Have interests in all three codes of racing, then my business which pays for it all.
In the past I've had far more success with horses than dogs.i'm in the midst of turning that around, making greyhounds my number one priority..i started back in greyhounds after a thirty year absence..my first starter was Sozin's Comet on the 26/11/2013 at Shepparton Victoria he was trained by Peter Dapiran at the time..he won & I was hooked..i also own his brother & sister..his brother Feels Like El has just taken out Mandurah Trackstar dog OTY for 2014 in WA..he's now won 30 races & almost $70k in stakes..he was every bit as fast as Sozin's..actually the sister to both was the quickest of all..her career was cut short by injury..she started twice finishing 2nd & 4th..a real shame she's the one that got away.
All up I now own 19 pups..by years end hopefully we'll have around 13 pups racing..amongst them are some of the best bred pups Victoria produced last year..we just purchased Angel Noir recently for the purpose of putting Sozin's Comet over her when both have finished there racing careers..my wife & I have become avid fans of the NZ greyhound industry & will continue to support our friends the wonderful training family the McInerney's..salt of the earth people!

  1. Hi jimbob not an unreasonable request by any means! This industry needs your fifty bucks & anymore you can spare. I'm sure more people would be encouraged to invest on greyhound racing if given the right tools to study form. In this day & age video assistance in doing form is an essential part of studying race form in general. I say this as both owner & punter of greyhounds. How hard is it to upload a race once it's run? Being unfamiliar with the workings of social media & the likes of Facebook & co but isn't there uploads immediate to the Internet? Does it mean someone within NZGR needs to be designated to get this up & running? It's my opinion the availability of replays is now an essential & vital part of the punt! Tell me who doesn't want to know the racing traits of dogs drawn either side of your own charge for me I need to know do they go right or left do they run off at the turn or cut back in. Three days to get a replay up is just unacceptable in 2017. Comet Michael Hart
  2. I truly cannot understand the problem, years ago it was a regular occurrence in Melbourne with short course sprinters. Dogs would race at Olympic Park on the Monday,& line up the very next night at Traralgon. One of the greatest trainers ever to put a collar & lead on a dog, Ned "Silver Fox" Bryant would always do the double take. And that was back in the day when there wasn't the equipment there is now, to keep a dog up & going. What I cant get my head around,if one of these dogs in question is Follow Fame? Does anybody out there think her trainer would seriously jeopardise her breeding career? She's a Group winning bitch, they don't grow on trees!!..give the trainer he due respect!.. Michael Hart
  3. To the connections of this wonderful little bitch. Congratulations on what can only be described,as a marvellous career. Her stats say it all,I'm sure you've enjoyed every moment. Unfortunately with the all the highs come the lows. If ever a bitch deserved a chance at Group level,it was certainly Bright Star! Her true grit to climb her way back into winning form of late, has been nothing short of sensational. Going into this years Railway she deserved her ranking,as the number one dog to beat. Sadly nature had other plans in mind. But we now look forward to seeing her progeny grace the track,if there half as good Mum,exciting times are just around the corner! I wish you the best of good luck in the future with your Brightest Star. Michael Hart
  4. Hi Josh Your analysis is right on the mark! Within the next twelve months Fabregas will have an abundance of well bred stock running around...with the great Dixie Lee's offspring being amongst them. Were any of this litter for sale Josh?.. Trying to find a straw of Bombastic Shiraz..is like looking for hen's teeth over here. Although a good mate of mine was able to secure one just recently..believe me mate they don't come cheap..the hardest part is getting the people to part with them..& i for one don't blame them either!! Hope you were able to partake in the good odds on offer with Astromatic Saturday night well found!...my heart was with the runner up..he's a top dog in the making this one & will only get better. Merry Xmas & a Happy New Year Regards Michael Hart
  5. Hi Alesha My second choice for my bitch was Spring Gun..change your tesmating around on GD & watch this mating light up like a Xmas tree! There are good reports circulating around here in Oz..that he puts some aggression into his pups. You may like to follow a litter form Diamond Series..who's closely related to your bitch. Her pups from Spring Gun have just hit the track here in Oz..already producing a winner. Merry Xmas & a Happy New Year to you & your family. Regards Michael Hart
  6. Hi Alesha you wont do yourself any harm by using this brood line as a starting point..many people here in Oz including myself feel this breed continue to produce exceptional dogs..the Robson name is legendary in northern NSW. My good friends the Magnay's who reside in Lismore which is situated within that region have nothing but admiration & kind words about Nev Robson..fact is they also bought two bitches from him..Drunken Treasure & Diamond Series..there track careers were plagued with injuries..but it's in the breeding kennel where these two girls have left there mark..they're both out of Hot Treasure who of course is the Mother of Hifi Allegro as well! In the last five years the Magnay's have produced some marvellous dogs here in Oz using this magnificent line..I refer to the likes of Speed Series Maximus Danger Chevez Four Winds Sabah Magic Hurricane Ash & one you should remember who raced in NZ not long ago Firehawk...who was a track record holder in Oz before crossing the ditch..he was a flying machine & won many races in NZ..after such a short racing career the dog tragically broke a hock..I will kick off my first breeding venture with an El Galo x Drunken Treasure bitch..who at the age of thirteen months was showing blinding speed prior to breakin..but unfortunately whilst I was on holidays a grass seed penetrated her body..which left her in a shocking state..if not for leading Australian vet Alistair Smith she would never had pulled through..when she recovered our girl was never the same..she'd lost all that magical speed she once had..although she did have two starts running a second & fourth. Truth be known at the time of purchase I never intended to race her..she was bought primarily for breeding..come February she'll be mated with Fabregas..our girl is 33kgs of muscle!... I also own two of her brothers from the same litter who've done extremely well for me...Feels Like El who has won thirty races in WA & will be crowned Mandurah Trackstar early next year...& of course Sozin's Comet who I hope people will take time to view his breeding chart..it's there they'll read why he can run!..so Alesha I wish you well in the future with your breeding..i look forward in seeing many more progeny race from the Nev Robson line..& good luck with your venture. Regards Michael Hart
  7. With respect WhoKnows..I for one wouldn't tell John where to run Sozin's Comet..there's only one Captain of the ship & John's it!..he hasn't done a bad job up until now? Although I did pose the question last year after the Galaxy..if we were heading to the Dash For Cash..& at the time he was more worried about the lure or should I say the lack of sound it makes to the release point..John's judgement was spot on..it was also a concern as we headed to the Railway earlier this year..if you can recall in the final he was last out with Call Me Ralph (Great Chaser)..luck was on our side that night when the gaps appeared.

    Dixie Lee

Dixie Lee, Champion race bitch "The Queen Of Addington" You've provided us with some fantastic memories, over a star studded career! Before sending my dog across the ditch, I was pre warned he had to take on the mighty bitch Dixie Lee. Whilst studying her form, I instantly became a fan! How could one not but admire, that explosive speed from box rise to the finish. "I was in awe of such brilliance" To her owner & trainer, congratulations on what I'm sure has been a sensational ride for you all . I'm certain your now looking forward, to the second phase of her great career. And of course I'm referring to the breeding,of potential champions! The privilege was mine to compete against the great Dixie Lee. Michael Hart..owner of Sozin's Comet.
