Cubes certainly won today, congratulations nice win from an honest mare.

Just imagine if it had happened at Ashburton. All the talk would have been about the poor standard of southern jockeys.

Sadly, I never met Brian but I loved the 'cantankerous' jibe, Ohokaman.
Did you see this from The Queen's recent passing?:
Richard Griffin, a former royal protection officer for Queen Elizabeth II, told a heartwarming story following the news of her death.
Mr Griffin recalled the time when he was walking with the Queen close to her Balmoral estate and they were approached by two American hikers.
Mr Griffin said: "There were two hikers and the Queen would always stop and say hello. It was clear they did not recognise the Queen.
"I could see it coming and sure enough one hiker asked Her Majesty 'where are you from?' She said 'I live in London but I have been coming up to a holiday home just over the hill for over 80 years.' He replied 'well if you have been coming up here for 80 years you must have met the Queen?'"
Griffin said that the Queen replied: "I haven't but Dick here meets her regularly". The American hikers proceeded to ask Mr Griffin what the Queen was like, to which he replied "She can be very cantankerous but she has a lovely sense of humour".
The American hikers then asked the Queen to take their photo standing with Mr Griffin and eventually they had one taken with her as well.
Mr Griffin said after the Americans left the Queen turned to him and said: "I'd love to be a fly on the wall when he shows those photos to his friends in America and hopefully one of them tells them who I am."

Hang in there lad. Health is the most important thing any of us can have, and many of us are struggling, some more than others. I'm going through plenty, and sadly so are a number of my close friends right now, not to mention a number of acquaintances. The medic are good at keeping us alive these days, but man, plenty of us are struggling. Returning to 100% health is easier says than done. But lean on all the support you have, and enjoy things the best you can. 

Lad, This is but a blog but it can also be considered to be a community. We are all different.
I can be grumpy at what I consider wrong thinking and be rude. But then I work on the old saying , I'll put up with your peculiarity if you will put up with mine. "Perfection is the province of the Lord" said Michelangelo as he put another scratch on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
Another piece of wisdom is the most important thing in life is to know which way is up.. Head that way fella.

It will but she's going to be a long hard journey but I have got some great support around me.

You have come across perfectly ok Ladd. Good to have your input. And I hope the health comes right.

To the race cafe wider community 
 
I am writing to the wider race cafe community to formally apologize for the way I have come across since joining this website I have just been dealing with some massive health issues and coming to terms with it all, I find massive value in being a member of this website getting to talk about the subject we all love in horse racing I am a student of the great game and have passion for it not many young people like myself have the passion or understanding of racing or the knowledge that I have
 
So thanks to everyone on here for not giving me the boot evan though scooby probably hates it when he sees my name pops up lol anyway I hope this letter finds everyone on the site well and I aapologize again to anyone if I have come across abit strong.
Also if anyone is looking for a tip in the Caulfield cup put a little somthing on great house each way.
