While I'm ranting can we stop calling them bad apples etc most of them involved, have for the most part done plenty for the Industry.... they have worked hard and not just for there own benefit, like most in the Industry do. They have helped lots of people out , giving jobs,advice and great racing thrills to many. They are people who will give the time of day to anybody and are very pleasant to be around. You can at least show them a tiny bit of respect as human beings at least if nothing else. Now I'm not defending any actions. The horse has been trialing super. yes he did a little bit of work to get to the front but nothing more than you would expect from any horse drawing 8! once in front he got very comfortable sectionals which gave him every possible chance of winning the race. Sooooo maybe the horse just went terrible (which they all can do from time to time). I think he made a bad judgement call! he has probably watched his boss do the same thing plenty of times. Although mark usually finds a gap. I'm not saying it was right and that he shouldn't get a small fine but to me he made a judgement call. I'm pretty sure, having seen him drive before if he thought he was travelling like a winner at the top of the straight he would have pulled out. That's not saying I think he woulda won. to compare that to what argue did is just ridiculous.
