    Oh Dear

You have to have enough 2000m+ races in the lower grades for them to rise up the rankings. Look at the programming

    Oh Dear

All our black type races have been below standard all this season. There will be warnings everywhere. The Avondale Cup has 11 nominations and 4 horses rated under 64. Its so poor its not even funny. If Concert Hall accepts then 8 of the 11 horses will run off 52kg....where are the jockeys for that?!?! Any horse that has won 2 races with potential is gone. The prize money in NZ is a shambles. Take a horse like Need I Say More. A once in a lifetime horse, a horse that has won 7 races, 6 of them black type (2 x group 2, 3 x group 3 and a listed race). This horse cost $138K (not excessive) including GST and has won $245K (after trainers and jockey 15%). So a net figure of $107K. With three seasons racing I would say this horse has lost money. That is just not sustainable. A horse like this would win a million in oz. Hence why they go.

Durham, nothing to see here. Hilary was unlucky not to be President with Russia colluding with Trump she should impeach him. Putins puppet. Still watching CNN Hokey and Mitey?

    Oh Dear

The new licensing system proposed will do nothing to help that either when all the horses at those meetings will have to be trained by the best professional trainers, leaving the chance of any "up and comers" from a small stable unable to compete.

Yes, Franco Mac was huge... one of the best runs I have seen for a while, reminiscent of Laver in the Jewels! All Stars have got three quality horses. First, I thought Akuta the best. Then Franco Indie, but after Saturday's run Franco Mac must be the best of them? It's certain that these three will dominate G1 this season. Bolt for Brilliance was brilliant. As an earlier post said, few are as good at setting a horses as Tony Herlihy. He knew the race was his before he lined up and drove it like it. SS couldn't get near him.

I felt a little sorry for the connections of Franco Mac. Outstayed both Akuta AND Franco Indie and still didn't win the race. Going in anyone would have thought "nab that pair and we're home", but no. Was a great race though. Hopefully the meeting grows, as when you've only got 6 races and one race has 3 horses in it, and another 5 horses, it takes some of the gloss of what should have been a superb night. Instead it was a night with some hi lights, the 3yo C&G race being easily the best (although I admit i didn't see BFB beat SS).

    Auckland noms

Addington not a whole lot better with only 91 noms for 11races. Zero noms for 2 yr old race and 2x races for the better class of horse light on noms as well. Meanwhile Rangiora gets 164 noms , on the grass during the day on Sunday. A lot of non-winners racing and almost every horse rated below 54 rating. Probably most of the horses owned within 90 mins drive and Sunday day provides a good outing. The bigger fields with few hotties suits the masses.

  15. There will be no stopping the freedom rally. The Govt will cave. The people will see the truth. For the people who don't understand what the Convoy to the Capital... freedom rallies around the world are about…… . Well here's why It’s for the family members banned from visiting loved ones in nursing homes. It's for the people who couldn't attend funerals and bury their loved ones. It’s for censorship on all social media platforms. It’s for all the people too afraid to speak up in fear of being called conspiracy theorists. It’s for the people who willingly got the J because they were told it would end the lockdowns. It’s for the people who willingly got the J so they could open their business again, only to be told they can’t. It's for all the people who can no longer buy homes because of housing unaffordability and unavailability. It’s for the people who didn’t want to get J but were coerced to. It’s for the people who don’t want to give up their freedom of choice. It’s for the people who only want answers to the many questions that haven’t been answered. It’s for the people told to be to afraid to hug their family and visit their friends. It’s for the kids to go back to being kids and to stop having to live their life's revolving around politicians’ whims. It’s for all the religious people who were told their faith “doesn’t count”. It’s for all the families that lost a loved one to suicide. It’s for all the people who took their own lives due to this entrapment. Its for the mental health advocates that love and care but who aren't being supported and heard. Its for our people too, especially our teenagers, who can't access the mental health services and counselling that they so much need. It’s for all the thousands of nurses, doctors, police, emergency services of all kinds, teachers, early childhood workers & many other trade workers who have lost their job due to not wanting to have the J for their own personal beliefs. It’s for the people who want their lives back. For the restaurants to serve food to everyone. For the bars to play music. For the students to learn. For the kids to be free. For the people made homeless. For people who want to work but are forced not to. This is for those people. This is for trying to silence honest and hardworking citizens. This is for all the people told they can’t go to church. This is for trying to steal local water assets via Three Waters Reform. This is for trying to restrict our freedom of speech, our fundamental democratic right. This is for trying to remove our religious freedoms through shaming & bullying. This is for spending billions on advertising campaigns instead of using it to actually care for our sick & elderly. What a shame! This is for the abuse taking place in our long term care facilities that have been swept under the rug for too long. This is for the sufferers of adverse side effects being ignored & shamed. This is for the lives that we lost to the J. We will never forget you nor will we stop fighting for the justice we deserve. This is for trying to demonize good people. This is for trying to create a two-tier society. Never in my life have I ever seen the healthy punished and the sick untreated...Why have we made the cure worse then the problem itself? This is for the 300,000 surgeries canceled because of the “health emergency”. This is for the people that died waiting for their surgery. This is for the people who died alone in the hospital without being able to hold the hands of their loved ones. This is for everyone, even those that don't think they need it, it's for them and their children too. This is for the shattered relationships of families and friends, divided by the hysterical fear-mongering conducted by their government and media. This is for the exhausted nurses. This is for the doctors that are threatened. This is for all the front line workers… delivery trucks, grocery store clerks & emergency service workers who are constantly working overtime . This too is for our children, who we teach to stand strong, bold & firm. May they be able to stand tall once again and declare too that they have a dream. But finally this is for everyone of us, may we all be one people again. "Courage is infectious & so is Unity. "

  16. Wrong as usual It is the begnning of We the people taking back their countries(as per plan) from the tyranny as is being displayed worlwide BTW. The MSM and Govt are in a box. They can't talk to the protesters because the truth will emerge. The longer it goes the brainwashed sheep will see through the propaganda and the truth will be exposed. Omincron is a pandemic of the vaccinated Omicron ends the scamdemic as it has done in many other countries already. Enjoy the show

I think Herlihy knew he was going to win before he went onto track. No doubt a private run Friday and tender care during the week convinced him of this. He is very skilled at getting a horse right for the big occasion.

Sorry to spout the facts Martin, your the one who sees nothing wrong with the sport whilst it implodes dues to impropriety at many levels. Defend that if you like and make a bigger dick of yourself or take your head out of the sand and observe what many see

Yes, there was some great racing during the weekend. Bolt For Brilliance won easy, no excuses for the rest. Highgrove is class but I like the look of the Nairn trained El Conqueror, a powerful gelding by Sebastian K. He is green and didn't handle the track but never gave up. Watch for him next season! True Fantasy, too easy. She's the next Amazing Dream. Merlin class, huge runs from Seve and Son of Mac Good to see the Reid man win a big one again. Again there were some amazing runs from the beaten horses especially Franco Mac that was miles back at one stage. Self Assured lengths better than anything else in that field and he proved it. Jogged in.
