacted to Cubes in Well done Edward
If Cubes is any good at Maths (which we aren't) , then Edward broke maiden ranks yesterday @ Wingatui in his 30th start .
" Well done " said Dodecahedron , whose real first name is Edward as well .
Cubity knows those feelings of countless "almost"s , but The Cubinator never quite seems to get that glorious victory to get us over the line..... don't quite seem to be in sync with the universe.....or maybe it isn't in sync with the Cubemeister.....
But surely all 'Cafers should be inspired by the mighty Volksraad gelding that greeted the judge in Dunners yesterday
And maybe that elusive triumph is just around the corner for all of us........

Shad reacted to Insider in Monaco Consul for sale unreserved
He might be cheap. You could then tell your grandchildren later on that you once owned a Derby winner. LOL

Shad got a reaction from Pam Robson in Waimate
Totally agree, a credit to them, could have easily thrown in the towel, made a meeting there a long time ago, enjoyable day out, would like to get to kurow for a look, but they only race once a year and its a busy time work wise for me, did get to omakau few years back, invercargill, riverton and a few others on the list. Can't beat those country meetings, and looks like they are an endangered species.

Shad got a reaction from Cubes in Searching woman's handbags oaks day trentham
Now, now, cubes, your abit harsh, calling your horse a donkey, in all fairness you got your charge their, made the field, and gave a good sight for most of the race, regardless where you finished, you can say you were there, and you had a runner in the race.A credit to all concerned.

Shad got a reaction from Dopey in Canterbury Belle
Dave kerr also trained the gaffa, redback, and straight line i think, probably many more that i have forgotten about.

Shad got a reaction from elbow in Canterbury Belle
I believe she is resting at waterlea racecourse, although stand to be corrected, what a heartbreaker that was, i've never forgot it, was a huge fan of her, she was by noble bijou and Canterbury belle by Beaufort sea i think, always liked the progeny of that sire, think he had a horse in one of the cup races, call melco or something similar, used to follow sharebroker also a handy type in his day. Left some handy types.

Shad got a reaction from jasonmccook1 in Cubes takes the walk of shame to the Woolston TAB again
Had my syndicate bets at Wellington saturday, didnt return a cracker, not even close, still getting over visiting that dark place when you come up empty, happens quite regularly race day to, just can't seem to resist a couple of roughies. A fool and their money are soon parted, a wise man told me.
