    I was wondering if the clocks down south are running slower than ours up north as none of the races from Wingatui have been on time today , I think the closest race to start time was 2 minutes late and the worst was 10 minutes after start time. What's going on?

    Today they ran race 1 over 1600m in 1.38.34 and the Thorndon in 1.37.66 on a Good 3. Last Saturday they ran the Anniversary over 1600m in 1.35.17 on a Good 3...........spot the difference!

    The winner of this race will be exempt from the ballot for the 2012 Wellington Cup. The winner of the Marton Cup shall be handicapped in the 2012 Wellinton Cup at the rating the Horse has taken into the Marton Cup. As a result no re-handicap shall apply for the Wellington Cup.

    I think this is a huge call! Andrew Clarken has done a fantastic job in turning the stable around and more importantly bringing back the credibility that was so sorely damaged 18 months ago. Good luck to the new partnership but I for one will be supporting Andrew with our next syndicate horse if he stays in NZ.

    Yes she was impressive as was the horse that ran 2nd considering that the jockey dropped his whip and the horse ran out. Iffraaj seems to have gone very quite up North or have i missed all news reports.

    This seems to happen at the Cambridge trials OFTEN............. They are constantly deleting the trials designed to help educate the later developing maiden horses towards getting to the races in favour of letting the well educated and raced horses get fit for race day.
