  1. Will clubs now have to post truck reports as well as track reports?!
  2. Lack of funding by NZTR is the common denominator in all these fiascos. They must be putting funds aside for their next big overseas soiree- the 40th Asian Conference in Sapporo Japan from August 27 to September 1 this year. The TAB should open a book on how many freeloaders are going. Their presentations should be filed in the Fantasy section of NZ libraries.
  3. I will watch Mick's show if he interviews Barry Lichter. The odds would be 1000 to 1 and drifting. Would like him to instruct Barry on the best technique for shouldering someone!
  4. Trentham R4- 2,4 Trentham R7- 1,2 Ruakaka R5- 3,8 Ruakaka R6- 2,3 Ruakaka R7- 5,8 Caulfield R5- 3,10 Caulfield R6- 11,15 Caulfield R7- 1,10 Caulfield R8- 3,5 BB Randwick R7- 3,8 Randwick R8- 5,7 BB Randwick R9- 9,17 Good luck all. Thanks organisers.
  5. Friend Family if you backed Mick's tips you would be drinking water and eating broken biscuits.
  6. Mick certainly has form- totally unwarranted attacks on Brian O'Meara when Christian Cullen was totally dominant followed by similar attacks on Warren Stapleton. Throw in his credit bet at the Parnell TAB. Good luck to him but I would rather watch a blank screen than tune into his show.
  7. As far as investigative trotting journalism is concerned Barry Lichter would beat Mick by the length of the Alexandra Park straight.
  8. Friend Family stating that Mick will ask the hard industry questions is a gross abuse of the English language. He should become an MP with his unmatched ability to ask patsy questions.
  9. Swoopa Melody Maid was a 1956 ch f by Oman out of Broiefort Melody bred by Mrs J Meier. She won 3 races from 57 starts. At 3 she was owned by RM Langdon and trained by BB Beattie at Te Awamutu. She won her only 3 races from 14 starts- first win at her 4th start- Tauranga 7f 26/3/60, Tauranga 1m 25/6/60, Te Awamutu 1m 30/7/60. Graham McLiesh the jockey each time. At 4 she had 12 starts for 1 3rd and 1 4th. At 5 she was trained by RD Samson of Te Awamutu and had 16 starts for 1 3rd and 2 4ths. At 6 she had 6 unplaced starts owner-trained by CI Hobson. At 7 she had 4 starts for 1 3rd. At 8 she had 5 unplaced starts.
  10. A great result. Chris and Garry raced Wooden Edge together. He won 7 races. Fairshare ran third for the omen bettors.
  11. We're Doomed if there is a late scratching inside him he may start from 8.
  12. Ted the quirky thing about Waihi Warrior today is that he is in R8 is No. 8 and has drawn 8!
  13. We're Doomed Ballybrit was the 2yo Champion in the 1975-6 season and Silver Lad was the Champion 3yo in the 1976-7 season. Vice Regal didn't win a Lion Brown Sprint.
