And all fillies so far...colt going around at Windsor today. its nice when you can breed to a horse when you know the fillies can run, like old RIP Centaine for example and RIP O’Reilly and ..... it helps to lower risk of a commercial blow out

I saw him a few years ago at the parade when he arrived, I really wanted to like him, he’s got great credentials, but I did think he was very lite in physicality, I partly put that down to the fact he had not let down. Overall, he’s a good horse to have I think. Can anyone put up his foal / weanling or yearly types.

I understand with what you are saying but I guess what I’m saying is... if the mix of caliber of mare and stallion you bred to is worth more than what it costs you - then you have paid unders. So if you breed a good mare and have a nice product then it would cost you more if you went to buy it at a sale... so worth doing. We are not talking about non-stakes performed mares or I agree with your logic.

Agree with the comment that “would you buy (or race) what you are breeding”. Breed what you cant afford to buy (or would pay overs for) otherwise why are you doing it (from a commercial aspect) as you would be better off buying a horse when you want one. Spec days are largely over!

Supply and demand

One way ... advertise and sell on multiple platforms and the in person sale is “if not sold prior”... In any business knowing and connecting with your customer is key. On another angle As you may know I’m a a fan of parts of the German model and exclusive sire arrangements - I’m sure savabeel has done ok as private.

I wonder if it will begin to swing the power back to supplier ie the major producers like arrow field who through necessity prove that in fact they have exclusivity and pulling power in a business where discerning wealthy buyers want an edge.
