I have been to HQ Viaduct and HQ Jackson St. I can assure you that the people at HQ Viaduct take a much bigger interest in our industry than do the drones in Petone.

You want to try cycling to work, all that traffic, going through narrow gaps, thats not for the faint hearted either, and that's just getting there, not to mention work place hazards as well.

I've now weighed in light and been relegated from 3rd to 6th!

This will either be the biggest night in NZ's racing history, or a dud scud missile.......and we know what happens with unexploded ammunition don't we?

So how much is Claudelands owned by Hamilton City Council charging for the hire? With so many racing club conference venues isn't the Messara report hypocritical before even its release?

What a run by Sea King to get up and win the Australian Grand National Steeplechase today. That took his career number of wins to twenty and stake money past $1 million. Seventeen of those wins have been over the jumps, eleven hurdle wins and six steeplechase wins. My understanding is that it may well be his swansong today and if so what a way to go out. Great jumper!!

Lazarus N supplemented to Canadian Pacing Derby Back to Home page Lazarus N and driver Yannick Gingras winning the Dan Patch Stakes MILTON, ON - August 20, 2018 - The deadline for supplements to this year's Canadian Pacing Derby and Maple Leaf Trot was Monday morning and the Woodbine Race Office received payments from the connections of Lazarus N and Dancer Hall. A $40,000 payment was required to supplement to the Canadian Pacing Derby or Maple Leaf Trot. "The Wonder from Down Under" Lazarus N will be making his second start on North American soil in the Canadian Pacing Derby. The six-year-old stallion won his U.S. debut on August 10 at Hoosier Park in the $325,000 Dan Patch. Earlier this year, Lazarus N was purchased by Taylor Made Stallion and brought to North America with eyes on the top races for older pacers and a potential World Record. The son of Bettors Delight, out of Christian Cullen mare Bethany, dominated the racing scene Down Under, winning 35 of 45 starts and earning $2.6 million prior to being purchased. Lazarus N races for Hall of Fame trainer Jimmy Takter. Dancer Hall has been a breakout star this season at Woodbine Mohawk Park and now the four-year-old will get the opportunity to take on the sport's best in the Maple Leaf Trot. A son of Deweycheatumnhowe, Dancer Hall has won seven of his last 10 starts heading into the Maple Leaf Trot. His most recent victory was 4 3/4 lengths score in the $75,000 Earl Rowe Invitational on Sunday evening at Georgian Downs.The Paul Reid trainee has been starring in the Woodbine Preferred this summer, having posted four wins and three runner-up finishes in seven Preferred starts. Dancer Hall is eight for 13 this season with $173,500 earned for owners 1187422 Ontario Inc. of Ottawa. His career numbers currently sit at 16 wins and $273,150 earned. No, unfortunately far from successful, lots of kickback and pending where the rail is, a leader bias, which is normally worked out after a couple of races. They are working on it, but it will take awhile to get a reasonable resolution to the problem. Sad really, as it had been a really good winter surface prior to this, still possibly better than 90% of most winter tracks here in NZ, but kickback for horses and riders is really bad if you are back in the field, something that can’t be solved in a short time.

One word comes to mind when watching her performances, it starts with F and ends with K...…..Freak!! And that she is. Best I have ever seen for sure.

Godolphin must be utterly sick of her going past their horses at a rate if knotts.

Hope it all goes well for him.... even if he is not out study will be good for him...only 3 races next weekend, 1 in NZ 2 in Australia. Well done on a good day today.
