How on earth are they going to service that debt with interest rates increasing? They can't sell Pukekohe so where are they going to generate income from?

It seems the famous Hill at Ellerslie is to be sold. Funny that there was no mention of this in the ARC's April newsletter. The word in the top part of town, where ARC directors can be found, is that the decision has already been made. Two reasons  have surfaced, firstly the Club is simply greedy and bugger the history of the Hill, and secondly the Board is getting more and more woke and increasingly concerned about jump racing not  being as P C as it was.

Don't forget that if there's a positive the official trainer goes, not his consultants or advisers !

Regardless what any paid employee or consultant may have done, or not done, ultimately the Board is solely responsible.

There's also an ex trackside presenter, who loves Harness Racing, working for TV One sports news.

In 2015 the Board famously said that they were not interested in a joint-venture property development as they would make more by developing the project themselves. Unfortunately they didn't have the expertise too do so. May be heading towards a cash loss of $50 million plus the land value. Lets wait and see.

If there’s no vet on the show I wonder if it was possible to find one who was truely objective. They all take the same view as their collective masters, HRNZ.
