If the problem is the way racing is set up in nz, then that needs to be changed. Noone is happy , we are the service providers, if the powers that be arn't prepared to adress this, then we have to make them. The link is a slightly dramatic example of people power, but still an example all the same. there are many many intellegent men and women in this industry that would do a fine job of leading us, I want the opportunity to see some of these people in those roles.

Is there anybody in this industry happy with our leadership? It seems to me there is very little confidence in the people employed to have our best interests at heart. Seriously something has to change before we no longer have an industry! Its us that are working our arses off to provide them jobs! There is strength in numbers people, I have never spoken to anyone that is happy with their performance, which means there are a hell of a lot who arn't. I know a lot of couragous individuals speak up often, maybe we need to start sticking together and speaking up together for the greater good.

I agree, I usually like what Paul Shailer has to say but can not agree with spurs. If beating a horse to the line with a whip isn't going to make it win then i cant see how spurs are going to make much difference. As for his point about using them to stear the horse, you are grasping at straws there mate! I would be requesting the jockey remove them before mounting any of my horses.

I am so over the whole situation with the channels! I wish there was an alternative to veiwing the racing coverage I would defiantly change. In NZ why the hell can we not just watch kiwi racing on 1 channel! Sorry not quite on topic, im new, there's probably a thread for that somewhere on here.
