  8. Interesting tactics from the rider on the favourite at the 900m mark. How often does he drift back and go wide of all other runners? Wonder if he had some idea what the track was like?
  9. I suspect, like most things these days, the Spotify sagas that we are being told are happening are not as they seem. It just seems strange that Phil Collins and Bruce Springsteen sell their lifetime of work for mega millions, and next thing we have artists like Neil Young and Jodi Mitchell trying to get off Spotify. Are you allowed to suppose they may want to offer exclusive deals on their music and have one last "cash in"? Just wondering. The way the media is these days you don't read the news to feel informed, you read it and wonder why am I being allowed to see this.
  10. This looks like a collection of corporate speak, academic cliches & babble with that pidgin English on the front page being the early giveaway. Some one has written this simply to impress someone else higher up the ladder, to suggest that positive action is underway, to either secure funding going forward, or to fulfill some aspirational goal written on a Wellington whiteboard. The document gives the required nod to the maori community, but not included much yet on the LGBT outfit. Going to be interesting to see if they can mandate the trainers, median age is stated to be 57 yrs (really?), to bow to having at least 1 transsexual track rider. These should be compulsory where the trackwork requires riders to be able to go both ways? Like all else this govt touches at the moment, it is simply a foul wind passing through & will lead nowhere - don't panic.
  11. Sorry, could not work out how to remove the meme duplication in the post above.
  12. Do we think because many are enjoying what this covid experience has brought to their previously mundane lives - "Karens" it is prolonging/delaying any concern about an exit strategy? They are all proudly chipping in and doing their bit to to save the country? Can anyone figure out how the boosters are going to help against Omicron when they were apparently purchased before Omicron was a "thing"? Nobody is interested in joining any dots. The vaccines aren't doing shit despite our being constantly told they reduce severity of outcome - how can they prove that through any data source - you don't know what you can't know? The vulnerable (old, obese, diabetic, meth users etc) are really suffering, and the rest are catching a virus, recovering, moving on, regardless of vaxxed or not. Vaxxed vs unvaxxed is quite possibly a difference without a distinction. Another point of relevant interest is that they are still very coy on any talk of remedies - it has to be tied in with the Phizer deals and the Emergency Use Approval conditions in the USA. If you thought the previous National government became arrogant, entitled and deserved to be taken down a peg, they had nothing on this bunch. The most dangerous aspect of all this for us "joe nobodys" on the street, is that they (politicians) have found out the potential power in the ability to pass legislation under emergency conditions provisions. Prepare for more "emergencies" in our lives, probably climate emergencies. It is simply raping and pillaging of the taxpayers, using the media as propaganda tools and the police as their physical enforcement mob. Rant over.
  13. “As an organisation we need to do better, work with our team, staff, NZTR and industry on process, infrastructure and investment to remove risk where possible to ensure this won’t happen in the future,” he said = the first cliche any woke administration appointee is taught these days.
  14. All my BB's are at Matamata, but just saw it as a bit tough on many? Like the disregard all BB idea, but not my show. Like disillusioned, always just happy to be playing. Over and out.
  15. Bit tough if all your BB's were at Trentham? Rub of the green?

  17. How about those Greens Party supporters? Think about it. Weren't they once distrustful of greedy corporations, chemicals, genetically modified foods and such? Today, they appear quite relaxed about supporting the insane vaccine mandates and the ideological comittment to legislating for repeated injections of a Big Pharma concoction that modifies human cells to produce their own COVID spike proteins. If we have our eyes open and brains connected, we are learning two things: that freedoms are fragile, and that for medical advice you should not put your faith in politicians and journalists who have an altruistic motive/agenda. These people in control are nuts. The only thing the vaccines are providing immunity to is logical thinking!
  18. Another perspective from a height on this - my paternal grandmother was 100% maori so I guess I would qualify statistically as one of those dumb and ignorant "maori" we hear about every day, but I was brought up as just a Kiwi and knew no real distinction between our family and every other person in NZ, other than recognising that some worked hard or some took risks and therefore progressed or fell behind, in what we considered a free world. Those were the days. We grew up thinking tomorrow would be the same as yesterday, but now and quite suddenly it seems, tomorrow is no longer the same as yesterday in so many ways probably due to the internet, social media and the unfolding exposure and consequent distrust of our "top down" authoritative (we speak- you listen) institutions inner workings. "They" (our leaders worldwide) are losing or have lost their grip over the unwashed masses, but have not lost the arrogance to think they still know better & the young are now looking for change. It's ironic that the change they may reap will be even more dictatorial but that is how history repeats. A little sidetrack - but why do you think we have the Covid FUBAR in the world (F##ked Up Beyond All Recognition) ? IMHO, could it simply be because the global and national health industry is now governed by career building, agenda driven, corrupt bureaucrats, rather than by senior and experienced doctors concerned about patient health as in the past? To be a devils advocate on this He Puapua theme, there is another perspective that I do not agree with but I'm quite are aware of it. The article posted above simply states facts and is a good commentary of what is unfolding, but from the activists perspective they rightly or wrongly do feel they have a claim to what they are pursuing and they have felt that for a long time. They have taken the approach that after many years of being screwed by the British system they would use the Bruce Lee martial arts tactics of using the strengths of the opponent against them. I have family that have been passionate and quite active in this for the past 30 years, and the considered and patient approach they have taken is to educate their young to become lawyers, then worked to place them into positions of decision and power in local and central government, judicial, media & other pivotal roles throughout the country. They now consequently have many influencers & levers of power and they are exercising that muscle to take back what they feel has been lost. Here is my point. Regardless of the rights and wrongs of who rightfully owns NZ, Treaty of Waitangi issues, democracy, fairness, etc, etc this is how the system works. They know their goal, they have a well thought out strategy and they are playing the long game to win using well trained players. The Adams article seems to be discussing whether this tactic has been seen before and about Ardern's future prospects as all this plays out - who cares about one player, there is a bigger game being played out here that is not about her? One question that could probably rightfully be asked is, where is a meaningful opposition force going to come from? Don't be surprised if there is enough "maori" immersion in the National Party camp to suppress any real opposition from there - this is politics after all. We are being outplayed middle NZ and tomorrow will most certainly be unlike yesterday - the hard part for an old fella like me is getting used to it.
  19. Just threw up a screen of her pedigree. Looks just what all the line-breeding textbooks told us to do. If this is what the breeders found to convince them to do that mating, it worked in spades and congratulations to them. You have bred a champion. The legacy of Eight Carat is truly epic if you are a believer.
  20. Thanks for the video. We know why the contracts between vaccine companies and purchasers (governments) have been redacted. It was disclosed some months ago. It has to do with the FDA approval for the vaccines under Emergency Use provisions. They could only extend an emergency approval for Covid19 vaccines under the regulations as they stood, if no treatments were known for the problem. That is why the huge censorship over Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquin, Remdesiver, etc at the time. If a successful treament was exposed, the EUA approval for the vaccines would have to be rescinded as they had not been trialled adequately for full approval. The purchase contract included clauses informing the purchasers that supply was made on the understanding (you may call it blackmail) that they would not promote in any way treatments for covid and also confirming no recourse or liability to the vaccine makers if they did not work or if users had any harmful outcomes. From there political decisions had to be made - do we run with this deal or make do without a vaccine? ? And here we are today - politics is not easy.

  23. That comment is confusing SNM. Are you asking for subs, or telling us you have to substitute the scratching with the favourite?
