Have CJC put money ahead of the industry. With the next 2 meetings being Christmas at the Races race days and good corporate days they have announced that the first of these 2 days and maybe both will be held on synthetic track. Why is it not transferred to Ashburton. I thought that the Synthetic tracks were an option for Winter racing Will the trainers support this move ?

Is it not a concern that when we here from the CJC these days they are bleating how poor they are. A month ago it was all about how they could not afford to fix the Grandstand now they are asking patrons not to take what is entitled to them. if you have no money sell the place and hold your meetings at Ashburton. It’s only 2-3 times a year people turn up.

I’ll start with 2 1- The industry invested $ 12 million into AW track so the course proper could be rested during winter months. What work was undertaken on the course proper during this time ? 2- Did the CEO receive any phone calls or emails from leading stables requesting that the track be watered ? If so …who and was a decision to irrigate to the level they did made because of their request.

I am not a Harness person (more gallops) but keep getting told to back horses from this Trainer. Is he the best Trainer at turning horses around or does the beach training make the difference Victor Bravo, Will he Rock are examples. They tell me top get on 3 first starters this week Tommysonaroll, Jazelle and Pocket Call. ANY CHANCE ?

Just watching the 2000 m race and see all the work being done inside the track, presume it is the new AW track. Why not keep digging and take out the course proper aswell.

I feel sorry for Banks Peninsula Racing Club. They are forced away from their own racecourse and made to hold a meeting on a track that is cr*p !!! Middle of summer and jockeys have one goal as they leave the barrier and that is getting to the middle of the track. CJC.....Instead of spending 15 + million on an All Weather track spend some money on your Course proper

Can someone explain to me why the Counties Cup is limited to a 14 horse field. One of the biggest tracks in NZ, rail in the true position and they deny 6 horses a start .... for what reason.

Lost interest in betting at Addington even before the Purdon team returned. 1980 metre Mobile Racing is so boring and predictable. Go throu the stats and leader, trailer, 3 back dominate. 2600m races give more horses a chance. As for Auckland small fields give you no reason to bet.

I’m surprised that he hasn’t “owned up” to the incident. Seems that to get the best result in Court you admit your wrongs, blame your early life or an addiction and get some outside help. He appears to not want to accept he did something wrong.
