Put in, Pulled Out and Put in Again Auckland's Pointless Lockdown By JC From memory, it’s about ten days since I last wrote an article and since then rather a lot has taken place. Auckland was put in and pulled out of a pointless three-day lockdown and now we are in a seven-day lockdown which will prove to be equally pointless. These lockdowns are doing more harm than good. Lockdowns are not the answer to stamping out Covid. The best we can hope for is a relatively effective vaccine and adapting in such a way that we can learn to live with it, as we have with other viruses. If we accept that as the best long term outcome then the current modus operandi of the Government is highly destructive, bordering on trickery. Propaganda, Petulance and Pernicious Behaviour. The Prime Minister likes to call it a tricky virus. I venture to suggest we have a tricky Prime Minister. I am getting the sense from listening to talkback that this latest lockdown may be a step too far. Even the media, those people she’s funding to keep onside, are starting to see through the propaganda, petulance and pernicious behaviour of the Prime Minister. She introduced the word propaganda herself in something of a Freudian slip when commencing her berating of members of the Papatoetoe family for not following the rules. The family, as it now transpires, did not break any of the rules as the family member in question was not advised to get a test. Even if they had been advised to do so, there was nothing to suggest that the KFC student worker should get tested; so that was two major slips in one speech. These two blunders typify the Government’s handling of the pandemic right from David Clark’s Level 4 bike ride and beach walk. It’s been one error, mistake, gaffe, oversight and inaccuracy after another. I don’t recall David Clark getting half the bollocking this family is. He had no excuse, yet got to stay on in Cabinet, which only serves to illustrate what little depth of talent she has at her disposal. In a top-class grilling from Heather du Plessis-Allan, Chris Hipkins‘s only defence was that everybody knows to get a test if a family member has tested positive. Technically yes, but a Government running a competent system would not rely on that. Rather than take the blame themselves they are blaming the family for another ridiculous lockdown. As a result, the family, and particularly the young person involved, have been abused on social media. This behaviour by the government is utterly disgraceful. To blame a family for the government’s failure to communicate with them is a form of pernicious behaviour that we should not tolerate from any politician, especially the Prime Minister. It shows what little depth there is to the woman beyond the fake hugs and kisses routine. The petulance shown is reminiscent of someone who hasn’t progressed far since her days at Morrinsville College. We, as a country, deserve far better than this. Hipkins is no better. He rails at the Tamakis for fleeing Auckland but there’s not a word about Willie Jackson, who was a participant in the decision to put Auckland into level three, staying on at the boxing. He was supposed to be acting as if being in level three from that moment. The subsequent chaos at the border last Sunday was an avoidable scandal. People having to walk animals on the highway due to stress caused by the heat was a situation worthy of a complaint to the SPCA. Kindness, my rear end. You would have thought those in charge at the border would have had a separate lane for animals in the country of cones. After all, this is not their first try at this nonsense. Why hold up people going into Auckland? The idiotic lockdown was all about those leaving Auckland. But no, both ways for total socialist control. Newshub that night, much to my pleasant surprise, had virtually an hour of negative stories on the Government’s handling of Covid. Now that the true story has come out regarding the Papatoetoe family, the Prime Minister has done her usual Houdini trick and, like Sleepy Joe, headed for her bunker. It is becoming more and more obvious we have a Prime Minister who has never been in control of anything let alone Covid. Her sole raison d’être is to implement her Agenda 30 Marxist policies which she proudly told Bill Gates she was writing into all parts of this country’s legislation. My message to the Prime Minister is simply this: We don’t want Agenda 30 and we don’t want you.

Are the hospitals overflowing with Covid19 patients? Isn't there a White Cross, Southern cross, Doctors rooms and private and public hospitals in most main suburbs in Auckland and the main cities in New Zealand? It's not like people are falling over and dying in the streets like we were lead to believe by this Government around 12 months ago, are we? And don't feed us the Boosheet that they have saved our lives as they have cost people their mental wellness. Now how many youth, and others, have committed suicide over the last year from the distress of all this nonsense 'Science'? Where is MP David Clark?

  5. I thought TRITONIC did it very well. He relished the quicker ground (officially Good) and the sharper flatter track and won as he was entitled to on his flat rating (96). As to whether he'll win the Triumph, the Adonis winner always goes with a big chance but the Triumph is a unique race. They go flat out and it's often a big field and that can unnerve the inexperienced or the mentally fragile and they go too quick for those who have enjoyed the winter plundering prizes on heavy turf. TRITONIC could well be the answer and many think so as he's been backed from 7/2 to 5/2 since winning at Kempton last Saturday. He'll not want too much rain before the Festival but I'm not convinced going the other way on an undulating track in the hustle and bustle is for him. I prefer QUILLIXIOS of the main fancies at this stage.

Spare a thought for the Auckland Racing Club's management. A big day. So many intricate details to be sorted out and so little time to do them.

  12. Brent Mangos just back from a few weeks on the sideline for whip use - NEED YOU NOW - raced three wide in the early and middle stages before improving to lead near the 1000 metres. Driver B Mangos was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion. SHOW ME HEAVEN - an inquiry was opened and adjourned into the manner in which driver B Mangos used his whip over the latter stages of the run home. DANCE TILL DAWN - driver B Mangos was warned for being out of position at the candy pole. The all clear was delayed until Stewards could speak with the connections of 5th placed ARTISAN regarding interference entering the first bend. After speaking with S Phelan and B Purdon dividends were cleared accordingly. Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the manner in which Mr Mangos drove at this time. Unbelievable by the stipes to only warn him after the first infringement. Weren't Blair and Bob given 8 weeks for their 2nd infringement. But the one that pisses me off is the blatant interference caused by him on Dance TD, because the stipes need to talk to Scott and Barry first - WTF would Barry know about what happened? And this is the classic mates helping mates (and we will pay you back later - as Tony did to Zac in the last for pushing him out earlier in the night) and fook the betting public. Not talking through my pockets as only had one bet for the night - multi Morrie with Tim in D Challenge

Chris McNab rode . Had a dig in US Equibase . Didn't do much in California , ran 8th in the Bates Motel Handicap, great name for a race . Then moved to the great trainer of jumpers in US Johnathon Sheppard . He found his calling , raced 7 times over a few years for him, won 4 , 2nd twice and finally DNF in last race . Won at Clemmons in North Carolina , Malvern in Pennsylvania and a place called Prospect that I am finding difficult to track down . Placed at Fair Hills the best jumps track and Southern Pines North Carolina.. According to Wikipedia he went for million bucks to US .

  23. What is your assessment of Tritonic Stodge. Just watched the race from Saturday .Clipped a couple but only 2nd race over hurdles . Loved the way he lengthened up after last , in the right stable and flat form shows he can shift . He was fancied to give weight and beating to Emissary at Yarmouth last year , came up bit short but he's gone for big money to Moroney in OZ .That Triumph looks very very good this year .
