The special option they put out yesterday morning was a stand alone option not affecting anything else.

I think nobody believes Brosnan or Dalgety purposely doped their horses either. What most can't believe is the differences in penalties given

    TAB

How many times has Bosson had problems with his weight recently? If you're punting something you should be aware of intricacies of that bet surely? The likelihood he won't see the day out, the likelihood he won't make the weight on certain horses and so on.

Memo Opie knockers When you bet on an option like the Jockeys Challege you should factor in the possibility that some jockeys may not be able to ride at the carded weight and either ride overweight or are stood down. No use grizzling-it is a case of punter beware.

    TAB

How is it a ripoff by the TAB?, they obviously put the odds up in good faith that the rider has accepted rides that he can make the weight at. I don't see it as any different than backing a horse that doesn't go on wet ground , its up to the punter to do the research on these bets , Bosson has a history of weight difficulties surely that is priced into the odds on offer by the TAB yesterday.

Perhaps it constantly needs stroking. Some times you just can't leave it upto others.

Yes I have seen that. It's interesting as AIM has provided much great info over time but when analyzing Q ,Thomas seemed very weak when decoding the Q posts. As though he hasn't been following at all and says there have been 3 Qs ( although I believe its a team) I get the vagueness and cryptic nature of Q but it has been a great way to inform and get people to understand the enormity of the corruption and size of the operation. We are living in a historic time....soon to be revealed. Corsi has contacts within the White House and believes he knows who he/they are. Trump and Mattis frequently acknowledge Qs existence so until things don't pan out I'm on board. Whatever the outcome the Alt Media has generally proven correct and12 months ahead of MSM.! IG report should start to wake the masses.....interesting how most of the conspiracy theories will turn out to be true.

Leo, Thanks very much for sponsoring the competition and providing such a generous prize. Given the infrequency with which I select winners, you were very unlucky the competition did not extend for a longer period of time. I regret to advise I am not an ex-jockey. To the contrary my physique is more Jazz Muller than Keith Murdoch. Thanks again for the competition. Tony

    NEW Competition & Cash Prize

Cheers Scooby, got a couple of things a bit unclear but mostly I think contributors enjoyed it. Will see how the fields look for TA and Riccarton as it was good to be able to include a Riverton race this week, hell I may even amend my rules to 3 NZ races and 1 OZ race for the next round.

What about NZTR though. This is what’s been reported and I’ve no reason to disbelieve it. 1. The last CEO appointed was an unemployed Australian. 2. The current CEO was an unemployed Australian 3. The handicapping model was written by an unemployed Australian 4. The current “chair” was the head of the now defunct and failed Australian racing channel TVN. WTF is it about Australia’s unemployed ( and presumably failures ) that makes them so attractive to NZTR ?

You've got to remember who was the chair of the RIB when Bayliss was appointed....Jackson. What a mess that was.

    Lets Hope They Unite.

The Board appoints the CEO hence that’s who appointed John Allen, with probable persuasion from the National Minister at the time, Nathan Guy. The same Minister appointed the Chair, Glenda Hughes, who is a high up National person. The three independent members also get appointed by the Minister!!! (That’s the Racing Act that Gary Chittick presided over, and that at the time, I told him was flawed. He told me that I didn’t know what I was talking about! Who is right now Gary? - Sorry to digress guys.) The three codes get to put forward ONE Board Member each. So as you see the Codes have very little say, especially when trying to push their own interests, and are effectively kneecapped by Clause 16 anyway.

Dear Brian de Lore Your article has some merit, however you appear to have become distracted by the NZRB and their personnel. Might I remind you that the NZRB only interprets and implements The Racing Act, yet you’ve failed to mention any obvious flaws in the Act, or recommend constructive changes. In addition you neglect to address the real root of our problems, that being the inability of NZTR and our major clubs to play to our strengths and utilize our substantial assets for the code’s adavantage. Our major clubs are very well positioned cash and asset wise to make all the changes required, but they lack a visionary leader, and a strategic paper to model change on. As for NZTR, well Brian, maybe you should list their achievements of this century because the way I see it they’ve done absolutely nothing other than swan around the globe, and this country, slurping and burping their way into oblivion. To exacerbate matters they’ve wasted every cent the industry has earnt on stakes. My summary Brian. You’ve been duped. You’re just Alan Jackson and Garry Chittick’s stool pigeon. NZTR has a strategy to deflect blame from themselves, they exploit the ignorance of industry participants by blaming the soft target you’ve focused on, the NZRB. It’s disappointing that a relatively intelligent industry observer like you has been sucked in so easily Brian, and now you’re firing shots at the decoys while the ducks fly by. How about we agree that your intent is noble, your cause has gravity, but now you’ll balance the equation and write chapter two, “ the achievements of NZTR since the introduction of The Racing Act 2003 “ Once you convince me that NZTR has done anything for the common good of licensees I’ll then subscribe to your views. Best Leo

    Monaco Consul for sale unreserved

Let's see where he turns up, he would not be the worst option for NZ breeders, especially if priced well, I'm thinking that at $3k service fee, he would be a lot of stallion with a track record and a lot of upside.

    Chautauqua....has he had enough....???

Been fascinated to read all the comments on social media about why he won't come out of the gates. We spent a lot of last winter puzzling a similar thing with one of our horses. She loves working. Loves Racing & is 100% fit, healthy, happy & in no pain. But took to getting slower & slower away. We tried a few gear changes & they didn't work. Everyone else seemed to get super stressed at the gates wanting her to jump & she got 1000% worse! Once we pusuaded everyone to just back off & leave her be, she decided to jump out again. Though it's still on her terms & I'd never bet on what she's going to do. She's very strong minded & likes very set routine. If anything isn't to her liking then she's not happy. Sometimes you just have to accept that you can't control everything. Chautauqua looks like the kind of horse that knows his own mind & will definitely have the final word on the subject.
