Again , facts are facts which is all Dynamite has done.

Not so sure about that. Pretty sure that Dunns have outspent AS  in recent years at sales yet the latter's owners have won more in stakes. This might suggest that MP has a better eye than RD  when it comes to yearling selection. I know from experience that AS sack underperformers quickly which i admire. No point in wasting their time and your money- great business model if you ask me

Dunns have a-lot of homebred in the barn and to have 700 starters with a udr of .2500 is impressive.

Next trainer on starters is House at 564 but a udr of only.1760.

Their imput into the sport is huge and should be thanked not questioned re skill level.

    Cheers Iraklis

It was an Employee of HRNZ who canned the races and hung up on Williamson & Branch when they questioned him.

The handicapper is a Lone Ranger who seems to have incredible power !

Maybe people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones - shall we list them ?

  4. Inca has been nearly six years since start , say $12 + million spent, police surveillance , wire tapping , full police effort and no fixing found .
We have stable pre racing visits and blood take - Thursday unannounced - on day pre race testing and use numerous laboratories including international .

The only fault in the discipline is the very inconsistent behaviour of the stipes.

The vitriol on people like you are killing the sport

So the rules should just be ignored when you don't like their application? I doubt if the horse would agree.

The simple facts are that DeFilippi knew the rules — he's fallen foul of this one on several occasions before — and he knew when cup day is. One doesn't have to be Brain of Britain to join the dots. All this sentimental wailing and gnashing of teeth misses the fundamental point that he brought this on himself. Abusing the judiciary is just shooting the messenger.

And for all those tempted to squeal "but what about X?", well, yes, consistency would be good, but not confusing two wrongs with a right is better. The judiciary should be applauded for not succumbing to that kind of fallacious logic.

    Basil

How can a special treatment driver charged with the same offence but not actioned at Kaikoura have his hearing on Friday and so drives cup day .

He had time in his driving program to have on day hearing but he is part of the protected family who can do no wrong in the stipes eyes.

You are a bitter person Basil with no empathy , justice in body and like a gruppy  old atheist .

This may see, at last, the structure of the RIB changed for the good and the  dead body mover maybe restructured

I have seen footage of the track Mulebacker...it could not race as it was today yesterday or earlier this week.

Then why not transfer to AWT Wednesday and again open up nominations

  7. The RIU have not been proactive - which everyone thought was going to happen with the restructure - to investigate some sensible thresholds  to be considered and implemented.

We have a ridiculous  nil/low caffeine count which is far far lower than an Olympic athletic (horse mass versus human) , meths/p ridiculous - even healthy homes have reviewed when a house needs a deep clean etc, cobalt continual saga and many others.

Surely sensible people with balance in their life can sit around a table and set some logical  levels - they did it for bi-carb and even increased Harness level as at one silly stage thoroughbred had a permitted higher reading than harness .

Last two positives have been a caffeine positive in galloper as trainer pissed in the same spot after 3 cups of coffee a day so seepage under wall to bedding - agreed as cause by RIU - but lost race and $6k fine then this admitted not trainers fault P case.

Makes RIU look a vindictive group who are doing the sport a lot of harm.

They should report the amount found , advise its spread with Olympic rules and then review all levels as this is damaged the sport and their reputation .

  8. The rules of racing give no chance of justice to an innocent party .

You are innocent , and RIU agree , but you loose the stake and follow up  hearing the trainer will be fined or disqualified .

If we were in the highest court in NZ you would never be charged - it is just not fair .

RULING OF ADJUDICATIVE COMMITTEE PURSUANT TO RULE 918(1) RULES OF NZ THOROUGHBRED RACING

    1.   The Applicant has sought a Ruling pursuant to Rule 918(1) in relation to the outcome of Race 1, “The HR Fisken & Sons Ltd 1200m” at the Auckland Thoroughbred Racing at Pukekohe on 28 May 2022.

    2.  The horse “FLIP ‘N’ EASY” , part owned and trained by Mr M Thompson (who holds a Class B permit to train licence) finished first, with the Judge’s placings being:

    First:          FLIP ‘N’ EASY

    Second:     MODERNISE

    Third:        GIMME, ALL YOUR LOVIN

    Fourth:       SERENA’S SPIRIT

    Fifth:           MADIRAN

    Sixth:          EXCLUSIVE FIGHTER

    3.  FLIP ‘N’ EASY was correctly swabbed post race and on later analysis at the  New Zealand Laboratory, the urine sample was found to be positive to the drugs Methamphetamine and Amphetamine.  Methamphetamine is a Class A Controlled Drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975 and a Prohibited Substance under the NZ Rules of Racing.

    4.  When interviewed Mr Thompson was unable to explain how the positive sample may have arisen.  Subsequent investigations ascertained that the stable area in which the horse had been stabled at Mr Thompson’s property was extensively contaminated with Methamphetamine which was attributed to previous tenants of that property.

    5.  Under Rule 804(1) it is mandatory that a horse that competes in a race with a Prohibited Substance in its metabolism (system) be disqualified.  Mr Thompson as Trainer, part owner, and Racing Manager has formally consented to such disqualification.

    6.  Accordingly “FLIP ‘N’ EASY” is disqualified from its placing in the race in question and the revised placings (with stakes to be paid accordingly) are:

    First:          MODERNISE

    Second:     GIMME, ALL YOUR LOVIN

    Third:         SERENA’S SPIRIT

    Fourth:       MADIRAN

    Decision Date: 14/07/2022

    Publish Date: 15/07/2022

    Note :

“Subsequent investigations ascertained that the stable area in which the horse had been stabled at Mr Thompson’s property was extensively contaminated with Methamphetamine which was attributed to previous tenants of that property.”

Wouldn't hold me breath JJ mate, just wish Inca had been more effectively decisive than the shit show it turned out to be, that in my opinion only made things worse....I mean really what's out there to deter anyone? there's no respect for RIU so whats left? course they gunna try it on.....

    Cheers Iraklis

“Inca had been more effective…”  -

Are you implying the RIU & Police should of won charges which defendants were were not guilty of and to continue the standard Police record of charging the wrong person which has happened for years .

Even a stipe has a record of jailing someone for murder who was latterly cleared and paid a large compensation sum.

The shit show, which has created the disrespect and divide,  is all RIU doing.

There was no race fixing - it should of been closed off as no case to answer after 2 months and the Police should of stopped listening to the personal crusade the RIU was running.

RIU are similar to Putin - arrogantly aggressively walk in and they will roll over.  It didn’t  go to plan as why should innocent people rollover when no crime committed - and still more like Putin RIU will not accept public opinion is against them and the facts don’t add up to fixing plus the Police really don’t think it is a “serious crime issue” .

However, their arrogance knows no bounds so they push push the prosecutor to keep pushing for no result on the warrants granted for the wire tapping etc.

All respect for RIU gone at a cost of $15 + mill

If RIU was so certain why didn’t they do their job and complete the investigation - no need to bring in the Police as it just confirmed they are not up for the job.

Nigel McGrath banned for 8 years has now been given permission from gary woodham to break in horses only 2 years into his suspension, hrnz have changed their rules to give Woodham the right to make these decisions himself, perfect example of the head rotting the fish. Why would the riu bother catching these rotten cheats when another one can just change the rules when it suits

    Rubbish

No. I think what he is trying to say is that drug, or exotic substances, arsenic tonic etc offences, a fine is not sufficient punishment. Maybe a fine OK if a genuine slip-up but that's not usually the case. He is saying that the rules need to be strictly enforced. First time, fine OK and severed reprimand. Second offence, automatic loss of training licence. If everyone is aware of these rules and that they will enforced will clean up the industry. Unfortunately, there a still a few cowboy rogue trainers and owners out there, the industry does not need these people and they must be weeded out asap, in my humble opinion of course.

What about the nil caffeine in system rule - versus athletics / Olympics which by memory have a 100 max - which can be caused by pissing at the back of your boxes after having a couple of a cups of coffee.

This is a shocking rule/threshold and needs to be in line with international  sport limits.

Last week totally innocent trainer looses $15k stake and $2 k fine but you are suggesting strike 1 suspension  and next positive out for life.

The caffeine rule needs amendment immediately before you start throwing around life penalties .

The summary of facts from the court was released on Friday. Sad reading and shocking dishonesty from Mr Kerr. The industry does not need crooks like him. Good riddance!!

He is an addict - same as a drug addict and alcoholic - sad case for everyone .

Many professionals and business people are meths addicts and have to fight the demon.

I so enjoy comments from perfect righteous people .

Absolutely right. The free masonry of the harness community meant the Inca charges were always going to be tough to prove, but absence of evidence isn't the same thing as evidence of absence. There's a lot of denial going on...

Rubbish - no evidence in crown case(s).

Do you guys realise that a LOT of cases that go to court, are given Not Guilty from various reasons (beyond reasonable doubt , etc)

Bloody stupid saying 'Shoot the prosecution' because they Didn't Win the case. Try and prosecute the lies from offenders and see how you go?.

Posters here should hang their heads in shame for trying to bag the authorities that are needed to Keep the Game Clean and the participants honest .

Would be total CHAOS without them .  where money is involved you know it brings out the calculating and the devious. Believe it or not . Always has in racing.

I don’t they we are saying no RIU and a free for all .

We are saying it needs a serious spring clean with new staff and change in appeal and bench personnel plus structure .

All the stipes with personal crusades, driven by jealousy , wrote excited child like  emails that the raids will be so much fun  , cannot read a race and could not find any money trail need to be fired .

The present association  between RIU and trainer, driver and industry is at a condemn all stage with hate drivers by the suits.

All parties need to build trust between each other and this has to lead by the RIU as over the last 10 plus years they have managed to loose all the respect they had.

They are not the FBI , NZPolice, secret service . They are enforcing rules of racing with respect and fairness so -

    - all failed cops need to steep down as been there too long , failed in there role and lost all respect in the sport

    - all failed junior drivers need to go as cannot read a race and have also lost respect in the sport because of been over jealous of others (terrible trait)

    - the hearing bench needs cleaned out  as full of zipper framed old judges , people who don’t know the sport , have preconceived or directed ideas / penalties and are liking in the “old world” of judiciary .

    - bench and appeal bench needs seperate administration and totally divorced appointees.

I could go on but respect is earned and the present lot will never be respected.

The  whole sport / industry needs to respect the judiciary - which we have at a few years ago - until a few dictators in stipe roles started to run the whole show.

  15. 20 hours ago, Iraklis said:

Geez I don't get it, surely our Harness judiciary must have had proof of her alleged wrong doin why they penalised her in the first instance, or as in the Inca case were they blowin hot air; either way this aint the best look for our sport.....an appeal in the High Court she must be fairly confident or why outlay all that cash to re-fight this?

    Cheers Iraklis

Well Inca cases dropped I here - 3 high profile drivers/trainers - do I get reinstated to full membership on this site and receive numerous apologises from those who had everyone lined up and shot as I continued to educate you about facts and justice.

Now all at RIU must be fired and we start again. Incompetent bunch with personal non informed crusade - totally unprofessional .

Surely the problem here is the 600k gone west not Martin VB

The trouble here is the inside leak to a very bitter journalist - plus KDT the $600k has not gone west - they know the account recipient.

Maybe a govt staff member cannot read or is part of the bank accounts owner team and nothing to do with racing - as they say inside job by govt dept employee .

The racing mud raking by MYB continues with no facts or selective facts - how about asking - was the collector of $600 k involved in racing at a high level or opportunist ?

  18. 45 minutes ago, JJ Flash said:

I'm wondering how this so called informal meeting between named parties got to these journalists. Whose spilling the beans and for what purpose?.

I think you will find it is an insider jealous person(s) with association or part of the gypsy training group who have not worked out there are better drivers and trainers than themselves .

There is a trainer will a hot line to the RIU & MVB who is on a personal crusade to put everyone down who are high performers in the sport.

    Jealous witch hunt.
