  1. Good on you Pete, 40 years of devotion to the Greyhound Industry and the "tossers" make us change the name Bunny. !!!! How bloody sad have things become when this crap is forced on you as a caller and us all, in general. I believe your comments on air were justified and the choice of name is Superb .... ) Keep up the good work . Here comes Rapeti..... Regards Clarkie

  3. Well done Wazza. $18 wasn't hard to take especially watching the race at The Merino. Stu wasn't there - he was babysitting a bunch of 15/16 year olds, or should I say, making sure they didn't find the keys to the locked bar.

  4. Congratulation to all involved Lots of work went into the win after the dog sustained a bad toe injury back in Jan 2015 Both Warren and Stu Dickinson deserve all the success that come their way with the time and money they spend on the greyhounds they both love to watch run around Well done to the team

    Has the TAB asked

Thank you Von S. for you witty contribution to this thread. However, as per my original post, I'd be interested to read if any of you have emailed the Help Desk - which obviously hasn't helped or this thread would be closed - and been asked send your IP address in order to help them find a 'pattern to the problem'. (quite a nice turn of phrase I thought) On a serious note, how can the NZ TAB bleat about leakage (which conjures up unpleasant images of personal problems) when their site continually collapses in a cloud of technological disaster?? Hedley my treasure, I hope you have an off shore account. If not, smarten up the footwork and open one. Remember, the joys of Spring racing are waiting in the wings.

    NZTR Survey

Exactly Midget. It again confirms that at least for 80% of owners, stakes and major race wins are NOT the primary driver. So why the hell do NZTR base all their strategy, especially round the structure of racing, as though they are? It just doesn't make one iota of sense. It's mainly about following my horse and watching it race and visiting the stables (56%) It's is mainly about sharing the experience with friends or family (24%) It's mainly about business - return on investment, trading horses, developing breeding stock (13%) It's mainly about winning major/prestigious races (7%)

    NZTR Survey

Given that only 20% of owners bothered to respond, and the ratios quoted seem to suggest the big studs didn't participate shall we fill in the gaps for those same big studs? 1. We race horses because we keep those we most desire as yearlings ( fillies ) and race them as replacement breeding stock. 2. We want increased stakes to subsidise our racing division because we don't make enough out of capital gain, grazing, stud fees and yearling sales. 3. The industry owes us a living so we want more 4. Licensees are just lower class labourers so they should bleed and be deprived so the stakes for fillies and mares races can be orchestrated upwards, for the benefit of our replacement female racing stock. 5. Why even have racing stakes increases?, just give us the money, lease our buildings, give us effective control of the industry, and pay for our winter holidays.
