  1. Has recently returned from Aussie Now rides track work in Wanganui (his home town) as he did a few years ago. well say he,s worked hard on his fitness and not sure about the diet BUT it's really working maybe he could share that with others. Not a bad bloke I wish him luck.

    Lloyd Williams

I see Lloyd Williams has got a few changes going on , Yucatan off back to Ireland according to reports and yard apparently may be sold . A few years back he paid 410K Pounds for point to point winner Dlauro who was red hot favorite when hosing home point to point on debut , the fact he was so short gives it away a bit . The horse had year off and absolutely bolted up in bumper in May . He is a serious horse if he keeps sound . He's in at Punchestown tomorrow , however now owned by JP MacManus. Strange one as JP won't buy a horse with issues as no need to , Williams don't need money . Horse is good show of making it to Cheltenham as live chance in a novice , odd one to cash up on .

  3. Wow!!! Rode the reactive lad for the first time this morning in the above bridle with a rubber coated snaffle bit. I got off him and doubled check if it was the same horse. It's taken a few weeks to work him out with just the basics and discovered the lighter the bridle gear on him the better he went. What a kind comfortable bridle and gives the right control needed. I'm a happy little camper.

    This is hard case...

Was just on the mighty AllStars site, checkin out how me fav horses were going, big move to Aucks an all, when I came across this in the 'racin news here'..... Comments: Thefixer has the dreaded inside second row draw over a distance short of his best in any case and follows out Atomic Red who is having only his third start since July 1918 when he finished 2nd to Let It Ride in the G1 Blacks a Fake....now I'm thinkin that has got to be some horse Cheers Iraklis

  6. Lookingat the trial results at Waverly 21/11 i see a rider named Malcolm Hill. Does anybody know if this is the Malcolm Hill from many years ago that was apprenticed at the same time with gary Dando to the Sanders at Te Awamutu or is ths a new guy. From memory the old M.Hill was a reasonable rider. Thanks in advance.

    Unbelievable

Mikie - I didn't say I have not read it "properly" I said I haven't had time to reply to all your points, afterall you raise a lot of them mainly general statements rather than what my original post was about - running two meetings on the night of a major event. Afterall, NZMT have shifted their nights albeit the clash was in their own town (oops I mean city) It's up to you, not me, isn't it, whether you reply to me or anyone else for that matter. I will reply to anything posted in here in the future if I so desire regardless who posts it and whether they like or dislike any/all harness organisations. Enjoy the racing, good punting!

    Unbelievable

HRNZ is controlled by a number of staff who have been in their jobs for too long and have been promoted beyond their level of ability

  10. Trump

    Trump written off

Whether you like or dislike Donald Trump, everyone must realise that he has totally discredited mainstream media and it really pisses the MSM off big-time. They can’t control the narrative. Campaign donations to the 2020 Trump campaign are coming in at “double” the rate of Democrat donations and so far, the Dems have not been able to pin anything on him! He’s playing them on a break. I hope he wins and goes on to expose the Clintons for what they are and the Democrats and their media pals for what they are. I don’t like Trump as a person but I like that fact that he’s got the balls to take on the Establishment, the Corrupt, the UN, NATO and “especially“ - the Climate Change lunatics! He’s brought a new meaning to the term “You’re Fired!” And I hope he keeps his best for Pelosi and Co. They are a desperate disgrace who haven’t got over their loss in 2016. Go the Donald! (A wanker - but a good one!)

    Broodmare wanted

You could do a lot worse that Lot 13 currently on Gavelhouse - Looks like she was a $90,000 yearling - By Per Incanto out of a Volksraad mare out of a Montjeu mare and it's a family that sell well .....Good luck. P.s - I'm no way involved with this horse or the vendor.

    Aalaalune

You don't often get a Lotto winner prepared to put money into horses or racing. He's already been prudent enough to dump some rubbish and so it's good to see him get a little success. May not be a superstar but more in store by the way she won yesterday.

    B.P's BIG DAY AT PUKEKOHE

To be fair to these guys they have to pick 4 horses in every race even if they don’t like the race. The Get On programme from Aussie do it best .They talk about each race but only tip one if they think it’s worth a bet.

    So what's the real answer

can i ask those of us here... what is the percentage (Roughly) of the profits(TAB/ON-Course betting) after Tax do the punting community contribute into the sustainablility of a Race clubs survival?? im just curious?? and from whom does the majority of the financial support come from.. to sustain a racing club. im a bit of a noob.. when it comes to seeing the big picture of the working beast!!

    Tough times at Karaka

Just out of interest I see the free to view channel 200 costs $250 per hour to hire, why can we not have the NZ Saturday Racing on this channel so it brings racing back to more of an general audience?

    Tough times at Karaka

Once they have sold off all the land, sold the TAB ,alienated the punter(still more to do in that area)excluded the people that are actually interested in racing/training/breeding a horse the whole game will be fixed and all of a sudden the persons that weren't interested in horse racing or breeding or buying a horse they all of a sudden become interested in horses and they go to the sales and purchase a horse and start punting,no more pass ins at that sales after that and the Australians return in droves buying our product ,everything sorted ...it'll happen in front of your very eyes like magic!

    Measles

I usually have one question when fronted with a vehement “anti-vaccination” Warrior. My question is this. “Explain to me how the average life expectancy of humans has just about trebled over the last 200 years”. They normally find it hard to answer beyond “Better diets”. My answer is, modern medicine and vaccination against certain diseases. We exercise less, eat more processed food, walk less, do less physical activity due to modern appliances like washing machines, heaters (no wood chopping), buy our veggies so don’t have to hoe a field, etc etc, yet life expectancy for the “average” male in a western civilisation has reached around 80yo for men and women. Why and how? It’s a no brainer. Modern medicine. I think Big Pharma has a lot of question marks against it. But it has also supplied a lot of answers in relation to why our life expectancy is getting longer and longer.
