Was inaugurated into the hall of fame friday at Auckland.well deserved. It is fair to say the industry is behind Blair and John in troubled times.1 and 2 in premiership so has the support of trainers owners. Looks that way

    Damn TAB app.

I’ve had the same password since the internet began, but last week it was apparently incorrect and after a few tries I got locked out. I also had some issues with a ‘bonus’ that I’d been offered. I have never called the help desk in decades of betting, yet last week had to call three times!

    Damn TAB app.

It's driving me insane. A couple of weeks ago the TAB app stalls for me, it won't let me in for a few prime hours on a Saturday afternoon. Today, it won't let me deposit money via my VISA, even though I'm prepared to pay the unique $2-plus fee for the privilege... yet the opposition betting agency is always keen to take my money, and funny enough without any delay, or fee. Call it competition/accountability whatever. Your Identification could not be complete because of a system error. If this happens consistently please contact your CSR. No thanks. Now I'm not talking through my pocket today, the TAB saved me money by refusing to take mine. But to think $40-$50 million was or still is being spent on this betting platform, which was to ensure our TAB is internationally competitive. Really. And whilst I'm moaning where do I get a Best Bets from other than from a TAB, its been 100 years since I last bought one but today I couldn't find one at any service stations or the local dairy. Ending on a positive - My vote for Winston counted. With The Informant gone, we can still follow Brian Delore's industry updates: www.theoptimist.co.nz

    Damn TAB app.

There is no need for further proof. The $50M spent on "new" platform has been an absolute disaster. Next step is to make accountable all those responsible for the disaster. Then find the solution to solve the problem. One part solution would be to extricate NZTR from the same premises housing NZRB. i.e. relocate NZTR onto Ellerslie racecourse. Handy to airport, population, sponsors and public exposure. That way NZTR wouldn't just rubber stamp TAB.

  8. MORE MEDIA HYPOCRISY Sir Bob Jones · April 12, 2019 · Australian footballer Israel Folau, a devout Christian, quoting Corinthians, warned on social media that “drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars and fornicators will end up in hell unless they repent. Jesus Christ loves you and is giving you time to turn away from your sin and come to him.” A number of questions arise. First, these remarks are totally consistent with the Bible (and the Koran) so why the uproar? Second, why did the critics, including the Prime Minister, solely complain about the reference to homosexuals? What about us drunks and fornicators? Doesn’t she care about our pain? We know the answer to that, namely unlike fairydom we’re not fashionable at the moment. I can understand journalists concentration on homosexuals as few are whereas make no mistake, the vast majority I’ve known are drunks, adulterers, liars and fornicators to various degrees, so too heaps of MP’s. A double-standard here methinks. This whole episode is a classic pack-hunting media contrivance. I have difficulty believing a single drunk, fornicator, homosexual, adulterer or liar reading Israel’s remarks gave a damn. He’s entitled to express his religious beliefs as much as I for example am, to continue pursuing my life-long mockery of religion. Mind you Israel should be careful here for he could be in for a shock when he reaches heaven and meets Jesus, at least if Hugh Montefiore, the former Bishop of Birmingham is correct. In 1967 Hugh, a respected academic, in a lecture to churchmen at Oxford University, suggested Jesus was a homosexual. Subsequently, numerous theists and scholars have put forward the same proposition. So, when big strapping Israel finally meets Jesus in heaven, rather than the expected greeting it could be, “Ithwail, lovely to thee you.” And here’s some more double-standards. Take the fuss when Brunei announced that henceforth homosexuals would be stoned to death, this consistent with the Koran. Well consider this passage from the Bible’s Leviticus. “If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall be put to death…”. And that’s the thing about Christianity. Its entire history has been making it up as you go and a high degree of selectivity as to what bits believers find convenient to subscribe to. Israel deserves Christians’ admiration for his absolutism rather than picking and choosing what suits him. The downside is when he does finally bowl through the Pearly Gates, he might find heaven a rather lonely place. Far better to get stuck into a bit of fornicating and end up with the rest of us in Hell. It promises to be quite a fun place, putting aside the racket of non-stop screaming coming from Catholic clergy being boiled in vats.

    Damn TAB app.

Finding a Best Bets is like finding Hens teeth . I’ve located my local Paper Plus as a stockist only place in our town I think . Still like it but it’s frustrating to have no Thursday racing in the publication of this week they decided to leave out Melbourne and Sydney and replace with Gold Coast and Morphettvlle . Understand adding GC as the QLD carnival but deleting the MLB and SYD meeting is crazy .

    Trentham presenting

Why cant Management cut the on course speakers when the trackside presenters are trying to talk. It's highly annoying trying to hear, must be murder for the presenter when that guy is wittering on. When on course some months ago it was so distracting we left early, it adds no value, and like a torture because its relentless.

    Kentucky Derby Coverage

The problem is that it should really have been the horse that was wiped out on the turn protesting, not the runner up who was not really hampered. I think Maximum Security should have won but the interference put the steward in a tricky spot because under their rules he had to be disqualified. It's a shame but there was very nearly a bad fall from the incident which would have been an even worse result for the sport which is struggling in the US as it is.

Yes it has to be safe but Key did make the unconditional promise to recover the bodies in the days after the disaster. However,The Tories were mindful that any recovery may point the finger at their Government so did not put in much of an effort and they just wanted it to go away. The Tories will be shitting themselves that something will be disclosed from the mine. The crooked Minister of Finance, Bill English who channelled rental income that he was not entitled to through his family Trust told the SOE that it needed to make bigger profits so they expanded at rapid pace and went broke as well as building Pike River. That useless prick English has to take some blame for what occurred.

    For what its worth....

A MUST READ: Terrorism is terrorism. Period. by SB Imam Tawhidi I have followed Australian Imam Tawhidi for a while now and have written about him a couple of times. We have published a number of his videos as well. He is a brave and wise man and his in-depth knowledge of Islam can be relied upon. He is a man of peace and when he says something, I listen. His recent article on the terror attack in Christchurch explains clearly the three lessons that we should learn from this tragedy. quote.
