  1. The committee that run Auckland Racing Club, should be sacked. No racing Easter Monday and the EASTER HANDICAP is being run on APRIL 23,!! this has been happening for some years now, that doesn't make it any better. To stop making a laughing stock of themselves, the race should be renamed. Is this the directive from the Thoroughbred Racing Board or the TAB? if so they should be sacked.
  2. And they didn't tell the truth!! their horse had all the advantages when they discovered that the inside was dry and instructed Matt Cameron to stay against the rail and he wouldn't be challenged, we noted with interest in the next race he rode wide on the track, and the horse who raced on the inside was the winner again.
  3. What a load of cobblers, No Intent? what does that mean? and were the cows tested? if not why not?
  4. Well said, he has been an amazing jockey, what a shame he has blotted his copybook bigtime.
  5. I think that you are the ignorant, why hasn't the O'Sullivan Scott partnership been charged yet?
  6. Unfortunately as a newcomer to this site, I have today, posted my reply from the Minister of Racing under the Heading, TAB monopoly must go.

  8. I recently wrote to the Minister of Racing, complaining about the poor state of racing in New Zealand. I mentioned Stake Money,Trial Fees and the donation of monies from the TAB into online accounts!!, where does this money come from I wanted to know. Unfortunately in his reply on December 17 2015 he ignored these concerns, but assured me " that the Government has currently no plans to become involved in providing stake money." He went on to tell me something we all know, that the New Zealand racing industry is very important as it contributes $1.6 billion to New Zealand's GDP and provides the equivalent of some 17,000 fulltime jobs , it appears to me all take and no give, and this is not good enough.(think of the tax take.) I also asked him whether he wanted to be remembered as useless as his predecssor, he said he is "committed to working with the racing industry to ensure it is sustainable in the long term. and continues to provide an enjoyable and colourful recreation option for New Zealanders ." yeah right!
