Owners cannot get near their horse they pay dearly for , cannot speak to driver or trainer after win and cannot get a decent photo as the owners are in a cage above the horse - the animal that is the most important part of the whole sport and paid for by the owner . A joke the whole ugly structure. The birdcage photos are terrible - check them in Race Images . Why can we not be like USA , Australia even Ireland ?

So in USA - the home of health & safety and where they sue everyone for a scratch - they allow every owner , hanger on, sponsor and whoever have a photo with their pride and joy . Not at Addington though - have to get in the cage to have a photo to hang on the wall . Trouble is photos are now terrible so not worth getting .

Maybe since you like having a crack and I like putting the bait in the water what do you think of this rule change ( then no one has reason to question the motivation of using the treatment) - I will post below

I have read the company records and Allstars owners own 25% each so half of Equine Blood Solutions in NZ - so not hidden . The last paste of rhe EBS - WA states very clearly other NZ trainers are using the treatment but your site wiped the posting so now you saying I didn’t know that . Censorship allows misinformation to be multiplied and incorrect acquations made - all I am saying your site and every outlet - even HRNZ - should discuss the availability of this treatment and it’s success then every horse has the chance of starting on a level fottings.

I did not write the advertisement- review - so to remove a third party saying Allstars use a particular treatment and praising them and the treatment is censorship and so far removed from NZ culture . Very strange . Shouldn’t such treatment be out in the open and discussed so all trainers can use it then everyone and every horse starts on an even footing . I never said it was illegal . Hiding things like this creates suspicion.

Is that appropriate to discuss such things in public within airshot of anybody whether by phone or person to person . Totally unprofessional and the kangaroo judge and jury powers they have been given is ridiculous. Look at Burrows case - withheld irregularity in test advise so they could charge them twice and so get fined double .

RIU failed again - they need to think past automatically guilty with some of these cases and do their job . From day 1 they were told the Dunn’s were nobbled, were heard gloated at a Rangiora meeting between themselves which was overhead by third parties that Dunn had some positives but Dunn still hadn’t been informed ( they first found out by bush telegraph) , then stuff around so much so the evidence gets erased,, pushy footed around about interviewing witnesses and in some cases protecting the nobbler but saying an associate didn’t need to be interviewed etc . Surely for justice to be seen to be done these hard and fast rules on that a defendant cannot call some evidence / witnesses at a hearing must be opened up - why cannot the defendant call witnesses , who must attend , so they can be verbally examined in court under oath - JCA does not provide for justise to be heard and given. To top it off the JCA ignores the RIU recommendation and fines them as if criminals . RIU gets a D for this ! Also , if you think past this case the nobbling inference has been implied in 3 other cases - shouldn’t the RIU be proactive and link them and charge the perpetrators! There is a case still alive that needs justice .

Why all the negative comments ? Whether it August , January or 12 months plus a bit it is great news ! It makes Addington look like a joke - very average stakes across all grades except the Cup ,Dominion, Free for All , Derby & Oak’s which are part funded by owners through nominations fees . Then the likes of the SS and Sales races are 100% paid for by owners ! The rest of the stakes at Addington are so embarrassingly low and silence from the Board & Management about addressing the rot is deafening ! So well done ATC and you will take ownership as the capital of harness racing in NZ very quickly !

Yes he did but that isn’t the thread / discussion. It is should of Lazarus started in the MM. In my opinion what was known about his health and work leading up to the the race every owner and trainer of any ability would of started him if he was in their barn .

Who would not start their horse in a $750 k race when sound , blood perfect and worked well through the week ? Very idealistic and unrealistic opinion been given here - every trainer and every owner in NZ would of started him.

There should not be a guarantee of $1.00 div - if a horse is paying $0.50 so be it - if the punter is mad enough to gamble on a horse paying less than a $1 well so be it . The successful punter should not loose a true price by subsidising another runners divvy .

Why does HRNZ produce full page press statements on negative matters such as this unfortunate case . The article states HRNZ as its source . The Throughbred body is very “closed door “ with such matters and may release a small “run on “ type statement . A press release about Lazarus and the miracle mile would be far more positive. Let the journalists do their job and dig for sensationalism and gutter articles while HRNZ should produce positive articles .
