  1. "What could happen if a horseupsets him? I believe he is likely to lash out and ill-treat the animal." This is the only comment I was referring to, suggest you read again if you can't understand that! Not once did I say his rants were ok, again have another read! Never said the last part either, can you read at all? I do wonder. Seeing as you like facts and English lessons, here is how your comment I was referring to is what I said it was. Profiling = The use of personal characteristics or behavior patterns to make generalizations about a person, Prejudiced = Preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience. Did you see or know that Bronson has lashed out and Ill-treated a horse??? Just because I abuse another driver for cutting me off does not mean I am going lash out at him! Bronson has made some poor choices, but as you rightfully said Taku, referring to "They" and "Both sides" Is saying he wasn't the only one carrying on like an idiot. An all round poor performance from two - three of our best Junior Drivers. But let's not forget, that's exactly what they are! Not everyone is perfect and they are still learning their craft. Do you think they will learn from this? $1.01 they will. Why? Because they love the industry, the people in it and most of all the horses! If you don't believe that then just read the profiles of our Jnr Drivers from the champs and see what drives them, who their mentors are etc! Now do as a Janitor does, mop up the dribble and keep things clean!
  2. What a Prejudiced profiling comment that is! The love for horses and a competitive nature is I'm sure what got him into the game and keeps him in it. To assume he will lash out at a horse is utter garbage from you Janitor. Pull your head in!
  3. TDC he won't be able to I'd imagine, it says on website "Total Client Security Provided". If everything is above board and fine about the whole thing I see no reason why one would have to say that!
  4. That's rich coming from some one who made false accusations towards a certain relationship in the All Stars camp.
  5. I understand what you are trying to say regarding the cars Mr Pilcher and I have visited and read what the site has to say. I just don't get why... if it's 100% drug and chemical free why is there a need for "total client security"? I won't check the line you ask as I was hoping you could tell me how your product is not performance enhancing? As one with competence and knowledge in a specified area I'm sure you can help me out on that one before I Invest on a cup day win! As for your punting, may be just stick to the ones that get the treatment, sounds like the ones that do get it like winning, or is that the trainer, I can't remember....
  6. Mr Pilcher, I happen to like winning, I would hate to have a positive swab saga with a horse I own, almost every time there is one the amount of negitivity that spreads through the industry is toxic and it seems to be getting worse almost every new one that is made public. You said, I can tell you its only popular with trainers that like winning without positive swabs. To me that line says you are selling a performance enhancing product or is it a technique?....that currently has no issues in terms of returning a race day irregularity. Why aren't all trainers using this then? Sounds like the perfect product all trainers have been waiting for! I guess for me when I think about this whole thing, there is a significant cost involved to use it correct? It's been available for years you say, it's an anti inflammatory that can ease pain. All these things morally just don't sit right with me especially when it's no secret Mark charges over 2x what some other trainers do, they have been massively dominant for almost 10 years now and the list of injured horses out of that barn over the years is longer than a Brodie rant about being a restricted punter! May be its just great business that now the more clients you get the more money M&N make. I want a win on cup day, I don't ask for much. So where do I sign up? Should I just make the cheque out to Mark and Nat?
  7. Hi Nina. I'm not to sure anyone on here was knocking Ben as an individual on this topic. Good on you for coming on and saying your piece, I think you made a couple of great points. 1) You and Ben both don't agree with the rule. 2) Ben does feel for the connections of Layton's Lass. 3) Ben thinks his fine should be paid to the owners of the affected horse. I highlight these because both of you are very active in this industry and have been for a number of years, you yourself a very successful trainer/breeder/owner and Ben who I see as someone who has a big future in the industry in any branch he wishes to under take. I think its great that you don't agree with this rule. I have spoken to other trainers and Drivers also and they agree that the current rule is wrong so if this is a general feeling amongst industry participants, why is nothing being done or said about it? Who stands up for the owners? shouldn't it be the Trainers? Without owners I dare say you don't have many horses in the barn, not to mention the punters who just had their their dosh go up in flames. Imagine if Layton's Lass was owned by a group of new owners who just joined the game and your trying to explain to them that u can pretty much knock a horse over and still win the race. Its a horrible look and in this day and age I'm sure there can be a better rule set in place. Its nice to hear that Ben has learnt from his drive. My grandfather used to say to me “Many times what we perceive as an error or failure is actually a gift. And eventually we find that lessons learned from that experience prove to be of great worth.” I remembered that through all my sporting days. The point I am trying to make is Im not sure just a $450 fine is the correct outcome for a situation like this. (Just My Opinion) Bens chosen career path puts him on the front line of the Harness Racing product that gets delivered to the people at home and at the track. A lot of money has been put in by Owners and Punters, Unfortunately when money is involved and things go wrong it can bring the worst out in people. I suspect that Ben like all drivers and professional sports people will experience criticism along the road for various things, when you are in the public eye or on T.V its inevitable.
  8. May be a witch cast a spell on it!
  9. If that's the rule Brodie than your correct what an absolute joke. The first thing terry has to do after having his legs taken out is return his horse to the proper gait and then try make ground on them when they are going full clip 300m to go, no wonder there was no enquiry with a dumb rule like that Terry wasting his time even thinking about it.
  10. Ive already read that! To me it reads stuff the owners of Laytons lass who were a live chance of getting the money on the turn. Oh shit but we better blame someone. Ok let's give him a $450 fine for careless driving. Clearly he wasn't going to defend the charge, why because there is a video with his hand in the cookie jar! I think Ben hope is a great kid and will have a long and successful career in this industry BUT what is he going to learn from this fine? I guarantee the owners will pay it for him if not mum and dad. Clearly this horse has ability and it won't be its last race win but in my opinion it was the one and only reason laytons lass galloped at the top of the straight when it was a realistic win chance. Ben would learn more by having this win taken away from the the owners and seeing the real consequences that your driving can have instead of being slapped with a fine someone else will pay. I think it would make him a better driver also.
  11. How did this horse keep the win after completely extinguishing the chances of another runner at the top of the straight?
  12. This has the potential to be an awesome race this year with a very strong crop of 3yos. Just to name a few (I'm sure I'll miss some) Aloka, Sheriff, Star Commander, Alta Maestro, Henry Hubert, The Brooklyn Brawler, Mach Shard, Beachbabebeauty, Anna Malik, Culpeka, king Of Swing, The Dorchester, Oh yer and I think the All Stars might have a couple haha
  13. If you were "wondering why" he is such a good driver than keep watching when he takes up his invitation to drive in the world drivers champs in Canada. He's had a win on USA soil and will show you his class at this event.
  14. Not letting anyone talk you out of a Bettor Chance tomorrow?
  15. Pretty sure she left the country, Thailand I believe...
