So NZ tracks get double the av yearly rainfall. How crazy.....just so they can have a D4 rating in summer So unless it's a sand based track its a bog in winter....just so crazy So 50% of the time (when there's extra moisture they race off the rail to less irrigated parts of the track) and degrade the product. Irrigate Jan and Feb only Wanganui was a joke today racing off rail (some cutting the corner, some around the world) Marlborough fantastic rail great both days3 points

You ask why change a great .websight ? I have found most changes in organisations are not done to provide a more comprehensive service for owners/trainers/punters because of altruistic reasons but for a chance to create an extra income source . You heard it here first . The proof of their intentions (as is the case in USA) may lie in HRNZ tucking the widely used Infohorse under the hrnz member a/c area . It might be me but look up your horse and then find an error so you have to sign in before permitted into it...(why ????????? ) Am I getting paranoic ?2 points -
I use my cell phone for internet use, it's easier, quicker and more mobile than a laptop. So I have only viewed the new website on my phone. But from what I have seen so far, it is a backwards step from the previous website, which 2piper correctly pointed out, that it won the award for best harness website in the world at one point. I have found the new website to be not as easy to (a) navigate and (b) view (fields) as before. I agree with Fartoomuch; why fix something that is not broken?2 points

There are two Aussie sires that I have bred to over the years that are reasonably priced and have achieved very good race results with their progeny namely Domesday and Shamus Award. They both have stood for A$10,000 and have enjoyed reasonable books. I suggested Shamus Award to one leading Waikato studmaster late last year and he said that he could not afford him. As a Cox Plate and Australian Guineas winner He would be among the best performed stallions to stand here. He is now standing in Victoria which is good news for that state. At the May weaning sale you will see the first crop of Telperions. The foals I have seen are outstanding2 points

Well done to Luke Myers who recorded his first winning race day ride yesterday at Wanganui in the Amateur. Note to all professional riders: watch the replay. A great result for a bloody hard worker. I'm sure the half day off school was worth it.1 point

So Mueller was involved with Uranium 1 and covered up 9/11. Rod Rosenstein illegally signed a FISA document. Rod Rosenstein's wife is Lisa H Barsoomian a US Attorny who has represented the swamp many times including the Clinton foundation and Obama So the deep state had full confidence they were going to nail Trump with these swamp dwellers. I believe they all flipped and were working undercover for the Trump/Q train.....they would have been freed from the Clinton killing machine. RR had to resign because he can now testify in the upcoming trials....The AG and DAG cannot testify while holding office.. Same for Jeff Sessions. He recused himself so the Deep state trusted RR and got fired so he can also testify. No doubt RR wife is presenting evidence against the CF and others. Trust the plan Enjoy the show1 point

don't worry the changes are coming - just not on the website1 point -
At one stage the website was voted the best worldwide in the harness industry. With that accolade why change ? Moving with the times ? Not sure it has though. Went to the compressed fields and only gave me 3.5 of the 10 races at Rangiora (used my mobile ). Pedigree page was 3 generators on mobile but 5 generations on laptop .Had to click grandam or gransire to go back further (mobile ). Certainly not as bad as the TAB change. No Industry links found ??1 point

Chitina Tin - I was rather suspicious of the name of this greyhound when it first showed up at Addington. However, I was assured it was reputable and my research confirmed this Chitina is pronounced Chit-nuh and is a small town in Alaska. The Chtina Tin Shop is an historic building there. It is also known as Fred'Place and Schaupp's. The greyhound is by Apatche (sic) Jet from Angel of Mine. Bred, owned and trained by Alison Lee of Rangiora and has won 8 races, I believe.1 point -

I've posted about this before. You can't lay your own horse, but you can back every other horse in the race (de facto laying your horse) and it's all good.1 point -

Yes , it went very well yesterday. In fact most of the AS team went well but then whats unusual about that. Winterfell was the best performance on the day though as it ran time off 30 Roll on The Jewels, i can see a lot of the usual moaning about their domination coming up. Greg1 point -

It's the lay of the track at Trentham. It's incredibly rocky not too far down and drainage has always been an issue. In summer the inside is fantastic as it holds moisture, in rainy seasons it holds too much. It can be mastered but it needs different treatment over the track, the outside is a different make up to the inside, but that isn't how the track management operates now. Track Managers used to live on the track, the house was there, I know I used to get up at 3am to move or turn off sprinklers, they lived and breathed the champagne turf, they knew it, but that is just not the case these days. It is an old river bed, its difficult and it behaves like one but it can also be a fantastic racing surface.1 point

Be interesting to see what the new website is like. I think the current one is fantastic, as it has all the information one could possibly need, is very well set out and easy to navigate.1 point

These are children who demand the newest smartphones, are chauffered to school where they are cosseted in air-conditioned classrooms, lavishly praised for how unique and wonderful they are, and no one is allowed to fail. They are spared even the confronting sight of a red pencil mark on their – rarely handwritten and increasingly grammatically deficient, not to say badly spelled – work. And they are endlessly, endlessly drilled in green-left dogma. Quote: Generations who came after the fall of the Roman Empire were often astonished at the crumbling splendour they saw all around them. Some decided that they could only have been built by giants. Quote: That cartoon is possibly one of the most brilliant cartoons I have ever seen.1 point -
