The FBI secretly investigate Michael Jackson for four years - tracking his where abouts, his computers, phone calls, etc and release a 300 plus page file completely vindicating him, stating there was absolutely nothing to even remotely suggest he was an abuser, and the general public (and media) completely ignores it. Yet two admitted liars and perjurers (one of which who even refers to himself as a ‘master of deception’) can come out with a completely one sided, sensationalist story (yes story not documentary) which contains literally no evidence whatsoever (and is full of inconsistencies) and a large majority of the public doesn’t even question it. The jurors who found Michael Jackson not guilty in his 2005 trial agree with the FBI. Juror Paulina Coccoz said: ‘It was pretty obvious there was no molestation done...it was pretty obvious that there were ulterior motives on behalf of the family. And the mother, she orchestrated the whole thing..there wasn’t a shred of evidence’. Just because a story is graphic and disturbing doesn’t make it factual. Before you judge anything do your research. Facts don’t lie, people do. The bottom line is.. If you want to view Michael Jackson as a pedophile, you will. It’s easy to do. He admitted to allowing children to sleep in his bedroom (which itself is the same size as a small two story house) and has been accused of child molestation more then once. He’s not the guy next door, was undeniably eccentric, and most certainly didn’t live a conventional life. But to anyone who has bothered to look into the allegations against him - and I mean really look into them - there is more than enough evidence to demonstrate that he was a victim of extortion and of copycat false claims for the past twenty five years. Yet despite the Los Angeles Police Department stating that Jackson should be presumed to be innocent, despite a jury finding him not guilty on every single charge against him, despite the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services twice investigating and clearing him of wrongdoing, despite the FBI conducting a very thorough investigation in which no evidence of wrongdoing was found, and despite the cash grab lawsuits of his posthumous accusers being tossed out of court, the court of public opinion may sadly be what defines this saga and a large part of his legacy.3 points

I think a correspondent from Hamilton writing an article for Stuff this morning just about summed up the situation when he said " People write rules about any issue they can imagine. When these rules create bad outcomes they create more rules. 'Only following the rules' was the defense of many Nazi's. Remember there is a real person at the other end of the rule".1 point

Jacinda Ardern
crustyngrizzly reacted to rdytdy for a topic
The unloved capital gains tax by Christie Photo credit: South Island Independence Movement Most people now accept that Capital Gains Tax (CGT) will do very little to make housing more affordable. Most people, that is, except Jacinda Ardern. She continually parrots the claim that it will help young people get into the housing market; when all the evidence is that it will not. I’m not sure if she is untruthful or incompetent, but she is one or the other. quote. This is because she doesn’t understand the issues. Most owner-occupied houses are family homes and, even though the TWG has tried to include as many as possible, there will still be a huge number of properties where capital gains can still be tax free. quote. No, because nobody is really benefiting from it. Taxpayers may get a few extra dollars each week as a result, but they would have got that if National had been kept in power anyway. quote. Singled out even further, you mean. Landlords get the worst treatment of all taxpayers. I’m surprised there are still 600,000 rentals, but I’ll bet that number will drop like a stone if CGT is ever brought in. quote. They have done nothing about immigration. Kiwibuild is a complete fail. Now CGT looks to be a complete failure too. Jacinda came in as the head of a ‘transformational’ government that was going to solve all the problems of the world. Now everyone is beginning to see the truth; that they never had a clue what they were doing and they simply made promises; promises that they had no idea whether or not they could keep. What a joke this ‘transformational’ government has turned out to be.1 point -

Going to the races to make a few bucks on the punt seem to have gone. Mick Guerin picked 7 winners out of the 10 races............... If you had put $10 win on each selection ( 1st pick ) you would have made $7.00 for your $100 outlay............... Terrific !! As for 8 horse fields and one trainer winning everything........... YAWN I think its time to make all Alex Park meetings Equalizator meetings........ now that would be fun.1 point -

"Woman cave"?!?!?! Haha what would go on in there?!?!1 point -
Do we really need "on the spot" interviews. Surely that is what the press is for! My pet hate though is that interviewer (usually O'Connor) manages to get into the photo that i'm sure the owners want to hang in their man (or woman) cave. Sorry, but if it was my horse I would be rude and say "Bugger off - this is our moment and our photo", or perhaps another word I learned at school in the Naki!1 point

Trump written off
6xes reacted to tripple alliance for a topic
The dems are in real trouble and making Trumps re election a certainty. The dems are getting close to splitting apart , the extreme loony left who's policy's are to far left they are going to split the party down the middle. Yep they may as well concede defeat now. The Russian collusion investigation has produced nothing , there only achievement is catching a couple of crooks on unrelated matters . The new approach by the dems is to investigate all of the people who Trump and his family have done business with , this must be a huge attack on democracy , why would every day citizens get involved in politics with those type of threats hanging around , we all remember what happened Cavanagh . This is a new low by the dems , they are doomed , not by Trump but by there own actions .1 point -
