  1. Crickey all that technology, wonder if tells them how often they fart, I guess at the end of the day some will need the stop watch, and some the alarm clock in layman's terms, pay ya money and take ya chances.
  2. Very true words those, so easy to lose customers, but oh boy very tough to get them back.
  3. Yes mi Carol a tidy performer, I let her go today at my peril, did get a collect off her the time she paid over 30s, sometimes you wonder wether there is any thought or plans go into some of these rides, from a wide draw on a turning track you either gamble an go forward or back for cover, or even don't bother starting, a mate had one in who thought would go well, draw wide which was a red flag for me for starters, well regarded senior rider aboard,I thought has to go back, jumped well neither went forward or back, instead sat three wide the trip, if you go back you ride for luck, but to neither and give a horse a gut buster early in its prep, at least if you go back and leave the ability to the horse to run on, you'll have a horse for next time.
  4. The dollars and cents will be the key, many young ones go for a booze up on the day, then there's all the fashion brigade, how deep are their pockets, usually only there for the prizes, let's hope they have better luck than last year, interesting the distance races always were 2500m, I see now they've upscale to 2600m, any reason.
  5. Certainly left a few wet trackers in his day
  6. Yes I also had the pleasure of being invited to one of cubes cup day events, may have been the year pump up the volume won, would have to been the best outing I've had at riccarton, the company and hospitality he showed us, was second to none.I remember the park royal back in the day, was the creme of da creme in accommodation, mind you with those 80 to 1 odds with borana would of helped, is it still operating these days
  7. To be fair riccarton hasn't got a lot to offer, best view is to watch on the monitor cause everything is so far away, the big monitor last time I was there was quite blurry, better to head to the coast over the new year period, great atmosphere and great racing, if they can get through a day, the corporate box is good at riccarton if your fortunate to get an invite,
  8. Do the syndicate still owner her at the end of her racing career or right through to a possible broodmare sale
  9. Didn't realize that was briget on tv1, but a good start, and great to have someone with knowledge about the game, swapped over when the went to the fashion presenter, TV1 don't show the birdcage parade usually, which is a shame.
  10. All good things come to an end they say, but it's nothing new, over the years we've seen a few departures, Davey mc Kevin Payne and ian chambers some years ago, not to say that I agree with it.
  11. The dry tracks maybe an issue as well, favourite given a perfect ride, but just not good enough on the day, which ever way you look at it just about all are bred in the northern hemisphere, just aussie trained some, just goes to show they know how to breed stayers over there.
  12. Certainly a legend of the deep south.
  13. Cheers for the update, had a look today but could see him with any rides
  14. Just wondering wether he's been riding lately or not.
  15. What do they say about those that live by the sword, not one ounce of sympathy from this corner, saved it all for the vax injured and those that lost there jobs, but according to him they had a choice.
  16. Just maybe none of them have much interest in racing, quite a possibility, and that would make sense if they haven't been sighted.
  17. Winning races in any form is like gold in my book, and there's nothing like that winning feeling, if you can achieve any financial profit that's a huge bonus, at the end of the day savior those wins, and if one is worried about the possible returns or lack of they are better to look elsewhere, racing is purely a passion, obviously unhinged has that passion, and dedication, these people are getting harder to find, and are to be commended.
  18. Lots of interesting results, samoa push Ireland, can the aussies upset the French tonight, Good on fijians, played very well against France last week, and score didn't reflect their game, benefits from super rugby has helped for sure.
  19. Only one game, hard to win with 13 or 14 players, bring on the French, pressure on them in front of their passionate home crowd
  20. No use having a party up there, just no atmosphere
  21. Unfortunately the price of recording the game, always something or someone who can't keep quiet, best watch it live and tape races, no one be bothered on telling you who won.
  22. Interesting no sky rewards for this long term customer, you must be the chosen one.
