  1. Yep some exciting fields, seeing how Lucia Valentina form is for real will be interesting.
  2. or you could try buying a copy
  3. On the TAB site it says that Bettorock is out of Astounded by Traditionally , on the NZB site it says the filly is out of Astounded by Encosta De Lago , how do the TAB get their info?

    Ruakaka

I'm with Puha its a snorefest apart from a few good horses going up there this time. How may times do they race there a year?
  6. Given the make up of the panel - it won't have an edge.
  7. An update from NZTR on the Syndicates: SOCIAL RACING SYNDICATES UPDATE Aotearower has come through her solid debut effort for 4th at Taupo in good order. She was not happy in the wet track conditions but still fought very well to the finish. Trainer Ken Kelso will look for a suitable race in the next couple of weeks on firmer ground and she will step up in distance to either 1200m or 1400m. The target for her is to be competing in the 3yo filly races at Ellerslie over Xmas such as the Eight Carat and Royal Stakes. Sisterhood ran an excellent 2nd placing in her 800m trial at Te Teko on 20 August. As with her first trial, she was lost for early speed but powered home late. This is likely to be her pattern of racing and she will excel once she steps up to longer distances. Team Hawtin will look for a suitable race for her over the next couple of weeks in which to make her race day debut. Link to trial here (heat 10): http://www.nzracing.co.nz/RaceInfo/43536/Meeting-Overview.aspx Social Kay is still enjoying a little break as she goes through a growth spurt. She has won both her jump outs so is showing plenty of promise. It won't be long before she is back in the Stephen Marsh stables.
  8. Is there any information out on the success of the Social Racing experiment? Have the syndicates lead to greater ownership involvement or interest in racing in general?
  9. First Season Sire 1. Showcasing 2. Per Incanto Second season sire 1. Roc De Cambes 2. Swiss Ace
  10. Seems to be going very well at the moment with Share the Blame winning the Whyte Handicap and another two winners yesterday making it 7 winners for the month so far. Looks a Stallion to follow as they mature.
  11. Maybe those meetings will struggle given the latest announcement on prizemoney : http://www.nzracing.co.nz/News/13560/NZTR-INCREASES-PRIZEMONEY-AT-ALL-MIDWEEK-MEETINGS-FROM-18-JULY-2014-TO-31-JULY-2014.aspx
  12. I think it's called the racing calendar puha.
  13. Not taking an interest in your horse but given it relates to the topic enough said, you're saying there are no available races when clearly there is. what's your agenda then? So what you mean to say is there are no Open Handicaps at the tracks you deem suitable , you don't like claiming and you're an expert at placing your horse so you wouldn't bother with a R85? Are the Parliamentary noms indicative of the noms youd get in the CD for an Open Handicap staying race? I see how hard it is for those running this industry when youve got owners moaning even though they have won a G3 and an Open Handicap this season. They just can't win can they ?
  14. Have you heard of a claimer Joseph? Puha used one to great affect in the Kiwifruit Cup. If youve got a good horse sometimes youve got to travel. Its likely in a R85 the idea would be to shed points anyway. I believe Parliamentary noms are still open this weekend, or is that too far to go and is being top weight not ideal? I see the horse has traveled as far away as Ellerslie and Riccarton before so if there is a race at Ruakaka whats the problem?
  15. Youre looking for races & there they are are you meaning you want Open Hdcp staying races on your home track worth $50k with you on the minimum ? You should have said.
