  4. Was he over the limit set for riding a horse in a race the answer is yes so it doesn't matter a brass razzoo what the limit is driving a truck , plane , boat or elephant with wings for that matter , plenty of jobs have a limit below the alcohol limit for driving a car . That being said always glad to see the Magic Man get a winner and hope he comes roaring back . Campaign for raising the alcohol limit for riding 500kgs of horse flesh at speed surrounded by others if that's the issue .

And to show how much of a fucking idiot that you are....20 death per million. There are 66.5m in the UK 20 deaths per million = 1330 deaths. Are you really expecting us to believe that you know better than the NHS and that the number of deaths you are reporting is greater than the greatest number of deaths recorded officially by the NHS? You are a fuckwit who needs to bury yourself.

Remember the same people that say Jacinda is leading Collins are the same people saying Biden is leading Trump. The polls are fake....just to affect the voters There is a silent majority (because MSM is controlled). Hence Trump, Brexit and Scomo. The country is slowly waking up.

You talk such shit you must be embarrassed. FFS, there are statistics on this stuff. They are official. They are compiled by trained and authorised certifiers of the data using techniques that are internationally accepted. You're one of the group of fuckwits that doesn't believe the official statistics. What sort of an idiot are you? Here is the official graph Here are the references you fuckwit https://www.england.nhs.uk/statistics/statistical-work-areas/covid-19-daily-deaths/ This is the official government appointed health organisation statistical authority on the matter..... Just go away, stop trying to exert your own demented, unauthorised opinions on the matter....

This could develop into a game changer , comrade cindy has been able to hide behind covid , borrow , hand out and hide the failures , we are borrowing because of covid but much of what's been borrowed has been used to hide there incompetence . Judith exposed comrade cindy for the fake leader that she is , remember the last election comrade jacinda received JUST 36.9% of the vote most knew she wasn't up to it . For those who think the title comrade is inappropriate watch her on you tube addressing 1000s as COMRADE .

    DISPROPORTIONATE COVERAGE

IMHO until 12 harness horses in a 12 horse race can complete the event on a regular basis and all finish within a reasonable margin between first and last the code will continue to suffer. Governance, starter issues, stripes, rules, grades, North vs South are maybe fixable, galloping pacers and trotters are a betting turnover killer. Standing starts, maiden trotters, etc turn off thoroughbred punters from having a go. Perhaps a third of the harness races have failed to finish or tailed off runners. Not a good look

  12. ▪ Attend regional programming meetings when required and contribute to race planning and programming policy and discussion. ▪ Provide administrative support to the Regional Programming Chairs to prepare for programming meetings and produce programming publications. Here we go, last two dot points in the first section of "Key Accountabilities" This is wide open for the of the knowledgeable contributors to as Baz says "fix this shit".

  13. Yes that does seem to be a bit odd if you consider the penalty based on lost riding days. Would you not think they might amend that under the circumstances?

  14. Interesting that he was given 4 weeks off when jockeys weren't supposed to be travelling between regions. Now he could be riding in the NI if he wished to, so has he been given three times the penalty he might have got if it had been determined this week? I do think Kiwi Ida missed his skills in those two runs up north. His patient approach might have helped her chances. Just imagine if he was an Australian in Australia about to break the record for race wins. They would be all over it. He doesn't get nearly the recognition he deserves over here. Dan Carter gets more coverage turning out for a club team than CWJ gets for riding in big races.

Appeal filed over legality of Coronavirus Lockdown, https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/politics/122795318/appeal-filed-over-legality-of-coronavirus-lockdown It's not over yet as there are concerns about Human Rights, Constitution and proper interpretation of Statues.

Andrew Borrowdale in his wisdom has lodged an Appeal into the recent JR decision so it's not over yet for Ardern and Bloomfield and their team. Constitutional Law, Human Rights and the proper interpretation of Statues are some of the reasons behind this appeal. So much for this guy's "facts" - more like "alternative facts". The UK is now up to a rolling seven-day average of 20 deaths per million and rising. He says there hasn't been a second wave. Yeah right. There is just so much unsubstantiated stuff in this video where the author says things and then doesn't give any source at all for his spurious claims. Take the virus seriously, don't listen to the conspiracy theorists and anti-science brigade or those protesting in virus-spreading numbers (2,000 at an anti-mask protest in Auckland recently) and saying their "civil liberties" are being infringed. You don't have any civil liberties if you are dead. I know someone who died from this virus and it annoys the hell out of me that there are people trying to undermine the work of health officials and scientists who are doing their best to protect us by spreading such nonsense.

  19. That strikes me as a fair penalty. Let's not sugar coat it. Chris is an alcoholic and it's really sad to hear he was back on the turps again. He's an adult and he made his own decision to drink and he knows the rules - so he will have to take it on the chin. More importantly, hopefullyly he's getting the help he needs to stay sober. He's let himself and his family down in this instance but a lot of people have helped him battle his demons in the past and they'll be there again for him with this fall of the wagon. I think he has the most gifted pair of hands I've ever seen on a horse and the thing I really like about him as a rider is that he is kind to horses - and they do their best for him as a result. He never knocks them about like some jockeys who continue to flog a 'dead' horse that's going back through the field. They don't call him the "Magic Man" for nothing and I really hope he returns to beat that all-time record - because he deserves it.

  20. I'll get to the very short review of last weekend presently but a heads up for the weekend ahead and there's a 3-day meeting at Newmarket starting on Thursday. This is the first of a series of Newmarket Saturday cards through the Autumn run on the Rowley Mile. We've had a real Indian Summer in recent days and the ground is currently Good to Firm but it's due to turn much colder and more unsettled from Wednesday so we'll see where we are by the end of the week. The quality builds through the meeting and on Friday there are a pair of Group 2 events. Seven have been entered for the Rockfel over 1400m for the juvenile fillies. MONDAY comes over from the Aidan O'Brien yard having won a Listed at Leopardstown last time. ISABELLA GILES won a Group 3 by seven lengths at Goodwood last time but that was on soft ground and SANTOSHA needs to bounce back from a dismal effort in the Lowther. HAPPY ROMANCE picked up sales races at Newbury and York before winning a Group 3 at Salisbury last time and in a sub-standard renewal, she looks most interesting. The Joel for the older milers has 19 entries and looks a really strong race. BENBATL will love the fast ground and won this last year slamming the useful KING OF COMEDY by five lengths. He meets another Qatar-owned rival in 2000 Guineas winner KAMEKO who hasn't really gone on from the June classic win. In his last three he's finished fourth in the Derby, Sussex and Juddmonte International so you can't say he's not been keeping good company. TILSIT won in controversial circumstances at Goodwood but is clearly on the upgrade while it's interesting to see GLOBAL GIANT come back to 1600m from 2000m though his form behind EXTRA ELUSIVE wasn't franked by the latter on Saturday. Saturday sees three Group races for the juveniles - the Group 2 Royal Lodge over 1600m for the colts and the 1200m Group 1 championship races - the Cheveley Park for the fillies and the Middle Park for the colts.

  25. The Doggies are making ground on Harness as far as the betting public is concerned. No doubt influenced by the fact there are so many more doggy races available to have a dabble on. Just counting NZ races ,the doggies have more races than gallops and harness combined. NZ Harness 'lucky' it had no NZ gallops to contend with yesterday , though plenty of doggies and gallops from 9 different countries !! Geez. One wonders if Harness getting the best possible deal from the TAB and how much of this is self inflicted......lack of unity , lack of strong combined voice etc etc. Interesting seeing the last 2 x Sundays how the First 4 pools can grow by some $20 k a race once a jackpot situation arises......probably a lot of Australian money in this ,but it shows folk are looking to bet on bigger pools . IMO harness needs to do more to help itself......sort out the ongoing Management issues , get consistency in stipe issues ,handicapping ,programming etc. On a positive note ,the low cost streaming of picks and interviews by the likes of Nigel , Andrew and Jo etc where the faces of many drivers and little known participants come into your house online is IMO adding a new dimension and well worth looking out for. Much better than being hooked into the endless TV coverage of doggies. But doggies betting on NZ TAB fast closing in on Harness.

The Coronavirus Act needs to be thrown out for once and for all. It's disproportionate, beyond belief it was ever created when one exercises common sense & looks at the Chain of Events. Michael P Senger author of Chinese Global Lockdown Propaganda Campaign is worthwhile reading his take. Let's face it, we all used to get Earthquake, fire and Exercise Drills, Dental care lessons & how to brush ones teeth, check you don't have nits in yr hair, how to prevent catching Influenza or diseases etc as part of the role carried out by "Public Health" in education so why is this virus so special and different that the world has come to a halt? The photos in early articles in Michael P Senger's account are suffice to show we have been scammed by a pack of lazy Scientists who spend far too much time on Social Media.

I was one of many Southlanders at the NZTR roadshow in Invercargill last week. Bernard and Jackson spoke about a few things, one being, that punters want the consistency the synthetic track will bring. Kelvin Tyler, Steve Blair-Edie, Jo Gordon and Ellis Winsloe all spoke clearly and strongly against the synthetic track at Riccarton, citing the damage it would do to South Island racing, race programming ie they need Oamaru and Timaru to stay, and funding the on-going maintenance costs of the synthetic etc etc. Everybody else who spoke was against it too (except maybe one, and I don't know what he was even on about). Bernie said their concerns were noted. I don't think the southern participants could be accused of not complaining, but they're probably the easiest to ignore. http://www.theoptimist.site/gallop-south-calls-for-justice-through-constitutional-change/ http://www.theoptimist.site/riccartons-synthetic-track-debate-heats-up-as-roadshow-heads-south/ Jo Gordon said no Southland trainers would move their base to Riccarton.

11 races at Ashburton today (and they could easily have run 12) and 12 races at Timaru two weeks ago, all for $10,000 stakes. And yet only enough horses for 8 races at Wingatui and Riccarton for mostly $30,000 stakes. Obviously the stakes allocation is all wrong, and means nothing to most trainers. Can someone explain to me how spending $15m? odd on an all weather track in the SI will resolve all or any of these anomalies? You wouldn't trust this current lot to organise a piss up in a brewery, and yet we are happy to let then play with $15m to build a new track. And they will just walk away when they stuff it all up. If this was an industry that the general public cared about the media would be all over the staggering level of incompetence. As it is, no one really cares and mismanagement is just going to be allowed to continue until it totally destroys the industry. It is incredibly sad, but to some extent the industry deserves what it is allowing to happen. NZTR must be as amazed as anyone with what they have been allowed to get away with virtually without complaint.

    Programming

You people don't seem to realise this has been happening in the SI for years. The reason people think SI form is so inconsistent is because horses are hardly ever racing over the distance they prefer, in the class they prefer and after the ideal gap they prefer. And it is why the same horses race for $30,000 one week and $10,000 the next week. They just have to take a start whenever they can. As I understand it, it is considered much more efficient for the industry to hold fewer meetings regardless of horse numbers. Somehow that generates more profit (loses less money). Apparently it will all come right when we have all weather tracks. There will be some incredibly bright young chap at NZTR who has worked all of this out. He won't have ever actually been to a race meeting and has no interest in horses, but he is really good at computers and has worked out that this is by far the best way for the industry to proceed. Actual horses and owners are quite incidental to the operation of the industry and everything would go much smoother without either of them.
