So you expect clubs with assets who have been treated appalling by the likes of NZTR and operated within their means and utilised their volunteer base to continue operating ,to front up and borrow money ,so that the same appalling cycle of treatment can occur again? I hope allot of these clubs think about what they are doing if that's the case.

Be a comedy ifit wasn't so real. How many times do people have to be told, NZTR do not invest in the venues they are closing and in most cases in the last couple of decades never have, too many tracks and closing the ones that don't cost you anything to operate is the worst business acumen that could ever be displayed ,especially if they can't sell them up.

    ABs Awesome

Great effort by the ABs. Total team effort from 1-23. Ireland had no answers from the first minute. And im hoping the Zpoms cop the same treatment. Can't see why not. Can't see us going backwards from here on in. Pretty proud of them today. Played at a different pace and level.

    Caulfield Cup Field?

No ! you are just using a metric thats totally irrelevant and skewed to support your argument. not surprising though, most people resist change. look at nz racing , same old, play it again Sam.

    Trump written off

Mrs Clinton accuses Dem candidate Gabbard of being a Russian Assett. Ms Gabbard replied with some great hits. When is the former first lady realise that she is no longer considered to be squeaky clean and even some Dems are side stepping her. Go Away.

  8. Good call Toblerone - good to remove the last player advantage. Having said that, using last player advantage is not cheating - it's just a case of playing smart (within the rules) There is no last player advantage right now because there are still so many people in contention, but when you're down to a few it can make a big difference.

What particular horses are awaiting a rating decline ? , Mirage Dancer went ok today , Constantinople went ok after being sandwiched to almost a stop in straight , Mustajeer was close up , Royal Match a northern 3 yo with 60kgs went ok today after year off and trip round the world , 110 rated COGH went well last week straight out quarantine , 112 rated Prince Aaron almost gave 3.5kgs to arguably the best staying 3 year old trained in NZ last year in Herbert Power and all the northern horses that had a win last year , how are the ratings too wonky, are the above horses rated too lightly up north because they are a long way behind Enable , Crystal Ocean and Waldgeist who sit on 128 . Do Timeform overate them or the official handicapper ? The money going up north suggests trainers and owners rate the horses higher in the distance range 2000 metres and up than those they can buy down here . COGH exposed the current quality of WFA horses down here last week.9 year old geldings mopping up the others . As for the sprinters , without doubt clearly OZ the best .

  14. There are definitely a few things I would like to address. One being the risk and reward for Group 1 and 2 races. You want three times the points? you face three times the penalties.

  19. After much indecision I have decided on Number 11 Arcadia Queen in The Everest...was going to rely on a C Williams slaughter in the CC but I will stick with the mare as classy as she is my gut tells me the race is a touch short for her....anyway good luck to all still alive...thanks for the comp.

I can see Winnie and his cohorts devising a bill to cover Incorporated Societies within the Racing fraternity to get at their assets but I have a question to ask Is the Auckland Racing Club an incorporated Society as such. And have they signed over their assets to the the encumbrant body.? Or is it just the little clubs they pestering. It becomes a catch 22 situation with some of the clubs doomed for the hatchet and be pillaged be quick enough to perhaps deregister from the main body (for race days) dissolve the Racing Club under the incorporation rules and still carry on as training centres and such under their own steam Thus fulfilling most times their purposes under such objects of their incorporation dissolution. They also carry on supporting the rest of the country’s Racing by the continued supply of horses ,trainers jockeys stablehand etc for the long term. WHICH IN MY OPINION WILL BE BETTER FOR RACING THAN SELLING UP THE COURSES . Costing the RITA nothing as it has been as most little clubs tell you what’s been happening in the past.

Otaki? Is it still the OMRC? I would have thought that in this PC World it wouldn’t be allowed! As for it being the future? Madness. Foxton would be better. Easy access from all areas within an hours drive and closer to the majority of the horse population in that zone.

    BARREL RUNNER

Time to Remember, you have obviously got your magnifying glass out, and turned your imagination up to fool. No case to answer. Would not even have got a warning in Australia. If you're keen on searching for the worst in everything - buy yourself a mirror - it will give you a lifetime supply of fault to find.
