Eagle Eye reacted to Rules For Some in Amazing Chase
Rules were broken, everyone's in agreement apart from the JCA, connections and the imbecile who gave the connections bad advice to begin with. An absolute disaster. Good to see karma strikes as the dog should not have been in their to begin with. The decision made here goes against the whole reason that rule was made (which all the people who made the rule seem to agree). Questions need to be asked. this was a failure of the JCA system.
Re paddy, isnt he a tough dog. He just keeps on giving every week.

Eagle Eye reacted to Jape in Amazing Chase
It was a superb performance from Bigtime Paddy. Congratulations to all involved.
Nature's Gent was an excellent runner-up and it was good to see Cawbourne Krusty showing up so well.
Pinny Mack was unlucky.
Avenger Bale was a very worthy winner of the Consolation and was at surprisingly good odds. It is a given that the first reserve in a Final is a must-bet if lined up on the same card as the Final. No. they do not always win but they must be given due consideration and the returns are often very good.

Yes Paddy is a very good dog he’s raced every week and twice a week more often than not which is a big ask and he keeps winning this should clinch Greyhound of the year

Sorry but after reading this post, it Sounds like a bunch of bitter twisted people not happy because your dogs are not fast enough to nominate to make the final and this has nothing to do with me having one befor the flack starts, how about getting behind grnz instead of continuously knocking, this series is awesome cheers WB

Eagle Eye got a reaction from GOM in Winston Peters selling out Greyhounds and Harness

Eagle Eye reacted to GOM in Schofield
Em, If David had of consented to the test (which he legally had the right to refuse) and it had proved to be clear it would have not helped his case one iota as the contaminated sample was months before. I could think of a number of reasons why someone would refuse a test. For example if they had been smoking cannabis which is almost considered a misdemeanor now the person may think that would indicate they were at least a drug user where in fact any other drug would in law have been irrelevent. I think David's partner questioned this point as she was legally entitled to and it was used against both her and David and subsequently Dennis.
The absent trainer thing is a ruse. The arrangement had existed for years with no one worrying about it. You qoute the person that had to return to NZ once a month, well Dennis and Pam were at the property twice at least most weeks. Dennis also trained the dogs in as much as he set out the program for each dog and because he was always present when they raced he was in the best position to alter or adjust that training. How many other trainers do this planning with workers actually carrying out the work. Also hands up anyone who has been aware of non present training arrangements in NZ either in ther past or right now. I can name several and I'll bet there are others I have never heard of.
I will repeat that when the penalty was handed down to Dennis the ramificatrions that have resulted would never have been imagined and the people that assigned the ppenalty would not have wished the hardship that has ensured.
There are a whole of assumed powers that have been used that I am not sure were even legal. This is the part of this incident that worries me, what level of infringement now ensures you will be hunted down?
Dennis pleaded guilty straight away and expected a penalty butI'll bet he never envisaged it would be him having to get rid of all his dogs, have his family vilified and son expelled from the family home with a few hours notice

Eagle Eye reacted to gary1 in Schofield
gee whiz gom i think he should have got another 2 years for being so stupid as to let his son a known drug cheat and unlicenced look after the dogs a disaster waiting to happen and if certain people you david was doing this then they should have reported it he might not have got the 2 years.. is there truth in the report dennis was even living on the property if thats the case why are people whingeing he got kicked out he wasnt even living there
In the summary of facts from the JCA decision, it was revealed Denis Schofield lived 100 kilometres away from his training establishment in the Waikato region.
David Schofield, his partner and her son live at the training establishment, while Denis lives in Auckland.
David Schofield was said to manage the training establishmen

Eagle Eye reacted to Betting man in Silver Collar meeting abandoned
Fantastic race! I backed the winner so may be slightly biased
Having said that I have since watched the replay a few times and am very relieved TTE stepped out in front of Dusty on the home turn as he was swooping passed at a great rate, looked like he was about to put 6/8L on them but instead lost 5-6 - momentum withstanding!!
Cyborg was shuffled back a few lengths early in the race so was also hindered which could have resulted in a different result.
I couldn’t find too many excuses for the beaten runners behind them so I think that even though the first 3 placings could have finished in a different order they were the best 3 there so deserved the spoils!
My pocket is very pleased it was RTB’s day

Eagle Eye reacted to jimbob in Silver Collar meeting abandoned
Great race , and congratulations to R Adcock for getting this dog back to its Best.
The draw was the key to the result in the end, but taking nothing away from the winner, grinds out the distance.
That Pirate dog is not going to win much, if anything racing like that

What a fantastic race!!
Congratulations to the connections of all the runners who competed in the Silver Collar especially Ring The Bell.

Eagle Eye reacted to Track Record in Silver Collar meeting abandoned
I’m of the opinion that a firm track for the final will see the on pace runners fighting out the finish.
1. Ring The Bell
2. Dusty Gambler
3. Trip To Eden

Dogs in Pams name, I believe. Just leave the Schofields alone, they have enough to deal with.

Eagle Eye got a reaction from gary1 in Silver collar heats
Agree should have 3 heats all get a go as there is hardly a stayer here, the distance race should be 720 the race would get more noms for sure get some speed into the race

Eagle Eye reacted to Lowdown in Silver collar heats
I remember the same feeling of disappointment last year, surprised at the inability again to get 3+ heats for this great race. And it seems a shame that every dog nommed cant have a crack I.e. Wee Meredith for GOM...coasted to the line last start, once in a lifetime chance at this race for some dogs/trainers and no go you're number 10.
Shame.

Hifi allegro would also have to be right up there she was the only sprinter to win all three of the top sprint races in one season and hold the recently passed record for most winners.

Eagle Eye reacted to legs&lashes in Exciting win by Cawbourne Krusty, NZ St Ledger
Yes Kev what a champion she was! Its great to remember and appreciate the great champions we have had the pleasure to watch over the years.
Gatlin Bale ,while probably not champion status was one of my all time favs.He went 11 months undefeated over 600 and beyond and his first defeat came in the Silver Collar heats when he was severly checked several times in the running and just missed qualifying. He was a great dog to watch and had amazing track sense .
Who else has got an all time fav?
AC

Eagle Eye reacted to Jape in Exciting win by Cawbourne Krusty, NZ St Ledger
Miss Koonawarra! Now that name really does stir up some nice memories. Thanks for the mention, Pilli.
I knew I had seen something right out of the ordinary and I took a punt, metaphorically speaking, when it came to pushing hard for her inclusion,
And what a Top Gun she was.

Congrats Wazza..Your Girl certainly fashioning a marvellous record in her brief career to date.
Thought My Girl looked even more outstanding early in her career.
Made Race debut at Hattrick in April 2008 Season, and ran half length 2nd (to Jetline)..winner ran 29.92.
Within 2 months,next 8 starts x 8 wins.
Winning margins..17L..9.75L..12L..8L..7L..7.5L..9L..6.5L = average 9.5L
8th Win came in $40,000 Top Gun Invitational at Addington (thanks also to Jape for helping to select her into field as a C1 graduate).
Ran 29.78,breaking rival Winsome Ashley's Track Record,a time standard yet to be beaten ten years later. ( though last night AC's runner Dyna Dave got close, matching Winsome Ashley's previous Record at 29.83)
Hope Cawbourne Krusty goes foward to have a much longer racing career than Miss Koonawarra did.
Cheers,Pilli.
