Be interested to see the varying prices and cost Around the country. My guess is depending on the operation the variance will be around a 1k a month.I ll kick off by saying here in the CHB its approx 2 k a month in race mode small stable low track fees low overheads.2 points

Once again Michelle Payne is in denial. She denies she did anything wrong in the Azkadellia ride and now denies she was to blame for the fall. It was a shocker, you could see her looking across to get out off the fence and she angles out and attempts to find a gap that was never there for her. Straight after the race using My-Sky I watched it at least six times and knew she was going to get a decent suspension. 20 meetings. I did not see the Crystal Mile (the following race) so cannot comment on her ride but another 10 meeting suspension. After the past week she needs to take a good long hard look at the way she is currently riding.2 points

with technology breakthroughs now a daily occurrence, surely it is just a matter of time before the japs , germans, yanks or even a kiwi invents a robot jockey. with the human race getting bigger and bigger,( pygmies and midget wrestlers excluded), you know it makes sense. they could be programmed to dodge interference, be fitted with a rear view function ( ok , i know shane dye pioneered the manual rear view ) would not require a sling, would never be victim of circumstances, never be involved in jockey tapes or associate with drug dealers, and would never need to waste. you could even have remote control functions for trainers, if you were in the stand and for instance M.Robot went to take off 1000 mr out in a cox plate against G. Robot then you could press control, alt, delete and resume normal transmission. imagine , no more indisposed, stood down because of illness, no injury or heaven forbid morttalities, no fines for waving the whip before the winning post, no more azkadellia slaughters, no more excuses, and no riding fees, just a one off purchase price and the cost of the batteries if a simple aussie pickle packer like i can invent solar powered pogo sticks then surely, surely some one out there can design and market the robot jockey. it's the way of the future, sorry michelle1 point

Lot 299 Savaveel - Classical Hi Guys, As I bred and own this chap, I will add a little bit more to the debate. Why did I bred Classical to Savabeel? a] At the time I thought that Savabeel was about to take off, and at 20K good value. b] I liked the pedigree because of the duplication of Nureyev and Val De Loir. c] I had earlier mated Classical's mum to Zabeel [Val De Loir duplication] and got a Stakes Winner [Game On]. d] The Nureyev duplication added another dimension to the pedigree and of course the Val De Loir duplication was retained. e] If the resultant foal threw to either, Savabeel, Nureyev or even Val De Loir [less likely] then I was on a winner. You have seen the pedigree, check out the very small video clip, taken when I visited the stable three days before the Breeze Up's, and tell me who you think he has thrown to. Well done Jack and Grant and beaut efforts Tom and Skoota .. apologies for my woeful attempt. See you lads next week as we start our campaign for the Presidents League finals Can you please remember to add in an additional selection for each race (in brackets) because it will automatically be used as a sub if you have a scratching after you post and it is a good back up if I don't catch all your scratchings1 point

That's why I can't understand why we have so many heats for the NZ Cup on Thursday, if you look at the Noms there are actually only 30 C5 dogs nominated yet we have 7 heats, there are C2, C3 and C4 dogs in the heats, I have no problem with the C4 dogs making up full fields for the heats but seems they just wanted to give a start to anything that nominated, whether they have earned the right to be there or not.1 point -

Gee you get excited Gubellini. Not one person on this thread has said, "Sack her from the horse." Not one person has said ride the filly on the speed. These ideas have come from you! Come on, it was a bad ride. for all the reasons I stated above in my post at 8:43pm that night. The reason being where the filly was placed in the running. But, hey, I don't have a jockey's licence, what would I know! Mind you, I don't have a pilots licence either, but I can tell the difference between a good landing and a bad one. Michelle has tried to defend the ride by stating that she couldn't get to the outer because of the runner on her outside. Does that not fully justify my take on the ride. Bad placement which then caused Michelle to search for a run in the straight. She was a beaten a head. How much extra ground did the filly have to cover in that endeavour. How much forward momentum did it cost the filly by having to switch ground in the straight instead of being able to propel forward in a straight line? Remember. the margin at the line was a head. Both Australian and NZ Retro Shows lambasted the ride, as have the press and huge number of the punting public. One would think that there would be a number of those who have done so would be well qualified to judge. I note also that the stewards took her into the room and questioned her re the ride. Do you note a consistent theme here? In my opinion Michelle should have put her hand up and said, sorry, I fu*#*#ed up. I'll do better next time. Just as Mark Du Plessis did on his ride on Bounding in the 1000 Guineas last year ( ride widely condemned). Came out and made amends by winning the G1 Railway at Ellerslie with a lovely ride. On this ride you are defending the indefensible. However good luck to Michelle and Azkadellia in the future.1 point
