Every medication has a trade off, sometimes more than one.

You boys, I always enjoy the all the threads and the site, but just a shame some of them get spoilt with comments on the opposition, I know it’s a bit of tit for tat, but for me you’ve got a great site and everyone appreciates and enjoys it, and best concentrating on doing what you very well, and the rest will take care of itself, I know it must take a lot of time and money and dedication to run a good site, just my opinion, not to be taken out of context, Cheers Shad.

Give those two trainers horses with a bit of ability and they'll show that they know what they are doing. Congrats Suzy and Tina.

Our family have five tailhairs (4 MYR, 1 FRAC) between us. It is a cheap interest for us. We'll quite likely increase that number as time goes on. MYR will likely get our money if we do.
We no longer punt more than a very odd sentimental $1ew so we're probably saving money while having our bit of fun...lol
For the record from 3 to race - First investment - Zormella - 2 wins, 2 placings (stakes placed) and Kiwi runner, second investment- Imperial Rose - 1 x2nd, 1 x4th; third investment -Incandescent - 2 wins (stakes winner & stakes placed).
The remaining two are unraced rising 3yro's in Aussie
Yep, we're enjoying it 🙂, but totally understand that this type of ownership isn't for everyone.
Btw, I have raced TB's alone, in other smaller syndicates and acted as a Syndicate Manager many times so I have experienced the ownership game across the board.
I wish everyone in the ownership game the best of luck regardless of the size of your investment.

Shad got a reaction from Pam Robson in license suspended
Always good to hear both sides of the story, sometimes things are not always as they seem, a friend of mine had a dog that used to run up n down the inside fence line of the paddocks chasing cars, as he was a herding dog, next thing there’s a knock a the door from the authorities making sure the dog was healthy and looked after, and was found to be in perfect health, as a livestock owner, these days your almost paranoid if there’s a limp or a hobble in your stock, as it only takes one complaint and your under scrutiny. Hence we all have to put the welfare of our animals first, a tragedy there’s been many of our toddlers over the years that have slipped through the cracks and let down by those around them, and the system.

What a terrible side show.
I still think a grass series would be cool at Ellerslie, even a combined codes meeting once a year. Early start, late finish.
Just something completely different to the norm.
My tips have got more chance of winning than this happening I'm thinking

Don't write off all trainers, Cluny. There are plenty of others- some small, some larger- that respect their owners and the lovely horses.

Well, didn't disappoint. But not all that easy for punters as the $290 quinella and 14k trifecta suggests. Turn the Tide was once trained up north wasn't he, a winter Te Rapa specialist. Suzy Gordon has done a good job of keeping the old fella happy. Chajaba is also getting on. Connections knew what they were doing. A quick backup on a suitable track.
Bring on the Winter Cup!

Had to laugh at Mike McNabs decision to lock up Sweet but Rails while the leader ambled around setting up a pedestrian 2.14 2100 on a day they ran a sub 1.22 1400.... if they ran a 'race' like this in Oz heads would roll

Vaccinating the wildlife, they’ll kill more than they’ll save, remind me of the doc ordered cull of pūkeko a few years back, when the miss identified the breed an culled a few takahe, just bloody crazy, they’ve told the free rangers to lock up there birds, that’ll ruffle a few feathers, bring back cages keep your birds safe😂 sounds like there’ll be poultry offerings across the board, and the chicken will be coming home to roost or not, Nz gone bloody mad, as usual there be someone making a dollar or to, while the rest battle for survival.

Good luck with those two tomorrow Gruff n Stuff, like Line Dancer last start, only on breeding, paid 20s a place, talked myself out of backing it, in same race as alc atraz both horror draws on that track, will need plenty of luck, Looking forward to Sunday at Oamaru, the pair are reunited again, for a chance of that race meeting in the South, good course record, and about time the gun rider was back on, couple other mine in to, Tavi Ann always running on for last 3 starts that’s what see seems good at, maybe tad unlucky last start, odds short, Tralee bay, Captain Upham, both rough same race captain out of his grade, just about the last winner I backed when he paid 60$ at Greymouth, Ruffhouse Rosie goes ok, this her second run back, been a long time between drinks.
