  1. After a 5 hour round trip to attend the Hastings races yesterday, all I can say is what a fkn joke! What an absolute embarrassment NZ racing has become. As a very infrequent racegoer, I won't be back again and those I attended with feel the same. Good luck attracting new blood to the sport when those in charge clearly have their heads in the sand and have no clue of how to provide an entertaining experience for the general public.
  2. Who said they'd win the comp? I stated they'd have a good season and they're still on track for a top 8 finish and there's no reason they won't be playing finals footy even without SJ. I think they'll surprise a few who've written them of sans Johnson. They'll be a better side in 2016 though, with Luke and RTS, in fact they'd have close to the best spine in the NRL next year. Broncos? They're going well but won't win the GF. I have no time for a team like them who've rorted the cap for years. The Storm, Eels and now Cowboys have been caught playing dodgy buggers with their payments of late. The Broncos were almost caught them when Andrew Gee was playing criminal mastermind. Where there's smoke ...
  3. Lol, the Dogs supporter still trying to give it to the Warriors. That mob of yours continue to underwhelm. Beaten at home by a plucky but average Sharks mob. Those dregs of society in the crowd where not impressed. How they can continue to play a thick-as-two-planks drongo like Reynolds is laughable. And even funnier, the Dogs only have the same number of points as the Warriors . Some side they are ...
  4. Settle down champ, Lolohea is a gun and can step up to the plate. A lot now rests on Tomkins - he'll need to play a bit of standoff during games. Once Manu, Hoffman and Konrad come back, the Warriors will have more attacking power which has been lacking in the last 2 weeks. The pressure is now right off the Warriors which will suit. The obese couch potatoes and fans of dirty Aussie clubs will put the boot in again - don't go joining them!
  5. This Warriors side is Flippin' Fantastic!! Up to 4th! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEorIWAGos0&feature=youtu.be
  6. Why come on to a Football post and have a whinge about Union? That seems to be the MO of many a football fan - instead of backing football, they take a swipe at another sport. Shoulder chip?
  7. Why will they turn it around? A powderpuff pack let by an old man at prop that clubs can't wait to sack. Players jumping the rat-infested ship (Stewart, Watmough, Foran), while the players staying are past it (Stewart, Lyon, Matai). The one young talented player Manly is keeping (DCE) cares less about team and more about the $$$ and his image. Hardly the player to build a team around considering the rest of the side hate him. And that's just the players! The coach is hated by the players and the Board, the club has no money and Brookvale is the most run-down, crappy ground in all of the NRL. Turn it around you reckon? Good luck with that. You hold on to past success like an English football fan does, because your teams future is bleak.
  8. Not sure a Doggies fan should be giving the Warriors grief after the garbage they've put up this season. Today's game a classic example. And mentality? Corey Thompson's performance sums it up for the Doggies surely.
  9. Yes, the Warriors are playing average (play well, then play dumb) yet they're still in the 8! Only 2 points down on teams like the Rabbits and Roosters. The same points as the Dogs at present. And look where the perennial finals team the Sea Eagles are sitting (stone, cold motherless last with a wooden spoon coming up for the dying club). I don't hear these teams getting bagged too much at all. It's just the old Kiwi knocking machine at it's finest when it comes to the Warriors.
  10. And the Broncos? Playing well, yes that's to be expected when they've been rorting the cap for so many years! So many SOO players in one side, yet they haven't won anything for a decade. Either it's poor coaching or they're rorting the cap wrong. Need to look at how the Storm did it for it to be a success. And don't expect a title this year. They'll be found out when it really matters.
  11. Some rather amateur comments from one loss. It goes a bit quiet on here when the Warriors string a few wins together, one loss and the sadsacks and whingers come out of their cold, damp caves. The Warriors are currently a top 8 side and deservedly so. But they are not a top 4 or 5 side and that showed last night. But,they're not miles off either. To be one they'll need to do what the better sides do after a loss. Just look at the Storm - reamed up the behind by the Roosters and bounced back v the Panthers. That's what the Warriors will need to do next week. We'll see what they're made of on Saturday night.
  12. Has to rate as a big mistake to hold the tournament in NZ in winter. The miserable weather will limit the attractiveness of the football played plus paying to watch a bunch of no-names (for most Kiwis anyway) and you can see why there will be a large dose of apathy from the NZ public.
  13. SOO is a concept on the way down. No longer are Australia the league superpower they once were, and therefore the quality of players is lesser compared to yesteryear. Many of the world's finest players can't play yet Origin is the pinnacle? Puh-lease. Add to that the ruthless aggression that's been stomped out of the series and it just looks like any other league game. The NRL finals have more intensity and more meaning than the redundant state v state concept .
  14. Tyrone Peachey must have naked pics of the judiciary to only get a grade 2 charge for that deplorable spear tackle after the whistle had blown. The worst tackle/dog act of 2015. Poor old Junior Paulo got 9 weeks for a dangerous tackle and this guy gets a slap on the hand. The lack of consistency is a joke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5liIcl9ffQ
  15. Sharkies fans would have been thanking their lucky stars that the refs kept them in the game as long as they could. A poor game for 70 mins before we saw 3 of the tries of the year so far. Quite amazing that the Warriors are in the 8 after their below par start to the season. They've got a lot of upside while there are a few teams on a downward slide.
