NZTR is subject to complying with the Privacy Act . Also with respect to OIA & Privacy Act requests there is a legal requirement for them to respond to the application within 20 working days .

Incidently there have been approximately ( give or take a few ) 47 races which have had a stake increase of $1000 since 26th February 2014 . Could one expect an honest result at a mid-week meeting when starting a horse in a race which has had a $1000 top up ? Private subsidies could equal Hong Kong Dollars .

Must be damn sure they're going to get the bickies .A bit disconcerting for some of the other runners connections particularly if it is circulated amongst some of the riders that a sale is on the cards

Over the past 12 months there have been stakes increases of $1000 for maiden 3yr old and other maiden races . Is the reason for these increases to meet an overseas entry or sales criteria of a take home pay of $5000 winners take ? Who puts up the cash ?

Yesterday's carnage highlighted the importance for the need for improved riding standards and an increased emphasis of safety to both horse and rider . The effected horses as a result of the rough house tactics have paying owners who are not receiving a fair and honest return for their expenses . Tougher penalties for offending riders will not only raise the standard but also compel offending riders to be responsible for their actions . A slap on the hand with a wet bus ticket will not suffice .

Would the same incident of endangering horse & rider through reckless riding as per NGH be better received if the offence was committed by a less fashionable rider or an apprentice ???. ( Might be a few riders who have come off second best through reckless actions of others who may not share your opinion ) As per the suspensions & dates implemented which were handed out ., I missed that part of your post . The post highlighted the double standards imposed on some riders while others get the soft option . ie: Some riders get suspensions imposed immediately whereas others get a stay of proceedings and have suspensions imposed which allows them to miss the lower stakes venues . What a deterrent ! One rule for all is my motto not depends who you are and what meetings are coming up

Was just reading the list of injured and suspended riders . It would appear that there is a pattern , of who gets put out and when their respective suspensions commence in relation to the date which the respective riding offences occurred . Some riders seem to have received " sentences " which were to be effective shortly after the date of the offences . Some have been treated with leniency and others not so . Other riders have been allowed to continue riding up to and including New Years Day ( for the larger stakes ) whereby their suspensions commence at the conclusion of riding on that day. This allows them to freshen up and miss a " few hack meetings " . ie NGH .( R3 Ellerslie ,Boxing Day ) 4 days to commence after racing on the 1st Jan 2015 Compare that to " Pumper " 1 month suspension .. Huge disparity between Australian Racing Standards and whatever you call it in NZ ... " in vogue or out of vogue riders." Who brings the charges to the riders ? The stipes? Is the judiciary powerless to act independently should there be a clearly obvious act of dangerous riding ? " Too late if there had been a crash resulting in serious injury to rider or horse or both ?" Are the stipes an impartial entity or are they " too close " to some riders ? Would it be too unrealistic to expect an egalitarian approach to riders who have trangressed ? High time to take the " bull by the horns " and clean things up in a professional manner .

Race 3 resembled stock cars . I missed the part in the report where Tronic Rose all but fell in the straight . Lucky not to cause serious injury to horse and rider . Laying it on too thick ? Wouldn't like to be the bill payer either not to mention a punter or a visiting rider. Great advertisement Any of you whizz kids able to put the link up for subjective observations ?.
