  1. Set Square very interesting, as Reset himself also out of a Zeditive mare.
  2. I think Hugh Bowman said he doesn't have a turn of foot , but just has the ability to sustain a long run in. Most of the marketing hype about stallions is related to them having a turn of foot, perhaps this is why he hasn't been secured in NZ?
  3. You're absolutely right Barryb it is a rort , in the same vein as your mare returns, they act like a sneaky tax or fine. There is no justification for that type of cost at all. The entire administration needs an overhaul, its a bloated , antiquated system that has no place in todays competitive world.
  4. and a half bro to local stallion Shamoline Warrior.
  5. bang on , great win , backed him too!
  6. Probably what they want to happen Leggy, there are a number of race dates held by some of the smaller clubs that they would love to maneuver elsewhere.
  7. That's an awful thing to say and I'd be disgusted if I was from Wairoa to hear that from an NZTR employee! Of course there is an agenda at play just take a look at the funding policy it's designed to suck the life out of the lifeblood of the industry.
  8. He always works well with Redoubtes mares , so someone may have got a bargain in the Select sale this year, well if you consider $120k a bargain.
  9. Yep that type of thinking is very irritating , there is no foresight or operational focus on any of the decisions being made.
  10. 2yo race will be fascinating, so many chances - looking forward to it.
  11. Usually on near 1pm , but there has to be a huge chance either these questions will not be asked or the interviewee will not answer or not appear this week.
  12. Late start of horse at Otaki today in R4 , surely this is the straw the broke the camels back and people can see just what a dire state racing is in, in this country. I am beyond words in describing the farce that went on there today. What precedent has this set? Are these the same people we are asking to sort out the Cobalt case?
  13. How about have a voting button in the Trainers service centre for races that may be required at Industry days that could be a start, the data is all there it only has to be used effectively.
  14. Not only that , look at the races programmed - absolutely no forethought !
  15. But what if he has been sharing the Dairy Cows trough this week?
  16. and while they are at , start bringing about some reporting changes -like reporting the levels of cobalt in every horse tested. Why on earth can't this be done?
  17. They wanted to save some megabytes maybe???
  18. For goodness sakes why don't they re-invigorate Industry days and make them all Free starts and Free rides, it would help. 4 meetings in the CD in 9 days, 2 meetings 40km apart a day a part from one another, I haven't even mentioned the programming which is just diabolical. It really isn't that hard to fix, make the calendar a lot more fluid that what it is stop consulting a few trainers and believing you have the industry point of view. Some better find another Saturday hobby , cause just wait until winter racing comes around.
  19. I find the wrap music not too bad I don't let them beats get me mad Keep it on trackside don't give it the whack Could do with a little more 2-Pac!
  20. Not sure, but that one of Howie Mathews looks a fair horse,
  21. It's usually Bergerson and Bary isn't it?
  22. You could be right, but he sounds a lot more authentic and realistic than the last couple of guys. He doesn't appear to be throwing about false promises , infeasible forecasts and mountains of corporate BS Spiel.
  23. The return of free racing would be a start , I could wait for an Appearance Fee in my next life.
