  1. watched all three races and dont look dodgy, drivers not looking round for punt horse,,or attacking other favourites.must be more word of mouth, derby was run so fast that only the best horse won
  2. gore original constitution stated land and assets have to be returned to local council but messara report sez new laws to enable to legal confiscation of clubs will be passed in parliament
  3. interesting watching trackside and noticing that in the north island most horses are been paraded lead by stablehands of asian descent ,very much like the dairy industry which complains no nzer want s work but pay minuimin rates
  4. you would only have one hours work a day
  5. if alexandra park were to close and you would think land values just about make that a cert, cambridge would become the home of trotting in the north, all it needs is covered stables and perhaps a temp stand added onto main one,its already got the atmosphere.re ashburton its very hard to create atmosphere with a grass track, perhaps again temp stand on the galloping track but you can,t do much about looking into the low winter sun haze
  6. the exccecutive spent the day at invercargill trots, ken spicer was presented with the invercargill cup which his horse won in february but he wasnt on course for, otherwise threy were unseen spending their time in the free food and water entertainment section (practising for jewels day)
  7. HRNZ has a special fund which takes a % from stakes total payout of 30 million so in effect the stake on ordinary races is reduced to susidise group racing.so to have 1.3million in stakes actual turnover on the day would be $450,000 sponsorship don,t know so special fund would need to be close to $800,000 or 2to 3% of total stakes for the year
  8. apologies if rishi was swabbed second day and negative result,no mention of this in jca page
  9. rishi won second day but wasnt swabbed
  10. yep alot of work needed at invercargill.horses were treating it like a ,hurdle...basic stuff,at the beginning of season riu said all crossing,s would be inspected a week prior.a good test would be for stipes car to go over at a 100kph.always puzzles me why drivers at the back rise higher
  11. is new plymouth designed by a architect, running rails and more running rails ,higher than the horses in back straight, funny enough trotters were using pylons
  12. look at time for 2400 metres in support race 2:48
  13. https://www.hrnz.co.nz/images/OFFICIAL_NOTICE_-_DRIVING_FEES__TRAINERS_FEES_-_WINNING_PERCENTAGE.pdf
  14. Years ago many clubs were losing money hand over fist, the worst been major venues, these clubs knowing they we,re broke got the RIB to bring in and subsidise "STRATEGIC VENUES",these were racecourses not to be loss to nz mainly because of been in a populated area,it is these clubs which have had millions of dollars poured in to them by sucking other clubs and it is these clubs which now have grandstands closed of to public and rapid deteration of facilities.if the rib had not intefered "healthy wealthy clubs would have survived with small but luxurious facilties, unhealthy clubs would have been sold up with the result been half the clubs and racecourses.parasites drag down their hosts
  15. trotters rule is 150 metres at start, driver said their trotter galloped 149 m at invercargill, stipes couldnt disprove it,horse retained its placing
  16. reading the rules my interpatation is anyone can lay a protest(includes punter) but only the stipes can file a charge, also anyone can seek a ruling so from that an owner can seek stake compensation by asking for a ruling
  17. Could be but pretty sure its owners call, not the riu stipes then jca rule on
  18. under the new rules designed to have few inquirys the horse interfering would hold the posistion it finished in but stake would be paid to interfered horse and interfered horse declared late scr but the last two rules haven,t been implemented unless interfered horses owners protest, one such case ocurred in southland last season.i could be wrong but there might have been a lawyer in ownership
  19. trainer and all horses in stable have to be stood down upon positive test pending ..enquiry will be done an dusted within two weeks, expect announcement on this case after jewels
  20. case should have been dealt with ages ago ,if defendants know outside evidence should have approached riu..hearing is the place to bring up,prosecution has to prove horses had illegal substance, defendants must prove otherwise if they are innocent..letting kirk larsen take the rapt in forbury charges makes one wonder morally wise ..the old saying there is right and there is wrong..no grey areas
  21. in australia you might have noticed the amazing clerk of course,s horse assisting horse in mobile start.probably not legal but until someone challenges by protesting will continue, just as if star galleria had been beaten by heavens rock ,connections could have challenged assistance at start, however what go,s round comes round and you might have horse needing similar needs in future,in the end it turned into a great contest, just like m purdon highlighted the difference between pushing out and not,bet he wishes pushing out with picadilly princess
  22. HRNZ produce guidelines i.e not rules and are published on their website under information tag,its legal to use a lead rope but as all starters assistants must clear the track heaven rocks probably shouldn,t have had a rope or starters assistant, puts alot of pressure on starter and assistant .then again unruly horse are much easier to lead around by rope and nothing worse than having starter assistant grab reins instead collar strap..after starter blows whistle at 30 seconds starters assistant must vacant the track and can only assist at starters request, this is probably why so many horse are only given one chance before been sent u/r,interesting that once a starter says "right" it cannot be a false start unless there is danger to particapants
  23. you can have an assistant lead you round but rope cannot have snaphook(for easy removal) on ,rope must be removed when starters blows his whistle indicating 30 seconds to start
  24. RIU must be on hourly rate, ridiculous time taken to investigate this case,no one talking,no public comments
  25. last years accounts could have been signed of by last racing minister whatshis name??
