Hopefully less than we intend winning in the next five years4 points

I am getting sick to death of the way our media (digital especially!) focus on the irrelevant, the "high rollers", and in most cases a combination of the two. Last weekend we had the amazing feat of Tallyho Twinkletoe winning the big jumps race in Australia. A cut and paste job from an Aussie scribe is all we can manage. Instead we want to focus on a maiden winner from one of our top stables, some "expert-on-training" jockey who is off to do some shopping in Japan, another update on a riders delayed return to riding, and how another NZ trainer is shifting across the Tasman. What about the real news or real stories? Tallyhoe Twinkletoe is owned by Dave McNab. The guy has been in the game longer than the three individuals mentioned above all put together! He has achieved at the highest level of the game, been a rider, a very prominent owner, and has probably influenced family members like Scotty and Sarah to be involved in racing to the extent they have. Why no story? Well you wont see him with his own ad on Trackside. Living on a farm up the Whanganui River isnt near Cambridge. And the once noble act of "keeping under the radar" is now seen as being ignorant or not trying to promote racing. Not interviewing our true contributors to the industry is not promoting racing. Having no knowledge of who they are is even worse.3 points

As predicted ad nauseum more gifted young trainers sure to follow. NZRB has morphed into RITA which will morph into Wagering NZ. Same elite people enjoying a daily banquet while the real workers are fighting over the crumbs.2 points

Another Departure To Australia

12 wins last year and just over 200k in stakes so unless he is buying and selling or making plenty from training fees then imo he would be struggling.2 points -
That's because if you have an average programmer in the form of Andy Kydd you get mediocrity. I have had many a conversation with him to cut out the betting comment and get with the horse stories. Nothing happens.2 points

Good on you for giving him every chance to perform, patience is a virtue and zeds have certainly shown plenty for a sire that was sent to serve station hacks for a while, I have a wee interest in a 5yr old to and fingers crossed he can make the races at some stage, to be fair one must celebrate the occasion of just getting one there, so many hurdles along the way.1 point

I've heard the guy on talkback radio and I can tell you if I was on the Helpdesk and he called me, I'd pay out on the expired ticket immediately as well just to avoid having to listen to that incessant monotone dribble - fark me!1 point

That Ken is a leading light in the industry at Governance level or should I be looking at the sleep emoji. It concerns me that Rita has be running the show for several weeks now and nothing appears to have changed. HRNZ don't even appear to be aware that there was a Messara report. They have restructered their board, but all thats achieved is disenfranchise all sub entities such as the Breeders Association and the Owners Association These organisations are no longer guaranteed seats on the board and consequently the opportunity to advocate for their members.1 point

Trump has the backing of the US military, his own intelligence and MI. I have heard 6 thousand people will immediately lose their lives if Trump was assassinated ....may or may not be true. Anyhow I think it was game over for the large deep state players some time ago. The military have been planning this for many years. You are watching a show.....that's the reason Trump is always proven right This is from October 2017 and tells you plenty. Anonymous ID: P3Lk4PKG No.147106598 Oct 29 2017 11:11:40 (EST) Some of us come here to drop crumbs, just crumbs. POTUS is 100% insulated - any discussion suggesting he’s even a target is false. POTUS will not be addressing nation on any of these issues as people begin to be indicted and must remain neutral for pure optical reasons. To suggest this is the plan is false and should be common sense. Focus on Military Intellingence/ State Secrets and why might that be used vs any three letter agency What SC decision opened the door for a sitting President to activate - what must be showed? Why is POTUS surrounded by generals ^^ Again, there are a lot more good people than bad so have faith. This was a hostile takeover from an evil corrupt network of players (not just Democrats). Don’t fool yourself into thinking Obama, Soros, Roth’s, Clinton’s etc have more power present day than POTUS. Operation Mockingbird Patriots are in control. Sit back and enjoy the show. I never quite understand this Ricky stuff when it crops up. In my opinion, in terms of longevity, his career is one of the best we've ever had. I dont know the exact number, but from memory, since 1989 he's only finished outside of the top five drivers for the season on about a handful of occasions, and on those occasions was usually not far off it. Nearly 3,000 wins would suggest anyone who questions his ability in the sulky might need to take a good look at themselves. Add to that the fact that over the past 90 seasons, which have included the dominance of Dexter and Blair he's still managed to drive more than 900 winners and I'd suggest he doesnt have to answer to anyone. Just my opinion and happy to be proven wrong. Three decades on top, and right near the top of your field is a remarkable feat by anyone - and there's no sign of it stopping anytime soon either.1 point -
Can't agree although although perhaps not so relevant as previously. AS an example I don't think the role Peter Kelly played in Central Districts ever received the recognition due. He made Central Districts racing both oncourse and offcourse for so many years. Alan Bright was ok and Tony Lee a worthy replacement although now Tony nowhere near his best. Some of the Ozzie commentators are terrible except in Western Australia. Darren Flindell now very boring. Craig Rail may have been pushed out in Australia prematurely but really there is ample NZ callers available at this time.1 point
