I agree. Why can't they have New Zealand meetings first instead of having to scroll through a bunch of complete shit to get to what you want. I want it on the first page when I click racing. The sooner they get rid of this website and put something decent in its place the better.

When a well run Club with good support from visitors and locals do not get granted a licence to race it is a disgrace to the whole Industry.great facilities for horses and trotting people from Northern areas and Central and a Committee that cared for the Industry .we raced some horses there up to I think .2018 on the grass as the all weather track was removed decades ago. New Plymouth is a trotting centre as part of a circuit that now consists of 2 days at Hawera (not Easter that was too good a position on the calendar for them ) and thats it . ! No Stratford/New PlymouthWhanganui  etc. Now no racing at Manawatu for 6 months ...... Lets Hope Entain may understand to attract owners ,Trainers and punters they would be  wise to look at a huge area of potential being lost .

Based on projections of attendance, this should do the job and not be too cost prohibitive....

Just waiting for the first big north Island trainer to get sick of the situation pull the pin and move south. There is at least one I know of who is thinking of doing just that.

The latter had settled three back on the rails before taking good ground off the winner late, whilst The Falcon's effort was full of merit as he had copped his fair share of mid race pressure"
I would have called it sustained early pressure from the start which spread the field out over more than 20 lengths, the commentator noted a Very Fast Lead Time of 1.14.2, this "pressure" was the result of one of the 3 Diamond Racing Stables horses in the 9 horse field challenging for the lead, it was Dashing Major, driven by John Dunn that applied this pressure.
Dashing Major was of course the horse that decided by himself, to move out into traffic rather than take the passing lane, thereby letting his stablemate go through to win the Marlborough Cup, this time Major thought it was a bad idea to challenge for the lead, but the use of the whip got him onboard with the plan.
Major was right and John was wrong, they both ended up 10.8 Lengths from the winner in last place.
So what did the Racing questionable Integrity Board do?
The Stipes Report said that Dashing Major  " weakened round the final bend and locked wheels with Get Up n Dance "  there was no mention of the driving tactics employed by John Dunn, or a Vet check requested for Major, although it was of course obvious why he had weakened.
It was a clear case of driving in a manner capable of diminishing the chances of his horse, and coincidently helping his stables runner who was trailing The Falcon.
At Wyndham, graduation driver Ricky Gutsell was suspended for 7 days for diminishing the chances of his horse, he has had 29 race drives.
John Dunn has had 12309 drives, he should be suspended for a year, with a 10% uptick for driving to help stable runner!
Of course when your daddy's a Board member and the horse's trainer, the R?B are not going to ask the question's let alone put a charge before the Adjudication committee.

He is not a horse that can do a lot of work in the running at that level

I prefer to go on previous years stats and his roi for last year was in the dog box. He might have a good start for a month but twelve months later will tell the true story. 

Which is why the Turnovers are pathetic, on last months season to date figures,  ATC would need to drop Stakes by 35% just to break even, NI clubs have lost the support of punters with their small fields, and with the latest significant drop in expected foals the situation is not going to change anytime soon.
The relevant numbers suggest to me, that the Park should be closed, and Cambridge race weekly with the higher horse numbers that become available.
 

Almost impossible to come from the back in those fast miles. They will run better than 1:48 I think and Hi Manameisjeff can do that from the front so going to be hard to run him down.

Yes they don't need hopples to run 1:50 for that guy. Could probably get one to run 1:50 on three legs
