freightman got a reaction from Dazzer in Brian Martin
Mark is a first class caller. For some reason, some people don’t like his calling. But his commitment to greyhound racing and his knowledge is second to none. That’s why he’s in HALL OF FAME

freightman got a reaction from Daveski in Three dog meetings to be called from the studio next month
Thought Andy did a great job. Can’t be easy looking at a tv. Can’t glance back to see dogs., did his homework and knew about racing styles of dogs. Well done.

freightman got a reaction from GOM in Call to bring back Nomination Fees
Harness has had no nominations for 10 years or more. Galloping has just dropped them and also paying back to 14th We race for less money and people think we should pay nominations fees. That’s called sweepstake races.

freightman got a reaction from Camacho in Index of Starters at Wanganui
The Bigtime now had to be Big Time as Coles have not registered their name with greyhounds Australia
We were told the same with our Goldstar prefix, it we registered it or would have to be Gold Star

freightman reacted to Jape in Ron Todd R.I.P.
I was very saddened to hear of the death of Ron Todd who died on Wednesday night
Ron was a member of the Opawa Racing Syndicate along with Graeme Camobell and Robin Wales. They must rank very highly as one of NZ's most successful greyhound owning partnerships.
Ron was not one to seek the limelight but I found him a very cheerful fellow who could be seen occasionally at Addington Raceway on the big occasions.
Ron was a handy lawn bowler and and a highly respected administrator at the Canterbury Bowling Club where he was the club's treasurer.
Rest in Peace, Ron.

You obviously have no idea so you.. What person smiles when carrying an injured dog.

freightman got a reaction from legs&lashes in What the
Thought I would make some comments on this as your comments have no substance at all.
i train for Punters HQ and can tell you They do plenty of homework sorting dogs that will suit NZ racing
i have 3x class 5 dogs and 2x class 4 dogs and a few other dogs that will get to be good class dogs as well
These are not what I would call tier 2,3 or 4 dogs, and believe me , these dogs are not 2-3k dogs
There are many owners sending a lot of dogs over Cawbournes or Wheeler dogs so this is nothing new to NZ racing
Also they had favourite for nz oaks and the railway and well as winning group race ( Nancy cobain)

freightman reacted to NeilD in Free Speed maps
Not at this stage. Just no time to do them and can't go on paying others to do them as well. The racing bodies aren't prepared to pay for the information that punters, especially in Australia, demand to have to get seriously involved. It is a shame as of all the codes, greyhound sectionals are the most useful to know.

freightman reacted to mmmyb in Time for positive leadership.
No friendships anymore yet you comment "classic case of who you know, not what "
So what are you wanting out of all this?
He has stepped up to the plate and we have to wait and see before we can judge.
Or we throw rocks first so he doesn't get a chance?
Another quote from You "seems to be the way the industry is going"
Hmmm.

freightman got a reaction from Alison in Clean Up Your Act says Winnie
Don't think " trainers in general " don't care about their dog. Most trainers have a great love for these wonderful animals, a few let the majority down. We rehome all our dogs, some of which can be here for up to a year after they retire from racing, you don't do that without loving them. And yes Bonnie is at the riccarton market as often as she can.
