7 talking heads needed? What do I know? I watched only the races, as the captions rarely matched the horse in view.

Ridiculous! (Nearly added a rude word). Probably a case for court re restraint of trade, anti-trust (U.S.A.) laws. Why not open to all trainers but add 2 kg. to horses from the more sucessful ones? Or, pay horses for running last.

In 30 minutes, there were 25 minutes of talking heads. Show the horses which are attractive animals. Most people can listen and watch contemporanously.

    Hi, S.S.,

B.D.M. on-line show 3 deaths 1870-1910 - Robert RAY, d. 1891, aged 50; Robert Henry RAY, d. 1872, aged 30; Robert RAY, d. 1907, aged 78. The last-named was a school teacher at Karamea, so the first of those might be your man, and it could be that there is a father/son combinatiuon. Papers Past has hundreds of records for Bob Ray, showing him riding at Dunedin and Auckland in 1860s. In the 1870s, he established training stables at Riccarton. There was also an Australian horse of that name who seems to have been a good winner.

    Grammar ain't what it used to be;
Gameplan should be game plan.Strategy is a synonym of plan but 'strategic plans' grew like cliches a few years back (strategic plan = planned plan?). Leverage is inappropriate in this context - I think but not sure what the context is.
Does it sound impressive because many people don't understand what it means? Is the intention that 'We will try to increase business by asking for help'? 'Achieving that target' - does it have a number too? Sounds radical!

"exciting and innovative" - might cause a little thrill but has been done before so hardly innovative, as many people have been asking for this for years. The industry needs to attract more customers to progress further. Free Trackside TV might help.

N.P. on leased land and no room to expand any facilities or increase the size of the track. Perhaps there is a cunning plan to (re)introduce racing to Urenui or Awakino - might be some flat land there after the roadworks have finished. Mt. Messenger by-pass hasn't started. Needs to be North of N.P. as the next track in that direction is not at Taumarunui - when did that close? Then Waipa or Te Rapa, because there is no course at Whangamomona.
A proposal from D.o.D.O. - Department of Daft Objectives?

The prejudice against N.Z.-bred stallions has been long-standing. Even saw a post here about "colonial-bred stallions" - a vomitable expression nowadays. With a closed gene pool, everybody can only mix the same ingredients. More expensive stallions were imported, especially from the 1990s on, but with no discernible improvement in results.
You can find stallions in Australia that carry N.Z. blood-lines as they seem to have a greater belief in the local product. When you see Sunline, Winx and Verry Elleegant (sorry for the spelling!), you might wonder what happened to their brothers and nephews. Black Caviar, through her sire, could be included.

Tell that to the connections of the other horses who were denied a fair go. C.G.A. expects that all trades-people are competent in their craft. Had I been an affected party, I would be talking to lawyers. Agree with the post by NextPlease, seeing how long it can take a horse to wind up.

Yes - query their jurisdiction. He is not employed by Racing Victoria so, as an independent contractor (sort of), could not be accused of bringing the sport into disrepute as he was not referring to R.V. On shaky ground in trying to limit his freedom of speech.

'transformational change' - is that like strategic planning? More synonyms at which you can shake a wooden, timber, rod-like pole?
'leading and driving' - very flexible or a split personality?
'multi-dimensional organisation' - I thought that it was solely concerned with racing of thoroughbred horses.
'strong relationships both internally and eternally' - typing error or the appointee stays forever?
Is tautology a requirement in M.B.A. study?

How likely is it that there will be an impartial judge at their hearing, when the judiciary is similar to a 'closed shop' work-place and they seem to be beyond reproach? Read somewhere recently about the Judicial Conduct Commissioner but, as I recall, he/she is not very busy - like nobody has ever been censured?
As usual, remorse is only needed when you are caught.

In commercial law, retailers are not obliged to complete a transaction for an incorrect price. Thus, 'customers' can't alter price tickets then claim that the item has to be sold at that price. However, this is a technical point in contract law; offered - accepted, but betting agencies put that disclaimer in their Terms & Conditions, as stated above. Likewise, if a bank puts money in your account by mistake, the onus is on the recipient to prove that they could reasonably assume that they were entitled to the money.
Could a court case succeed? Don't know but abusing T.A.B. staff and systems won't resolve it.

Should N.Z.T.R. look elsewhere than the N.Z. T.A.B. for a gambling service? Who owns what?
