It would cost a lot to pay JA out. The RITA Mob are very clued up . I think they will manage JA until the end of term. Remember JA was/is a civil servant and would be used to being directed. Thanks Baz, yes, Voltaire’s Secret makes his debut this Saturday at TeRapa in race 4, the maiden 3yo 1200m. His work has been good, he has blinkers and a tongue tie on, and Vinny Colgan takes the mount. I do think he will handle the ground, although TeRapa can trip a few up these days. Good luck to his new owners and I hope he runs a big race for you.

Have a read of the Anti Money Laundering Law and 6AB in particular. http://www.legislation.govt.nz/regulation/public/2018/0200/latest/whole.html#LMS95108 It states $10,000 as the cash transaction in line with cash deposits at banks so why the #$%^ did the NZRB change that legal requirement to 1k. They have set up a huge team to administer it. At 10k and not 1k the staff numbers to administer it would be about 10% of what it is now. Why the %$^%& would you create extra work and headaches for your customers. Don't worry about the huge increase in staff expenses to admin the 1K level set it doesn't matter the Industry has plenty of money to piss away. Someone needs to ask the hard question what were you idiots thinking and who was Empire Building in an obvious move to justify their position.

I intend to go and have a look at Mendelssohn. Sending a mare to Aust is only the air fare as I have a farm over there. Sadly many NZ stallions progeny do not command good prices at many of the Aust sales. It will be interesting to see how Vadamos goes.
