The issue is now they are cutting the amount of litters able to be breed, stopping brood bitches at 7 and limiting Aussie imports. The theory is that good bitches will stop racing as soon as restricted age is over to get 3 litters if you are lucky out of them. so if they are trying to cut this and trying to cut imports then where are the dogs going to come from ? Greyhound racing in nz won’t exsist.....

Hifi allegro would also have to be right up there she was the only sprinter to win all three of the top sprint races in one season and hold the recently passed record for most winners.

For Cole kennels, cant be easy in the current atmosphere. Outstanding

I don't what is going on but you would think the greyhound authorities would correct the media.it sounds like he is the face of greyhounds when he is just a stable hand. Makes it look worse for the industry calling him a top trainer.
 

Nothing more than a witch hunt here Hedley. Lets look at the evidence thus far. Some blurry poor quality photos of what appears to be B Cole and another person tying something on the end of a line. It could be an untanned skin from a shot or dead rabbit,  or for that matter, a road kill. Then again it could be Grannies old fur coat chopped up, it could also be artificial fur, or an old rag. We have two employees giving evidence, one a former worker whom has his voice disguised and face hidden claiming Cole live baited whilst he worked there with chickens on a weekly basis. The other employee defends Cole and says he never ever saw any evidence of this practice, who do you believe.
Now I am not defending Cole for one minute,  what I am defending is the facts in this matter, and from what I know of the case, they seem to be few and far between. It appears Cole is guilty of winning to many races, and dominating the CD, and the roots of this investigation is born out of jealousy. It has become a lynch mob mentality. Again I say, regardless whether Cole is guilty or not, this whole fiasco, and the lack of real evidence shows just how dangerous this has become to all and sundry connected to the sport. The NZGRA need to put up, or shut up. They have had months to wind this up, instead they have allowed rumour and lie's to take over.

Wheel nuts were loosened three times and two seperate trainers and there employees  are lucky to be alive. Greyhound trainers have lied on tv before. I believe that this is no different. media shows what they want to and it happens regularly that they don’t always have all the facts. Let’s just see the end result before jumping to conclusions. 

I also saw those photos and think they are pathetic.... they show nothing and the fact that they have been sent out to people by someone in the industry is very disheartening. People need to get a life and leave them alone.

I Believe the shit has been caused by people in the industry trying to put negativity on a successful trainer who has yet to be proven of any wrong doing...

modest mouse you clearly don't know much about breeding. Where did your stud dog captain coutts come from ? ( bigtime explorer) wonder who breed that dog, I'll give you a hint with the bigtime. Maybe you should think about how Cole Is in the position of being able to breed and have the set up he has got. Maybe it was a little thing that some trainers lack called work ethic. 

Grnz put their roadshow on with their objectives to try and change the perception of the sport to the general public (which lets face it is terrible) and to try to intice new people to get Involved in the sport. I thought It was good. obviously proof is in the pudding and we'll see how it goes. But every old school participant just winges about everything that happens and is proposed in this game. I don't envy any person that works or has worked in the admin of the greyhound industry, in fact I think they are great because in the 20 years I've been in the game, it hasn't mattered who has been in charge or what they try, the same people just moan and moan!

Don't worry about the future the Coles have 5 children all coming through, all keen on the dogs. If they are learning off there father it will be a very interesting game in the years to come. There is youth coming through but they are learning. Sam lozell has started off recently and is doing very well with his small team. If you have the drive for it then just like any work place you can make it to the top. The money can't be to bad just look at the amount the top trainers on the premiership have made.
