Hahahaa, was only trying to be helpful matey, but great negative response there as usual . well done . very funny though and must say there is a large population diversity these days as you suggested in Oz. could indeed be a fair few not speaking much English. I'm glad I lived in NZ for many years as people friendly ???? hahaha and the 5 of my best buddies here in Oz, are all kiwis are enjoying life in Queensland , and have no intention of returning to NZ. It's quite popular in Australia actually for kiwis (or don't you know that ? while trapped in your bowel movement? as quite a few good things .HORSE RACING for example ? ) it's only 3 hours away and has a similar government, monarch and flag even ??? can think of say 180 worse countries to live in out of 190 worldwide lol..... but good try with another insult !!2 points -

Interesting readers comments, very relevant about the License to Occupy for Retirement Village concept. Who stands to gain from that scam? Auckland is already overflowing with Retirement Villages that are unoccupied or have weather tightness issues as it is, those we know refuse to ever move into one of them and would far rather be carried out from their own home. Or is this to replace the sinking Retirement Village across Ladies Mile down in the gully where it should never have been built? The whole property market has changed from a decent sized property to crap. Who wants to see a complex of Tower Blocks up on our beloved Hill? Love the comment about Kenny Browne and his Ghost, may he come back to haunt those behind this short-sighted Quick Fix. Learn to live within a Budget those running the show or naf off. As an aside, Mitchelson, Hill and others, who must be turning in their graves at the thought of such desecration, ensured under the Domains Act 1800's future generations would have green open spaces for Recreation, go read it those involved and learn your History. Wake up folks, it's all very well for developers to say we need housing but the reality is, they also cost the Horse Racing industry a fortune when they demolished the old stands and built new ones, there's always a Consequence. What would Trevor McKee, Norm Holland and others think of this? Just seen HURRICANE LANE demolish the field in the Grand Prix de Paris. To be fair, Buick got a lovely sit just behind the pacemaker THE MEDITERRANEAN but he quickened smartly 400m out and that was that. WORDSWORTH ran on for second with ALENQUER third. I thought James Doyle rode a poor race on the third - from a wide draw, he elected to sit behind but was a long way off the pace and just couldn't make it up on the slow turf. As soon as he passed the post, I wondered if HURRICANE LANE might be back over course and distance for the Arc - on this evidence, he's clearly the best 3-y-o colt over 2400m though we must give Derby winner ABAYAR the chance to prove himself in the King George in eleven days and of course ST MARK'S BASILICA has done it over 2000m. The French 3-y-o colts, on the other hand, look very moderate.1 point

Red Rum woke labour voters don't cut the Mustard and definitely have no understanding of what racism is. Of the Brown decent I can tell you calling some one a black so and so is not racist. Referring to various names using black is not racist as when basketballer Steven Adams referred to Steph Currie as active as a monkey. They are all figures of speech. Actual racism is when you don't employ someone due to their color don't sit next to them on a bus. It amazes me how so many Europeans no all about racism but have probably never experienced it. If your white go to South Africa and get a first hand experience of it. Start in Johannesburg. The you will experience it. Nothing like being mugged because your white and will have cash. Otherwise leave the PC shit to the politicians, and focus on real issues1 point

S Phelan fined $800 for misconduct

Baz, thank you for quoting the seemingly offensive comments word for word. I read the comments out to my wife. She was born in Greece and has been a bit pissed off with Kiwis who ask her ;How do they separate the men from the boys in Greece. The cryptic answer is,..."with crowbars". She had lived in Greece in the 1967-74 period when the grossly offensive fascist Papadopoulos regime, ably backed up by fleas such as Henry Kissinger, reigned supreme. A repugnant regime that sent the likes of Mikis Theodorakis into exile. She tells me that not even that contemptible regime would have been so harsh on somebody such as Shaun Phelan. She is becoming worried as two of our four grandchildren are of Ngati Kahunganui and Ngapuhi extraction. The idiocy displayed by the extortionate fine placed on Shaun Phelan does absolutely nothing to enhance race relations in New Zealand in the near future. Indeed, it inflames racist attitudes. For that reason it is deplorable. And, Red Rum; for so long I have enjoyed your informative and intelligent comments about European racing. Your knowledge is a thing of beauty. But in this instance you are barking up the wrong tree.1 point -

I watched the interview & wondered afterward what the fuss was. Bugga me I missed it, had I heard that, I too would have done Exactly what I just did, laughed my lilywhite nono off. Ko tautoko te korero IMHO. Shaun would be 1 of the least "race ist" tane in Aotearoa & us Maareez should & do joke about ourselves & anyone else for that matter. Sad state of affairs for those with no sense of humour. Mostly only racing people who watch Trackside IF they happen to & one can hear far worse oncourse. A warning should suffice, after all watch TV & far worse is said & done in many programmes including kids ones. My Rottweiller's name was given as a term of endearment by me, so calling her mai N.....r may get me in deep tiko considering the breeds Pango LMFAO. PC gone mad, too many offended by too little of any importance. Biggist race ists IMHO are the very ones pointing the bone, our areas tino pai 4 that. I'm so over this kinda tiko & those who partake, much more to life as short as it is, to get knickers in knot over something so he mea iti. Big Mike's a Pangonui we love like Te whanau o Phelan.
