    Peter Hunter

watching this incident live on trackside it looked as though Allan Becks horse clipped the wheel in front of it and went rough and run in and made contact with Louie's front legs which made it crash quickly to the ground Blair Orange looked the lucky one to escape serious injury and the height peter Hunter fell from meant he was lucky not to have broken bones as well The question is why weren't the drivers concerned in the incident,Williams and Beck and K Barclay, questioned on the day and the outcome concluded after the meeting so it could be in the stewards report? why is there need to question others drivers when some of them were only involved in the aftermath of the first interference which caused Louie to fall. Surely by delaying this incident it only causes more questions when it could of been cleared up on the day?

    Palemo

The RIU has ordered that Palemo be vetted before running in Race 4 the Steeplechase at Te Rapa today presumably because he raced on Thursday at Otaki. I am sure Kevin Myers would not be running him if he wasn't 100%.I suggest that the RIU stick to what they are experts at i.e. protecting certain licence holders and hounding others.

    QUADDIE'S

They seem pretty hard to pick............. I mean B.P spent $182 at Puke today in the 2 quaddies and got what Paddie shot at. Whats more we do it all again tomorrow but not before suggesting the Kiwi's beat Australia..... that a boy !! The TAB must love you........... I don't think you have selected a quaddie this year have you ?? I'm just working out how to give you a claim : maybe the 1st and 2nd second horses count as 1st home for you until you strike one.

    Miss Norway

kawiboy first law of punting is that when you back for a win it runs second and when you back for a place it runs fourth. Proof- in Miss Norway's race I backed Savannah Gem for a place and it of course ran fourth!

    Thats David

What a horse. You could have sworn at the 400 he was gone, and was going to be swamped but the old boy keeps kicking. What a awesome horse. At least you always know what you get with this bloke, no frills, gutsy and brave. No super star but keeps winning them.

  45. For goodness sake Trump; I am in no doubt that NZ's two most unheralded currently active champion sportmen are CWJ and Simon Mannering. Anyone who doesn't appreciate how good CWJ is has no real feel for racing. The man has been so good for so long, we are incredibly lucky to have seen his like in action for so long. Others have come and gone, but CWJ has endured and shared his skills with several generations of punters and other racing participants. We often don't appreciate such people until they have gone. In any other country he would be a superstar. My own favourite CWJ ride will always be his Oaks on Domino. I'm sure other fans have their favourite rides as well.

Final Luca the floater. Big hitter Sir C, keep it up. JOKER time. Thunderbirds are no match for mounted Mongols ,sabres, archery platoons and trebuchets. We need to make a statement and pull clear of the cellar dwellers. Anyone in disagreement please let me know. Yours GENGHIS
