  1. One of life's finest.Probably teaching them Liar's Poker up there as we speak.Sadly missed.
  2. I think you've hit the nail on the head Mardi.Maybe it's time for the government to hit the racing authorities with the "you f....d it you fix it".
  3. Mrs Biff Thanks for your response and I now appreciate the dilemma you guys face.Good luck in your endeavours given that the cards seem to be stacked against you.
  4. Biff A question without malice. Why does a sale to Hong Kong destroy the pedigree page?
  5. He's expecting the DCM any minute now!!!
  6. One for all the bookie haters. My mate got a free $400 topup from Ladbrokes on Saturday.$200 of which he had on Friendly Dragon $143 in the last in Brisbane. There is a GOD.
  7. Had the misfortune to have one by Aberconway a long while ago.Grass in summer grew faster than he could run. Can't remember many good ones or was I just unlucky?
  8. "Anyone who Phantom describes as putting a large bet like that with the NZ TAB is a mug in the first place as there would be over 15 outlets world wide that would have greater odds on the exact same bet." My point exactly.Maybe the only bookie in the world that doesn't want to bet a mug.Yet they have probably lost this mug!!! Why not bet the guy and do what they want with it later, still keep him. Bookmaking Rules 1,2 and 3 Never ever lose a mug
  9. Well said mate, they should at the very least have to bet you something at the odds!!! Come on barryb show a bit of fight.
  10. All I'm really asking is do they make public the profit/loss of the fixed odds operation ?
  11. Question for lestom.Would you rather 4% of a guarunteed profit (tote turnover) or 24.6% of a possible loss (FOB)?.One does not neccessarily offset the other unless we know the profit/loss on FOB.
  12. I see on the latest NZTR communique that tote turnover was down 4% but had been offset by FOB turnover up 24.6%.Do they ever release profit/loss figures on FOB?
