I highly doubt they are doing this to annoy you on purpose mike28. $1000 to them is like 10c to you, it will just be an administration error that if you just ask to speak to the supervisor on Monday will get it sorted. Be cheeky and ask if they can give you a free bet bonus for the hassle involved, almost certainly they will give you $50 or $100.
It is very rare to have any hassles with these organisatons and normally they are resolved very amicably. Perhaps change your approach and see if you get a different result.

There is of course a few months to go and the Queensland Carnival to come, but as at today, I would have the filly Bonneval ahead of Gingernuts.

Be remiss not to give these two a nod today, what a year, and every year for that matter, always with different horses.

This is an insulting title for this post. If you have an opinion on the ride claim it yourself. Nowhere has Matt Cameron stated an opinion on Opie's ride and I think he would be too professional to do so. The title of this post puts Matt C in a bad light under which he does not belong.

There is no way he was ready for a Cox Plate 3 years ago and like most he has wisely sidestepped Winx the last 2 years , ain't no shame in that.

Of course it's the owners/trainers choice, only comment I made was that it's hard to work out that Leith was overlooked when he has won 5 G1's on the horse! I think that's getting on pretty good!, but quite rightly is their choice!

This is called a "Keep them quiet" measure. It's not enough in the way of genuine reform. Firstly, there has to be an immediate target to reduce the Administrative cost to Racing.  The $10k Min Stake is mystifying. Where is the money coming from and if it's available, why is it coming now (the Karaka meeting?) and not sooner when the Industry is bleeding. Is this "Keep Quiet" money? Because if it is, it shows just how out of touch they are with the underlying problems the Industry is faced with. It's not going to solve the problem.

The Breeders might actually realise now the domestic product is drinking rapidly, get behind the cause guys, K2 sale will tell you that.
Parliament holds the key, change the legislation, apparently that will struggle to be tabled this year!

How is that Davis's problem if a bloke who may not know alot about the game has a bet?? I dont know alot about the stockmarkets so i stay away from them. Don't know anything about the Pokie machines so i stay away from them. Understand throughbreds so i have a punt. Surely that isnt Steve Davis's problem if he likes something that gets beat and someone listening in a tab be it Remuera, Petone or Mangere or Eltham for that matter punts it beyond their financial means?? if thats the case then shut the whole country down because there are alot more people out there spending money on takeaways, cigarettes, alcohol, pokie machines etc etc which are beyond their means than there are people listening to steve davis's tips on trackside

You are a half wit.  His job as presenter is to get people interested and punting.  His job as an Auctioneer is to get people interested and bidding.  He is bloody good at both in my opinion.  Your average stockbroker's job is to get people buying shares and there are too many examples to list of Companies that the brokers were flogging for all they were worth that went belly up (Feltex and Pike River being two that spring to mind)

Seems you have a personal grudge against him... he is a colorful guy... has a sense of humor and is without doubt an outstanding auctioneer... I think I can safely say you are clearly in the minority here as to your views on him... but thats fine too.

Think the real lost causes are the ones actually listening to presenters advice around punting..... Like Steve Davis, colourful character. seems the few that dont like him have a rather censored sense of humor
