Normally I'm all for giving a young guy a chance to earn his way back... But after reading the JCA decision, this guy got exactly what he deserved. The trash got taken out!!!

  3. Picking up on tomorrow's afternoon, Ryan Moore has stepped in for a nice "spare" on OXTED with Cieren Fallon "not 100% fit" after a fall last week. The Craven has 10 runners and the money this afternoon has been for the Godolphin apparently "second string" LA BARROSA who won two before flopping in bottomless ground at Saint Cloud in the autumn. The Newmarket ground is near perfect and clearly a big run is expected. He's 8 lbs inferior to stable mate MASTER OF THE SEAS but the two horses are joint favs at 7/2 overnight. Another interesting horse is ROYAL AIR FORCE, a son of Fastnet Rock out of a Galileo mare. He won at the end of June last year in a 3-hprse race at Yarmouth by seven lengths but hasn't run since. Oisin Murphy rides and I think he could be worth a second look especially if he seems ready in the paddock. Aidan O'Brien has entered four and Joseph O'Brien has entered six for Sunday's Alleged Stakes over 2000m at The Curragh. LOVE has been entered but I'm certain she won't run.

Next step is to get Kerr charged by police and lock the thieving decepitive bastard up. I am sure the sporting professionals and others involved as being cheated on would be in full agreement.

  6. And the thing is with rules, you have to abide by all of them even the small ones otherwise, integrity, values, honesty, justice and RESPONSIBILITY goes out the door, rules are there for a reason. Shirk the small rules and you will shirk the big ones!

  8. Im not sure they had much choice given the gravity of the offending and his failure to attend the hearing and give them any reason to give a more lenient sentence. That said, I do sincerely hope that he gets the help he needs to defeat his issues and that happier days lie ahead for him and all.

  9. Unfortunately, he's at 66s in a number of places over here but there you go. He's bred to get every inch of the 2400m trip and on the dam's side you'd think he'd go on slower ground but winning a Leicester maiden is a million miles from winning a Derby. Looking at the form, the runner up, GUSTAV HOLST, from the Hannon yard, was on debut while the third, from the Crisford yard, ran off 72 but was beaten nine lengths so that would put LAW OF THE SEA with a rating in the mid-80s. I'd be more interested in races like the Queen's Vase at Ascot or the Leger as he looks a promising stayer.

Time flies and Ive been away from Otago for some time now.......but my guess would be that Paul was Brian's younger brother and their father was Morrie Kerr who was one of the bosses at the Fruit and Vege distributor/auction house called Reillys. But only a guess there...I could be missing a generation ! Some old bugger on here will know !

    Trump written off

So here is the shyte that Ohokaman has been quoting for 5 years and has formed his insane opinions from. CNN director admits to undercover agent James O'keefe that they are propaganda and their aim was to stop Trump winning and the hit jobs are fake news. He admits to the bullshit Matt Gaetz stories. They promote fear because fear sells and Covid has run it's course and they will be back on to fake Climate Change soon. At what point will the clowns here realise they have been brainwashed.....crimes against humanity. Without exception whatever CNN promotes the opposite is true.

  14. I have to plead some degree of ignorance in this area. When we talk about running the TAB are we talking about running a purely betting and gaming organisation? Is the actual racing industry being run totally separately and independently, and if so by whom? If the three codes independently run their own operations who oversees them, who finalises the racing calendar?

    Swabbing

I doubt relevant to the horse/ race above. However, I would presume that in any race, if there was cause to suspect a good horse had been nobbled to ensure it ran last, the horse would be swabbed to investigate the unusually abysmal performance.

Looks to me under the new laws, the Govt, along with the fake news propaganda, need to be held accountable, for instilling fear in the population by locking them down and using a fake PCR test (proven) to enforce their actions. They just made their own noose. Crimes against humanity.

Jesus Christ, I just read the decision. How the hell did he think he could get away with all this. The guy has an addiction but he had to be made an example of because of the harm he has done to racing. Plenty of scumbags up here in the good old USA. There is a big case that has been going on involving a couple of top thoroughbred trainers and a few harness trainers along with Vets. Trainers buying illegal substances off a guy who pretended to be a pharmacist with horses being doped and quite a few dying. Many of these are going to Federal Prison. The owner of the Meadowlands hired a private investigative firm who turned everything over to the FBI and many will be going to jail. COVID has delayed many charges and rumour is more trainers are going to be charged. The Meadowlands have banned quite a few known cheating trainers and now they al race in Pennsylvania which has bigger stake money races overall. Below is an article on original charges and just recently, 2 defendants took a plea deal which means they have ratted out the others. As far as I am concerned anyone, that harms an animal deserves a special place in hell. https://www.justice.gov/usao-sdny/pr/manhattan-us-attorney-charges-27-defendants-racehorse-doping-rings https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/two-plead-guilty-in-doping-charges/

  20. My first time on course at Ruakaka today A superb surface but a wicked leaders bias, if you don't settle in the first four you are out of it as nothing improves from the back. I quickly learned ignore form and tote price and simply back leaders and that proved very profitable. But surely is a superb track

Interesting article..... Thought crimes to become a thing in NZ 14 April 2021 As Kiwis, we all tend to think of our government as benign and having our (the citizens') best interests at heart. Whilst this may be true in many cases, it looks increasingly as if the government is moving to give itself and its many agencies, the legal right to do things that are wildly open to abuse. The first of these was the Criminal Proceeds (Recover) Act of 2009, a piece of legislation that allows the state to seize assets and cash from the public if they suspect that those assets/cash are the result of legal activity. "What's wrong with that?" I hear many people ask and indeed, it does not seem right that criminals should be able to keep their ill-gotten gains does it? Well the problem is that there is no burden for the state to prove that those are ill-gotten gains. Indeed, the person from who the booty is seized does not even have to be charged with a crime at all. The state can, at its own discretion, simply take all your worldly wealth and say "prove you didn't get this from illegal activities". Of course you can spend a huge amount of your own money to prove your innocence... or can you? Let's remember, you don't have any money because the state has taken it on an alleged suspicion that it is the proceeds of crime. Even worse, because you have not been actually charged with a crime you do not have any access to legal aid. Yep, you're screwed! But of course this ability to simply strip someone of their assets would never be misused, would it? Just like police would never fit up someone like Arthur Allan Thomas for a murder he didn't commit. Nah, that'd never happen. I have been told that there are instances where people have lost significant amounts of land to the state solely because cannabis plants were found on that property -- even though they were never charged with an offense. I say "I have been told" because I've not been presented with irrefutable evidence of this and want to be 100% fair and clear. So that's the sort of legislation that I do not believe is fair, honest or reasonable. ANY legislation that gives the state this sort of power without the requirement to provide legal proof of guilt is a very nasty and undesirable law. And guess what... it looks as if another, just as bad, is on the way in the form of proposed counter-terrorism lawsthat will, once again, not require agencies of the state to present any proof to a court before they act against members of the public. The bill would allow for warrantless searches based solely on suspicion and without the need to convince a court. Now you might think "hell, anything that reduces the risk of another incident like the mosque attack in Christchurch is a good thing right?" and that would be true... except that this bill would (IMHO) seem to be a significant erosion of our already dwindling rights as free citizens of a democratic nation. Take this quote from the Stuff article: A new definition somewhat broadens what a terror act is, describing it as carried out for “one or more purposes” that advance such causes, to induce “fear” – not terror – in a population. The threshold of producing "fear" is a hell of a lot lower than that to produce "terror" and that increased power opens the door to significant abuse when in the hands of the wrong people. Let's not remember how little time has really passed since anti-terror agencies of the government were found to be operating unlawfully on a long list of occasions including the surveilance and arrest of Kim Dotcom, the Urewera raids, the Nicky Hager case, etc., etc. The reality is that NZ's security agencies have repeatedly proven that they can not be trusted to act in a way that does not constitute an abuse of power so should we really be lowering the threshold here by way of legislation? This bill almost goes so far as to create a new swathe of "thought crimes" where simply thinking about doing something bad could see you in big trouble. Combine this with the massive wave of WOKEism that is flooding the nation and the world right now and it becomes a recipe for abusing the fundamental freedoms and rights of many NZers. Of course this is just a bill at the moment but it behoves every intelligent Kiwi to make submissions against the state's attempts to further insert the wedge of government control of our lives and the ongoing diminishment of our most basic rights and freedoms. Unless you'd prefer to live on your knees than die on your feet.

I'm watching it in Whangarei today and it's accurate to the hour. Just had a wee trickle of rain pass over and meant to be bits and pieces most of the day though not enough to effect the Ruakaka track.

    Aintree Jumps Meeting

I've been to Pardubice for the Velka Pardubika. The 4th obstacle, the Taxis, is a beast. Good thing they only jump it once and early in the race. It always claims a couple of horses. I walked the course a couple of days after the race and stood in the ditch on the landing side of the Taxis fence. I felt like a dwarf. I've attached the photo, by the way, I've 5'10" (178 centimeters).

    Golden chase

Firstly the judge has nothing to do with the timing its the photo finish opperator. The time for Pedro Lee of 25.61 is a crock of shit! In race mode the Brooks timing system only shows 3 digits on the the semaphore board however still shows 4 digits upstairs. The board on track showed 25.5 for Pedro Lee and at the photofinishers end showed 25.59 on the timing box. This was reported to the stipes who one agreed the winning time must be less than 25.59 as its generally the chest of the dog that triggers the timmer at the finish NOT the lure. When the time of 25.61 was presented it was argued that the time simply cant be slower than when the dog triggered the timer as if its the chest that triggers it on track the nose is ahead therefore faster. The correct time for Pedro Lee should be around 25.56-57. Best case they could have simply gone with the 25.59 that the photofinish opperator presented however they chose to go with bullshit hand timing off a tv that doesnt have cameras on the line.
