  2. Been out of the game for a couple of years and have never come across a Triabit.I have used like most trainers Ring bits for years especially in races if only for the fact they cant go through a horses mouth should it decide to go in a different direction than the jockey wants.Having said that I personally dont like them as horses tend to fight a ring bit especially in trackwork if they pull a bit(pardon the pun)Most European trainers use Snaffles as they are easier on the mouth and checkers are a good way to counteract them coming through. If anyone can tell me why most horses race here in ring bits other than everyone does it I would like to know because I really dont see their advantage.Lucy if there are no cuts obvious in your horses mouth but you see blood he could be biting his tounge and if he is that may be because of the bit.He also may need his teeth seen too

  3. I've seen a couple that the Triabit pinched cheeks on, young ones that were upgrading from tom thumbs to "big kid bits", once they had worn them a few times they seemed ok though. Just as an observation, I think they are the kind of bit that is better off half a hole looser than your standard bit, they seem to sit better and riders have said horses are more relaxed with them that way.

  4. Mate, apart from that aberration It hasn't been one of my best seasons. And yeah,, Dave again, we could all collaborate and get a point apiece.(oops sorry PJ you didn't hear that). The jokers still have to come out,so it could get interesting,as long as Reilly remembers he is Captain. EH REILLY. Good times, love the Triple headers.

  5. Micky coleman rode in Singapore for a year against some of the worlds best so he lacks nothing in experience or ability so the original post is a load of rubbish.James Mcdonald blew them away from the moment he arrived in Aus.I agree with Ted Al Rocas Ride was very average and thats being nice.Micheal knows Xanadu better than anyone so I think it was the right move to take him over. She failed but im sure micheals imput after the race will be more valuable to the trainer than an aus jock who had never ridden her before

  8. Well done, Kitty Kats ...a big win for you all yesterday against one of the high-flying teams in the comp, the mighty Auks ! Wasn't one of The Blues Brothers better days ...though looking at the bright side we : (i) at least didn't play our Joker ...and (ii) still had a better week than our Mayor did. Hopefully we'll bounce back next week to keep our Championship winning hopes alive, without any pesky kats to rain on our parade. So it's onwards and upwards, where I see I'm up against the formidable Globederby (first time I think) and Dave from the Highlanders who I come up against so often I'm sensing I can pretty much pick his picks before he does. Someone's gotta pay for our heavy Blues loss, and I'm thinking the Hurricanes and the Highlanders will be a good place to start. hehe. GO THE MIGHTY BLUES !

  9. You are not filling us in with much . are the horses just doing trackwork? Is it occurring after racing? do you have changes in the riders ie. trackwork have you examined your horses mouths especially inside down the side of the gums for scarring or open cuts (most probable cause) just run your index finger around in the corner of the mouth .doesnt take much of a cut to produce blood on any bit.

    Len Brown

Look Len Brown was a second level lawyer from Manukau who learned his Civics from the greatest fence sitter of all time Barry Curtis. Arriving in the Super City with the assistance of the left, Len has shown no nous for running the show - economics as well as expansion doesnt have to be mutually exclusive. It is apparent that Len has engaged a huge office to run the outfit and they are blithely building the debt to a huge burden. I dont care who is is sticking it up but we really can't afford this fool. Leave him there and like California we will go broke.

    Len Brown

Your point is valid Chevy50, but I have to make the point that while you have been a good husband and probably a good father, would I be correct in suggesting that your contribution to your city and people would fall a long way short when compared to that of Len Browns. May I suggest that Len Brown comes from a family of pillars, do you? May I suggest that Len Brown has bred high quality, high achieving and contributing stock, have you? My intention here is not to undermine you as a person but rather point out that to shoot a good horse because it chews a post is short sighted when the risk is that the next horse with it's perfect manners may run you broke.

  12. Trainers now have a choice and can pick or choose when to travel. Some dogs suit Southland and some don't but dogs are racing and that's the important thing.
