Normally close together however when I got late bets on only the tote remained open. When it comes to betting scams the Aussie's have a monopoly on the encyclopedia. The thread anyway nothing to do with bookie betting. Looking at the reasons for the late, late tote flucs. Although bookie's unloading on to the tote a possibility. If they are able to do so after or at the point of close a concern.
You are unable to comprehend why I asked that question. If the race was still open after the jump you'd bet fixed odds so your price wouldn't drop like you seem to think it does on the tote. The truth is both close at the same time. There isn't any skulduggery like you arw trying to imply.

So you think the tote betting and the fixed odds betting on a race get shut at different times?

Yes a very good crowd at Wanganui racecourse on a cold day, likely more than before because we have all been missing the experience during the racing hiatus.
Great to see T Lee commentating despite the rumors he was finished, and there were tote operators!
Pick up the Whanganui Chronicle in the cafe this morning and not one mention that there were races in town yesterday. How has it got to this?
Our NZTR leaders better start announcing their marketing and promotion plan for the future or we will become a (more) forgotten industry.
Are you blind? The full fields were in the Chronicle.

Sorry, you thought you'd train a winner in July before Pitman. Still confident of that?

Within what timeframe and how do you decide whether you get 4 or 5 points tote or 1 or 2 for FOB?
1 year. Win place vs exotics. Racing vs sports.
-
Pretty simple formula. 100 points to reach elite status. Each $1000 of tote turnover is 4 or 5 points and each $1000 of fixed odds is 1 or 2 points.

You have probably received a CV of late from a bloke named Glen Saville. Apart from being a complete fraud, unable to make competent decisions, unable to build a culture of success, despite being a bully, not very smart and a terrible communicator he will be a real asset for your business. Honestly, please employ him. He's singlehandedly brought the NZ racing industry to its knees, a unique achievement in itself and I'm sure he'd enjoy doing that to your business too.
Thanks in anticipation of behalf of everyone who cares about NZ racing.

I see the TAB are taking bets prior to 1 p.m. on Anzac Day. This is not a good look.
The public's reverence for Anzac Day seems to have increased over the past twenty years. The TAB's actions do nothing to enhance the industry in the eyes of Joe and Josephine Public.
To give you a better idea; in the grog trade there are three days that you are not allowed to sell grog; Good Friday, Easter Day and Christmas Day. There is only one other day in the year that you are not allowed to sell grog before 1 p.m.; that being Anzac Day.
They've taken bets via their online platform for 20+ years on ANZAC Day morning.

So who didn't get their facts straight?

Indeed Red Rum. 100% agree.
My point was just that it was a different tipster (Daryl Curnow) who tipped Randwick yesterday and not Neil Davis as mufasa has stated. That’s all.
No apparently here. Keep digging. After the theft of the voucher saga I didn't think your reputation could get any lower. But you just continue to embarrass yourself on this chat site. Keep digging.

That’s what he told me initially however he’s since retracted that for whatever reason.
Oh so those facts you mentioned weren't exactly facts. Right.

8 winners the day after the event. Well.done champ. Show us the proof.
I think what he includes in his research is reading the race results at the end of the day.

Congrats on not being involved. Perhaps the "old farts" have that bit of wisdom.
Spending I believe $110,000 just not the right thing to do at this point in time. And for "a bit of fun" nonsensical. Particularly not on NZ racing.
Bill Waterhouse the bookie that took on allcomers would have loved BGP. Expecting New Zealand form followers to somehow have the edge over Australian bookie prices borders on arrogance. I've seen the effort and commitment consistently winning punters put in. I once supplied harness data and video recordings to a group of Australian punters and it took them 6 months of study before they had their first bet. In that time they took several trips to NZ to establish contacts. Even blew me up for cutting off the start of races on the videos. This was before the videos were on the internet.
Not decrying the 16,000 membership but still waiting for something really positive.
If ever one single post epitomised what is wrong with NZ racing, this is it.

How to turn a "hard luck" thread into a "gloating" thread in one easy post......
100% agree Idolmite and what's worse is the horrible attention seeking cretin is wrong. It wasn't Seachange's second attempt at achieving the triple crown. That was her 4 year season. Her 2nd attempt was as a five year old when Princess Coup won.
