One could say John Dunn was team driving. By locking the favoured Purdon runner in the park out position to give the easy run to the Dunn stablemate in the trail. There is a conspiracy theory in every race if you look hard enough!5 points

Well that was a strange ole day for the 'Ad Augusta'. First we were going to play the Joker ......then we pulled back and decided to wait for another day. Then we were glad we didn't play the Joker ......when we went down 2-3 (with two of our matchups lost by less than $15 each !) Then we found we earned both a Team Profit point AND a higher aggregate point. One plus one ....um .....you got the calculator, Geoff ? So then we were wondering if maybe we should have played the Joker...cos then our 2 points would have doubled to 4 points. Then we found that though we lost the game today, our team standing has risen from 6th to 4th !! So what I am saying is ....even when we lost, we won! Cos I'm a glass half-full kinda guy. Congratulations to Captain of the victorious team Pete of The Royle Family , ably supported as I knew he would be by a fabulous team of Roylettes. Well done, The Royle Family. 'Unforgotten' at Rosehill was what brought us Double AAs undone today, and 'Unforgotten' that horse will definitely be back at 'Ad Augusta' HQ. Next time 'Unforgotten' ....please.....know your role. When Holy Snow goes up to win at the 100m, that's exactly what we want to see happen ...no late theatrics from you..yes, I'm talking to you..'Unforgotten.' Special mention today for 'Ad Augusta' stalwart Tom who was absolutely brilliant, won 8 out of 10 races, and not surprisingly top scorer of all players in the Comp today. Legend. Well backed up by in particular the Cat ...Catalano....a good win there. Come the end of the day, 'Ad Augusta' still well in this, only 2 points shy of 2nd place, and with a Joker play to come. We'd planned to launch the Joker against The Dark Horses, but given their first-class performances to date that could be lunacy. I have to say that 'The Rubiks' and 'Lay Down Mizere' are coming in to our sights. I've been sensing some fragile performances there and unless they lift themselves out of the rut quick-smart then 'Ad Augusta' could be launching a Joker play bigtime at one of them. Watch this space. Thanks as always for a top performance scoring and commentating today PJ. Your effort is truly Unforgotten.3 points -
Actually I have to thank you...after reading this post from you earlier I was looking at the big race at Gosford...lo and behold I see a horse called "can't find snippy", hmmm I thought to myself...I know where snippy is and duly placed a lazy $ 50 a place on it at 18s. Guess what?...it just ran 3rd. I enclose the proof as you do seem to doubt what most people say but thanks for the $900 perhaps it will go toward more comps . 17 Mar 18 18:36 O 1008 Final Fld Top3 Deductions Apply FPW $50.00 14 Can't Find Snippy (6) @$18.00 $50.00 17 Mar 183 points

Is that the same as Harcourts having a 70% share in real estate or Bunnings forcing small hardware stores to close or Toyota dominating the new car industry. Should they all turn customers away and tell them to go else where and support all the struggling smaller businesses. They are the leaders in their chosen areas just as the All Stars are. Its up to the rest to improve and try and increase their market share or try a different approach to survive. This is the way it is in the "free world" with democratic rules or are you suggesting we should look at a communist style where we are all equal and no one rises above the rest. Not for me thanks Brodie.3 points -

Tim horse was keen and he beat John Dunn’s horse home aswell, if he attacked and stopped before the one he attacked then maybe fair enough. But you could argue if John handed up to Tim would he wouldn’t have been flat at the top of the straight and may have found the line better than he did3 points -
Cubity has a routine..... Lose money , go to ATM , go to Woolston TAB to deposit said dollaros , lose money.... The Cubemeister reckons Mrs Cubes never reads our postingness on this site , so our personal confessions here about moneyness never get read by the boss , so our poor puntingness go undetected.... Ashburton yesterday , somewhere up North today .....same old same old ....dollars down the drain.... But gloriousness is surely just around the corner... Following some restauranteurs' thoroughbred , backing all South Island runners and jockeys tomorrow , the Warriors on a winning streak...all signs point to the year of the dog being the turn around year for the Cubinator... Or not...2 points

When was the blue magic scandal? Weren't all involved parties charged, fined, suspended at the time (years ago)? LongOwner your loyalty to your stable is commendable; but it's a fact they have a recent record of dubious raceday practices. Non accountability, finger pointing and the favour they appear to carry with those in high places leaves a very sour taste with many participants. You may be comfortable with 'a little caffine'. As owners we want our horses competing on a level playing field within the rules and as such find attitudes like this a bloody disgrace!2 points

Is Savvy Coup as good as Princess Coup?
chelseacol and one other reacted to Yir Tiz for a topic
Must be something about the war era (returned men) LZ, my dad would quote virtually the same thing "a horse that runs a good mile , will run you a good 2 miles" he also ran a book at the Manukau Hotel here in Onehunga. I have adapted his "weight sheets" over the years and they are the basis of my calculations still today.2 points -
All good! It looks like I did the best but not the five winners I needed. These guys (?) always put up their own money for a FREE comp which is incredibly generous. Just annoyed couldn't have a punt today.2 points

She was a class above and I tipped her earlier but I jumped off as I thought she would pull too hard over 2400M she did exactly that and still beat them fair and square a nice filly with a big future I would have thought.2 points -
Really?? We had been up in Hanmer for a short break this week so full credit to the staff topping off the team for Friday's racing. It was a wonderful effort from all of them and they deserve a lion's share of the praise for our success this week. We headed home on Friday and while we kept tags on how things were going it was a tribute to Tim and Michelle in particular but also all the rest of our staff that it turned out so well on Friday. WE are thrilled with the way they have achieved what they have,2 points

They had a little caffeine which produced a positive, you say Mark had blue magic but yet never tested positive for it? He done his time after owning up for something he was never tested positive for, Dunn’s tested positive and try to denied it funny that1 point -
a pointless comparison...but the way she has gone from strength to strength over the summer has me hopeful that she can take on the best in Australia .. if they look after her well Didn't look like two miles would be a prpblem either1 point
-
It's a tough one. As unlike Bunnings who could supply the whole country, if all the other trainers gave up or relocated to Oz the Allstars would have nobody to race against. The AS team deserves their dominance in one respect, but it's not an attractive look at the same time. I have no idea what the answer is, with racing (in general) as a pastime seemingly in decline as a pastime choice.1 point

Why is it that every horse that they line up is so superior to all the other horses ??????? Not quite, Brodie, they have had 232 starters 71wins 46 seconds 23 thirds 92 have not run a place. All-Stars want you to write their CV.1 point
